With the new demon codex almost or already here. Now would be a good time to dust off your old army. Bring out your huddled masses, your unwashed hordes yearning to be corrupted and free of the false emperor's tightening grasp.
Even though the list is not not tournament applicable ( Can anyone confirm this). Now is the time for unspeakablely mutated models to once again see the light of day.
In short...
Glory to the Chaos Gods

Hundreds of Deamonettes will be summoned to aid the Angel's of Bliss and their traitor allies, led by a corrupted Priest of the Redemption and his followers...
I just love the new plastic deamons

I head a rumor that there is a chaos mortal army in the works. The list from the forge world book looks pretty cool though, despite it borrowing heavily form the imperial guard codex.

With the lost and the damned ive been putting an army together.
for HQ im at alost for what to do though, Im using a CSM option of fabius Bile, since making mutants is right up his ally, but im at alost for what to do for the normal HQ also since you dont need to use a slot for the greater deamon would that apply to the LATD list too? if so sweet.
for troops I used: 2 groups of ten CSM with Rhinos 2 groups of traitors 2 groups of Mutants (1 with guns, only cuz i love the models i made for them)
Elite: Big Mutants group of Deamons (if I cant take them as a free option) Possessed Marines
FA 2 Choas Hounds packs HellHound
HW 2 defilers 1 earth shaker
I have no idea how this will play out, so any ideas would be nice thanks

Mine consists of a russ, a demolisher, a defiler, and six traitors backed by a chaos champion.

The best thing in LaTD is a huge squad of Nurgle mutants lead by a CSM packing a Power Fist. as he isn't an independant character, he just keeps dealing out the pain backed up by 20+ mutants with 2A, 4+Sv.
The biggest prob I find is panicking Traitors, 10 in a squad is not a lot with crap Ld.

Are you guys talking about the old Eye of Terror book? Or is this some Forgeworld list?
If you wanted to make a traitor army that's tournament legal, you could take demons as penal legionnaires (and it would finally make sense that they could have rending), with a squad of Chaos Marines (Alpha Legion?) using Deathwatch kill team rules. That would work pretty well if you were going for a Tzeenchian theme, since you'd have a Librarian/Sorcerer, and it would also explain the variable nature of the demons.
Hell, you could even dip into the Witch Hunter or Daemonhunter lists for allies. Arco-flagellants and Seraphim are now crazy mutant conversions, and you could even throw in some Chaos Terminators as Grey Knights (although it would quickly get silly if you ran across another Chaos army).

yeah but Deathwatch kill teams take up a HQ choice so thats not really a viable option

That post was about the Eye of Terror campaign with the lost and the Damned codex that was included.
Kind of a moot point now I hear.

There are rules about useing CSM allies with LatD in the Eye of Terror codex.
You cant take CSM heavy support options (because you can never take ally Heavy choises) and CSM count as elite choices (if they have a mark?)
If you guys aren't using the Eye of Terror, what are you using?

Good to see your still around Padpaw. Lost and the Damned was a great list, simply because I could use a defiler with a russ.

OK...at the expense of necro-posting: Does anyone have any new info for using LatD armies? Anything new on the horizon?
