Hi there guys. I'd like to start up a new army that will give me a break from painting green and Desert Yellow. So I chose Khrone!!!
HQ
Chaos Lord - Mark of Khorne, power weapon, CC weapon, Damonic Fire, Rage of Khorne, Furious Charge
121pts
Troops
8 x Khrone Berserkers - Mark of Khorne, Khornate axes x 8, bolt pistols x 8, Rhino, combi bolter, extra armour
215pts
8 x Khrone Berserkers - Mark of Khorne, Khornate axes x 8, bolt pistols x 8
160pts
All this turns out to be 496 points.
What do you reckon?
-Edit
I'm not sure if the Chaos Lord is a little points heavy. I'd like to point out, however, that he can have up to 13 Strength 5 attacks on the assault!

This looks much like a list after the old Codex which isn't legal anymore (and you wouldn't want to play after that cheesy thing anyways)
There are no more deamonic gifts, veteran abilities, and no more Khornate Chain Axes (which doesn't mean Berserks aren't deadly anymore)
You strength can only go up to a value of 10, not 11, not 12, not 13, and not any higher than 13. It will be cut at 10

I forgot to mention this is made from the 4ed codex for, designed for friendly games. My girlfriend bought the codex for her own army shortly after 5th was released. Our friendly local store cheated us.
And I think you misunderstood; I meant the Chaos Lord has 13* attacks at Strength 5.
*Up to, with a fortunate roll.

Well yes they did then. You should have complained.
Not sure how good that army would work since I haven't looked in my 4th Ed. Codex for quite some time

They'd be fun to shoot the crap out of as they come screaming like a bunch of retards with their finger caught in a mousetrap across the board.

Too true, and at 500 points options are limited.

I used to have an army that was almost exactly like this, but it was 1500 points. The only difference was a squad of 8 chosen that ran for 700 and a dreadnought. Shooting is going to be a problem for you, in bigger games I *highly* recommend mechanizing your forces. If you're running the old book you can't go wrong with chosen either. They can get to be about 100 points each, and worth most of them. ;D Your lord is ok for this size, but in bigger games make sure to give him an Axe of Khorne. The ability to make another attack when you get a 6 to hit is amazing. Give it to chosen too for more brokenness. Bloodletters are an awesome buy, even if you move to the new book. They remained effective even with the serious downgrade summoned daemons got. Hope I helped, I played with that book for a long time! I always think that its better until I actually sit down and compare the books. I wouldn't go back to the old book, unless I got to use my chosen again.
