yeah they suck so bad that when they panic and flee they dont cause panic to other gnoblars.. so basically with that many units its mostly bickering that will slow u down.. and if a unit runs ( little over 50 pts ) its not the end of the world cause it is just that one unit running.. very scary when u think that way.. and gnoblars can soak up damage and still kick around for a while too.. so they can give some scary rank bonuses and win just by outnumbering, banner, and ranks.. causing large units to run away even if they did mass damage to the unit in the first place.. very scary to run from gnoblars..

Fantasy is a game that is best played with about 90-150 models a side. This translates in most armies to about 7- 12 units. Ogres and chaos, goblins, and dwarves play a bit differently, but that really is beside the point. I play Lizardmen and want to get into Ogre Kingdoms if they're continued in the new edition. I've got about 2000 points of the scalykind put together... about 1225 painted

I love ogres... my gobbos are undefeated against them. Last big game I played agaisnt them I annihilated an entire squad of 10 yeti on turn one with spider riders. ;D I also killed 10 ogres and 60+ gobbos on the first turn my fanatics came out. The worst part is that I destroyed his entire left flank and my army was barely dented. I love the new rules for night gobbos, except for now they're 3 points instead of 2.

ok.. first mistake of the ogre player.. he had a 10 man unit of yetees??? my current list for 2000 points is, tyrant, 3 butchers, 1x3bulls, 6x3 ironguts, 2xgorgers.. that is all as far as goblins go.. i need to figure out my list and begin to playtest them now.. i only have 4 characters, 120 spearmen, 60 archers, 20 spider riders, giant, and will convert a lobber and 2 chukkas.. made from 3 skull pass box sets, and a giant for kicks.. ideas? would love to win with them but fear that i will be more on the receiving end of pain.. oh and i will convert netters and fanatics from the dwarf ( soon to be corspes ) from one skull pass boxset.. but just not sure how many to get..

I don't much look into fantasy that often but a 10 man group of yetees... aren't they like a bunch of big foots. oh well I have a few of those short little guys with big beards. You know... nothing stands taller than the might of the dwarfs. Never forget a grudge no... put it in a huge book so you CAN'T forget them!
All that hate in such a little package.

i field a 2500 point Bretonnian army.... unit of 2 units of men-at-arms ( 20 and 15) 2 units of bowmen ( 15 and 15), and 4 regiments of knights ( 9 each). Then my lord, 3 Paladins, and a Damsel

*squeak* Bretonians are unfair enemies, enemies *squeak* They uses thingies like *squeak* horses and wear thick, thick armours, yes, yes *squeak, squeak*
But the might of our Clan Skyre adepts will break them, break them, yes *squeeak*
As you already guessd perhaps I play Skaven and often fight more with my weaponary than with my opponents... My army is about 1000 points at the moment, but I'll make them a bit bigger till the summer campaign this year.

I love skaven models but have never started an army of them.. I probably should have started them instead of goblins since I like them a ton more ( conversion opportunities are the same, but more browns and pestilence instead of stupidity ) but then again I would be paying way too much to be playing skaven versus my goblins.. nothing but Battle for Skull Pass models so far.. and a giant.. just cause it is cool looking and it had parts I want for my ogres..

Skaven are really cool. But if you compare it with Imperial Guard, the Guard is an elite army... I get many too many slaves for the cost of just one squad of guardsmen... To the pestilence thingies: I don't like them that much. Sure they're good for flanking and are really tough, but I prefer the shooting stuff from Clan Skyere and all the nice creatures from Clan Moulder over perstilence and assassins. And all the normal rats and slaves and rats and much more rats

Yeah having a few teams of jezzails sitting on a hill are just scary... combined with that thunderball of theirs.. and some warlocks.. very scary.. but i still prefer the assassins.. they just look cool and can be converted so nicely..

I don't even use Warlocks and I'm not planning to do so Just Chieftains, Warlords and Prophets. And perhaps I'll later change to a 100% Clan Moulder army

can never have enough skeles.. plus egyptians are cool never played them but they seem solid.. just make sure you buy and paint a lot of skeles though.. cause i think they have the spell that allows them to raise the dead and such can create entirely new units or add to existing ones.. and from what I read its better to raise to existing ones since they can get all the same gear as the regiment instead of just a hand weapon or something like that..

been playing againest a new skaven player.. and I will admit they are tough to beat.. but once I get the close combat train moving it is game over.. your magic can only hold out so long and if you dont bait correctly the ogres will dominate the playing field time and time again.. 3 games, 2 masscres and a solid victory.. was 44 points away from a 3rd massacre though..

Erm Skaven based on magic?! That's crazy. You have too few sorcerors. Just they Grey Seers and Warlocks. And Warlocks are week. So they mainly win by either shooting or CC. You just have to fight with brains. Slaves are the ones that have to survive the main fighing. Clan Rats, Storm Vermin and other good fighters are there for flanking. And Skaven are good in flanking, as they're fast. So if you let Ogres run into you main line you made a critical mistake...
