Gun Ship

i've been workin on a large gun ship for a while, and i would like some feed back. i made the skeleton out of pvc, foam, and some other various material. for the skin, i have been using plaster. i started it at the end of summer last year, but i have not been able to work on it too much because of the shaving plaster off thing and being indoors. this is what i got so far,








any feedback would be good. i was thinkin of puting a earthshaker on it, but after thinkin bout it for a while, i am tinkin of usin several gattling autocannons.

I'd go with the earthshaker if I were you. Nothing says 'evil' more than long-range artillery fire from the skies.

It sort of reminds me of the AC-130 gun ship.

What you can do is search and look at some pics of that and see if that is more of what you are thinking.

If so, then a Autocannon in the nose, and one of the rear, as well as one on the side would be probably your best bets.

You might also be able to couple this with a Lascannon or two.

Just a thought. Nice work so far. As far as material, instead of plaster take a look at micheal's for a product called "Paper Clay" it is far easier to work with and a lot easier to sand and lighter weight.

i originaly based it off a ac-130, but this is my "prototype." i got one planed about 3 times as large
my bro plays orcs, and i need something to...trim his heges with.

I like it. Looking at the size of your wings you might think about a larger body. If you look a the A/C-130 it is kind of stubby in every way. Pay close attention to the way the weapons are arranged on the left side of the fuselage. Mini-guns over the wheel wells, 105mm Cannon out the troop door, and the 40mm infront of the wheel wells. You can pack alot of ordinance into a small package if you arrange it correctly.

You are off you a great start. I can't wait to see it finished.

i thought about a larger body, but i tink with a earthshaker on it and all the amo for it, the larger wings would help with the lift thing... but the large wings were kind of unexpected on my end . but its too late to go back... maybe the next one.

OMG!
You're my hero for making something like this for an IG army. It's perfect for some Guardsmen! I can picture it being able to provide plenty of firepower for your ground forces. It'd be even better if you were having it support a drop troop army!
