I have been playing the IG army list for a while now (ok well a couple months) but with the intent of also playing off the Lost and the Damned army list being mostly trator guard base. Out of curriosity has anyone heard anything about a new chaos codex coming out that includes the LatD army list revised. A friend of mine could not tell me much more and I cannot find it myself so I was wondering if you all could help. After all it would not be GW if I did not have to change my whole freaking army ever two years At least I can always fall back on just and IG army list with leanings towards naughtyness and colors if I dont like what will be coming out. SIDE NOTE... Ogryin... thoughts anyone.... scratch that... I will just start a new thread for that one.

sept for the chaos codex last I heard (though that's rumor). dunno if it'll have rules for lost and the damned in it or not however.
I love how IG is so vast and has alot of diversity - it can look a hundred different ways and be either loyalist or traitor with no problem because so many regiments have cowed to some chaos warlord hehe.
ogryns make great counterassaulters as long as they don't take s6+ hits (in shooting or melee)

If you want a Chaos themed army, why don't you try a Blood Pact army, it could be fun and quite unusual. As they do use tactics and organistions similar to IG, it would be great....Maybe one myself....when I get time, I would try...

Bloodpact is what first attracted me to the naughty side of IG. Paying out the same points as Chaos Marine for only a one up to BS and Init is a bit steep. I mean its great I can give demo charges, vet skills, and second special weapon to the squad but the points just seem to high. A chaos marine squad only lacks the demo charge option for the same points and has better stats AND armor to boot so the big evil of men seems sadly lacking.
All in all I will play lost and the damned eventually and may include some BP squads (in small numbers) just for the demo charges but I really dont feel they are worth it when in the same army I am allowed chaos marines for the same points.

Heya, With a Traitor Guard, there are 3 ways you can do them: - Use Codex Imperial Guard i.e. Doctrines.
- Use the LatD list, but take Traitor only units.
- Use the Renegade Militia rules in Imperial Armour 5.
I have a copy of IA5, and I've done a short review about the Renegade Militia list. If you want any further information, please follow this: Link.Thanks.

Sure that BP squads are very expensive for what they are! But I do ont understand why they start at such a price plus options that are expensive as well... For someone who wants to have a based bood pact army, is is quite good!
