I also graffieted up a tank and crucified a Sargent with his legs ripped off and his entrails hanginging upon a Leman Russ dozer blade with barbed wire, but I stopped cause I'm turning loyalist guard because GW ruined daemons which were half the fun.

Those are easily some of the best conversions I have ever seen. And I agree with commisar GET THE RUSS UP POST-HASTE! Cause who dosnt love traitor tanks?

The Russ was never finished, I mean I never finished fully traitorizing it, but I'll post it up as it is when i can photo it. its just a Russ with a bit of writing on it and half a zombie tied to the front, I didn't go as far as rust, slime and heretical banners cause I decided to turn loyalist half way through customising it.

Yeah trooper249 its the zombie and Cadian boxes - with a bit of effort you can get 30+ mutants out of the 2 combined, some of the zoms are wearing incompatable clothes though so I didn't use them.

I tried ork and tyranid bits aswell, but they just don't fit cadians - nor do they fit in with my Nurgle The First Cursed of Cadia theme inspired by the story in the front of the old chaos codex and by the early Horus Heresy novels.

Here's the tank, such as it is . Like i said I stopped converting so I could use it as loyalist. Also a Basilisk I used to have for my Iron Warriors army, before I sold it because GW ruined Chaos. Turned All Chaos space marines into Black legion and turned the Black Legion into Space Marines with optional specialists from the 4 main gods. I'll stop before this turns into a proper rant.

Commisar recomended using inks, I disagree. Try using thick washes of Catachan green mixed with Graveyard earth. It gives models a really grimy and dirty look. Then wash it with some Chaos black. I've done it on all my tanks and it does look good.

Yeah I need to do something about the basilisk, I just undercoated it black and sprayed it with pewter (non-GW) which as long as you keep it thin, is exactly the same as bolt gun metal. I didn't keep it thin enough on the basilisk. I filed all the aquillas off as well because it was for Iron Warriors who could use basilisks in the old CSM codex.





I didn't paint the Landraider but I did own it.

Now a Zombified Commissar would look nice (or disgusting depending on your point of view )
Though Zombies are/should be fearless so the commie would probably shoot the enemy when they tried to retreat so priests/Psykers could raise them as Zombies ;D

Zombie commissar = Zombissar! an excellent idea. I love the idea of a tainted Priest misleading the troops too.

Also the rogue psykers in the Witch Hunters codex are amaaaazing.

A guy on the GW phone told me LatD were sort of fading into obscurity, certainly the new CSM codex doesn't marry with it well and I don't want to invest lots of time and money into an army which will be disallowed so I'm gonna get my loyalists finished off first before I do any more on the 'First Cursed'.

Yeah the Land raider was cool, it was the actual model photographed in the old CSM codex. I bought it for a complete steal, used it a bit, then sold it for twice the price ;D when, as I may have mentioned before, GW ruined CSM.
