I once thought about having a tank that was one half desert camo and one half urban camo. The fluff behind this idea would have been, the unit had been fighting in an urban warzone however they had to be rushed to the desert where they were needed the most and hadn`t had the time to fully re-paint the tank. I would have converted paint cans on the top of the tank as well. I haven`t done it yet though.

that would be cool it would give your army an illusion of speed and elitness. imitation is the best thing a guard player can do before blowing the enemy up

I was thinking about it showing the desperateness of the Imperial Guard. Kind of like, the front line in the desert had collapsed and the unit has been rushed in to plug the gap. But your idea is also good (and makes the guard sound better)
Congratulations on your promotion

do u mean kaskin??/ and the big mac idea would be cool, just like the guy that did a pepsi bomb mortar. its alright to do silly conversions like that it adds some humour to the game
and 9th company that would of been a cool idea, maybe you could of had jerry cans with paint splashes on it to show that they needed so much paint they had to use jerry cans aswell.

I'd considered doing the Games Workshop Regiment. Fat Bloke and Andy Chambers for HQ options. Redshirts for troops (with Blackshirt squadleaders), Mail Order Trollz...

Thats why I never spend too much time worrying about hoe neat my tanks look. I figured it would be up to the tank crews to paint them up themselves, so it would be done quite rushed/halfhearted. And to the original poster, if you want to go for something really silly like a big mac you could even incorporate it into the rules. Give an officer the trademark item wargear and there you have it. I`m not sure what army you collect but there was an old school cadian lieutenant that would be ideal for the big mac pose. He`s holding a shotgun with one arm and has th other arm bent in a hook shape. It would look as though he`s about to take a big bite out of the burger (his mouth is also wide open).

Omg! I know! My local GW had a tank converting competition right, anyways, you go in and buy any vehicle and use bits from their bits box to make a really unique vehicle and the winner gets a 40K battalion box of their choice. Anyways. I didnt have too much cash on me at the moment, so I picked up a sentinel! By the end I had 6 heavy bolters, 8 twin linked storm bolters, 2 lascannons, 7 hunter killer missiles, 1 twin links heavy bolter, 2 autocannons, multilaser, chainsaw, heavy flamer, 4 flamers, 6 missile launchers. And just to top it off, a dead eldar in front of it. It also had a screaming deaf guy inside.

Hey 9th company so what schemce do you do use then? My army is painted in a desert scheme at the moment. Its Humbrol 93 (desert yellow) and graveyard earth mixed with skull white, bleached bone and chaos black until I was happy with the colour.
