Thanks for the comments! I spent a lot of time on these guys and oddly enough rarely get the time to field them. Sometimes I wonder if I'm in this hobby just to paint and assemble rather than purge the unclean from the Emperor's sight. wow you paid the 20 dollar conversion kit for 5 men set form FW eh? and WOW on the paint job Thanks, and yes on the ForgeWorld bits. I grabbed the upgrades and Vets with Shotguns pack when I was at Games Day in Atlanta last year. I love Forge World and I've got as much FW as I can get in both my Guard and Marine armies. I still am saving to add some good looking FW armor (Vanquisher mainly). |

you dont have to pay for the FW vanquisher, its insanely easy to convert, i can post a guide up here if you want

Mine came out pretty decently. I was just fond of the look of the Forge World variant. It's not something I'm going to buy more than likely, just due to lack of funds in general, but one can always look at the pictures and salivate. Heck, if I had my way I'd have a Titan or two and a FW Baneblade. I always will rue the day I turned down buying a second hand FW Baneblade for $100. You should still post a guide though for general info. |

Nothing beats resin for the detail. Thanks for the welcome. I have been looking for a decent Guard board for a while and this place seems nice. I posted on and off over at the B&C for my Marine army, but they don't take too kindly to all things Green and Tan over there. |

I'm not quite sure where the Avatar came from, something I ran across on the net. I'm a history teacher and WW2 nut so I picked it up. Yeah, he's a Forge World model, pretty much as is off the resin sprue. I did all my Vets from Forge World bits to make them stand out from my rank and file troop choices. Most of my Sergeants are FW conversions as well. |

Anyway, yeah, welcome to the board. There's a real mix of people here, seasoned veterans and people just setting out alike, they are all god guys, 'cept zumbaz, newcomer, Rolling Thunder and Commissar. They're all quite mad.

That tends to be the last thing I do and sometimes I get a bit lazy about it. A good friend of mine solved that by being just the opposite and basing everything first. He had a really good format and the method he used was nice looking (guy ought to know what he's doing, he won three Golden Demons) but I already had half my army based one way when I saw his method and I didn't want to change the other half. |

Three Golden Demons?!! WOW!!! Yeah, two silvers and a bronze. He'd have pulled a Gold but he had a year long detour in Iraq and hasn't been painting much since he came home. He made a few models for me, including an Imperial Guard Mister T. I love it as I would love a child. |

Nice friends you hang out with Tell me about it. I learned a lot from him, not enough sadly. There's just a level of raw talent that I can't pull off.  Those are just a couple of his minis. Ridiculous. Anyway, I'm going to try to post some Army pics. I will have to find a surface to put my Cadians on that's big enough to take a picture and still have them all well represented. I've got a LOT of points. I still have a lot that's not painted, but I won't include that. |
