This reminds me of a picture I saw some years ago. During the Vietnam war an F4 Phantom accidentally launched a missile on a carrier deck. The ensuing fire destroyed almost all the aircraft on the deck. You’d have thought that they stop putting the fire button next to the start button. |

The plane would still be a secret if not for that one pilot allowing himself to get shot down in a plane that flies higher and faster than anything the Russian's had. |

Some of the details may be incorrect but his nationality is right.
