How do you make a chainsword?

Just wondering how to make a chainsword for my basaliskian sergents uniform.

Any thourghts?

A baseball bat grip would be great for the handle, then perhaps a long box (plasticard?) so you could make little pyramids for the teeth

if your strong enough, and you can make it strong enough at the handle, then I would suggest carving it out of wood. As that way you can swing it around, with smaller chance of it breaking than with Plasticard (when you hit something) but you would have to be careful that the space between the handle and the actual chainsword part is thick enough that it wont just snap under its own weight.

This one I found sometime ago in the net (I don´t know who build it), I think its made by latex.....

This one is made completly of foam..only for cosplay..



I heard sometime ago, an freak in germany build an chainsword with function, using parts of an real chainsaw (the chain) but with an engine of an model airplane. But using onliy for demonstration.. but have currently nothing seen from this part.
