Well lets see. There is the fish wall. Which is where you take 6 groups of fire warriors and 3 groups of path finder... and of them have devilfishys. You place those sideways at the front of deployment and then have pulserifles, railrifles, and railguns(if you got em) Rip the enemy to shreads.

Fish of Fury: Fire Warriors on board Devilfish run 12" up and stop 1" away, hop out the back, and Rapid Fire into your unit. Since it's a skimmer, it doesn't block line-of-sight, but does require a Target Priority test for your return fire to ignore, it arguably provides a 4+ coversave (for having a Vehicle between you and the target that doesn't block LoS), and an assault attempt has to move around the outside of the 'Fish, meaning that basic infantry don't have enough movement to assault. Feeding Frenzy: Squadron of Piranha zip up the battlefield and circle an enemy transport so that they block all the access points before unloading with their burst cannons/fusion blasters, destroying the transport and killing everyone inside. JSJ: Jump-shoot-jump. If you haven't encountered this, you've never fought Tau... Ninja'O: A Command battlesuit, either a Shas'O or Shas'El, kitted with Vectored Retrothrusters (Hit and run Universal Special Rule) and Stimulant Injectors (Feel No Pain USR), as well as two weapons of choice. {I prefer a single weapon and a shield generator, personally}. Suit moves, shoots a heavy weapon unit, then assaults. After failing to die during close combat, it stays locked in close combat at the end of the Tau turn. During your turn, the unit remains helplessly locked, unable to move or fire. End of your assault phase, the suit Hits and Runs so that, during the Tau turn, it may move in, shoot, and charge once more.

These all look good, but they all have fairly simple counters...

Okay so they're all some sort of aquatic animal. The Guard's got the mythical animal names going on for chimera variants... Medusa, Chimera, Basilisk, Griffon, ECT.

I'm sure that Leman Russ, Primarch of the Space Wolves Legion, will be quite glad to hear he's a mythical creature.

Ahhh. This is where I get all Technical.
All Guard Vehicals, That were Created by the Guard for the Guard are Mythical Creatures.
The Leman Russ Battle Tank was named after Leman Russ, and it was Original used in Space Wolves Armies. Therefor, Its Origins are of the Space Wolves, not the Guard.

Devilfish was actually a name for the manta! So speaks wikipedia! " devil fish (Mobula mobular), also known as the giant devil ray, is an Eagle ray in the family Myliobatidae. They are endemic to the Mediterranean Sea and can be found elsewhere in the Eastern Atlantic Ocean, off the southwest coast of Ireland and south of Portugal. It is larger than the lesser devil ray, and it possesses a spiny tail. The species feeds on crustaceans and small schools of fish."

I find fish of fury works well but in 5th ED no priority tests :-( my own tactic is if your enemy has a land raider of something else that coasts a bucketload of points I fire 3 broadsides railguns at it and if its a vehicle then it usally explodes making a big hole and I rush 2 mobs of fully tooled up kroot (19 kroot, 1 shaper, 12 hounds, and 3 krootox) through the hole while firewarriors cover and gun drones/anything that pins pin the assault troops allowing me to widen the hole
