Thanks Jud, they look a bit blown up now that I'm looking at the post on my computer but they are good fun to paint.
I also started a tomb kings army at some point using 3d prints from a kickstarter, the GW models cost a fortune over here.

I’m gonna wait for the release, like you say they’re ruinously expensive atm!
What’s next for you?

I'm slowly chipping away at some regular goblins to fill out my troop choices. I'm experimenting with some different green paints to use for their skin, but I've not really found a recipe that I like. There's also a block of 6 trolls (or 5 trolls and a treestump filler because they wouldn't rank up right) that's almost done, they just need a few details.
edit:
I snapped a few pictures:

Loving those trolls! (River Trolls?) Personally I really like the green skin you’ve started with.
Sometimes green skin can come across a bit gaudy, yours are most definitely not.
Seems to be a fantasy theme round here atm!
Keep up the good work, looking forward to more.

Thanks, I don't mind my current recipe for characters and big boys like trolls. But I'm averaging one evening per goblin (for the 3 I finished) with layering and highlights, so I'm going to have to streamline things a little if I'm going to field several units of the little buggers.
I might pick up some green contrast or speedpaint this week to play around with.

Fair enough, I usually paint a model every day or every 2 days depending on the model.
Obviously you need a lot of goblins!!
I’ve been using a lot of Contrast paints lately, I’d recommend Creed Camo for Greenskins, it’s the colour I used on the Leviadon.
Good luck with your project.

Yeah at ~4 points a piece it takes a few to fill out an army. I'm looking into playing border patrol and the army restrictions make running goblins a bit problematic. The gobbos themselves don't pack much of a punch and with only 1 special or rare there's not a lot of options for goblin trickery.. So I'm going to change directions a bit and add some brute force in the form of 24 Orc Big 'Uns joined by an Orc Big Boss.

The true beauty of fantasy is just blocks and blocks of troops. Its definitely a quantity has its own quality feel. Definitly agree with jud, the swampy green skin is perfect for them

So for the last few weeks I've been working on this bad boy:
So far I've mainly been working on the metallic parts of the body and trying to figure out how I want to do the trim on the armor panels. I still need to build the giant lasercannon arms, but I'm hoping build and basecoat them tomorrow afternoon. I also got some dirtydown rust to play around with, which is supposed to be excellent stuff.

Beautiful model. Also it’s flipping MASSIVE!!!!!
Is it Forgeworld?
Good work so far, I’m sure it’ll look incredible once you’ve finished it.
Keep us posted!

thanks guys, it's a Knight Porphyrion. Which is technically from forgeworld, but the FW model is 500+ euros so this is not an original.

good on you for locating 3rd party, while Forgeworld do make some cool stuff in theory, they seem to be disrespecting their deal with GW of late. So many issues arrising from poor casting, warping, breakages etc which you just don't get from other companies. And they cost an absolute fortune too!
and while I own a few books of theirs (and a lot of their models), their rules are so far above codex creep its insane, its literally a premium tier for gaming - pay to win by using latest forgeworld models, and see them slowly get balanced over the next few years / editions.
what you are creating there is cool though, I think the Pour-fire-on is an amusing machine and have considered it as a diversion away from purchasing myself an actual titan... though as yet I've done neither.
Look forward to what you do withit, I'm currently playing with a nurgle knight so will be looking for inspiration!
Looking good so far!

I don't think it's much smaller than a warhound, it's also kind of why I got it.. I have a regular knight sitting in a box somewhere, but I wanted a big centerpiece model. I kind of wanted the other version with the segmented top armor, but it has giant conversion beamers that are in a weird spot on the tabletop.
And this one is also pretty cool. I might add some more knights and armigers/moirax soon. But painting it is quite a challenge

Yeah, it’s definitely an awesome centrepiece model!
Looking forward to your Knight Household taking off!
Just keep chipping away and you’ll be fine.

It's been a while since I did anything hobby related. But I had the week of from work and decided to pick up a brush; It could even be used by Guardsmen However I'm planning to use it for an Imperium Maledictum (40k ttrpg) campaign I'm GMing. I still want to clean up a few spot where the wash pooled around the rivets. But it's tabletop ready in my book. I had a play around with some chipping fluid, I was a bit heavy handed with it. But this thing is supposed to look pretty rundown anyway. Being an inconspicous smuggling vehicle.. Also the dirt help hide the print marks, and a few spots where my print failed are now just 'damaged'

Thanks tread, it was a fun little project for sure.
It's been ages since I played anything mini related and it's nice to get back into it. Also an excellent motivator to get stuff painted

Upcoming games are great for inspiring new projects, when you realise you just need one more of 'X' unit etc!

scheduling a game with 5 adults is a pain in the ass, but the Imperium Maledictum games do leave me wanting to paint more stuff. And it's nice that it can be a wide mix of things.
So I started on this chaos thing:
I've since painted the tongue and tentacaly shoulder bits a brighter blue to give the model a bit of contrast. But I think I want a different colour for the robe. My original idea was to use a raspberry like colour for the cloth, since there is a line of cultists that work with these mutants. When I got to painting the mutants I started using the raspberry as a base for the demonic flesh and I like the look quite a bit, but it does mean I need a new colour for the robes. they are dark purple now, which kind of works.. but I'm not sold yet.

For some reason I can not see it either now...
Probably google photos being extra difficult, I'll upload the updated version to yaktribe later today. They have some great image/album hosting.
