well since the rumors for greatcoat guardsmen may be false, i decided to experiment on making some of my own, NOTE this guy is the first in a series of experiments, so its bound to be flawed questions comments? have at it

im not suprised, i only had pics of steel legion, not actual models. until then i cant really get a good look unless i wear my greatcoat and photograph myself

Kinky My thoughts exactly. However I think you should make them a tad longer, that'll make em look more like the valhallans/red army guys. Still nice work though.

yeah maybe a little longer, I'm also not so sure about the spit in the back, but all said its a good try, better then anything I've managed to do with greenstuff.

check out pics of fabius bile, the chaos 40k 'hero' he has a great coat with big flowing backs to it, granted its made of human skin, but still you can see the shapes they use.
alot more green stuff would be a good idea, but keep trying!

Something you might want to try instead of all the green stuff is real fabric. Saturate it with CA glue and form to shape. Once the glue dries you have the shape and then can add green stuff to make details.
Old hobbiest trick, but I think it will save you a lot of the headaches you are having now.
