hm, 4 wheels, some plasticard, and imagination! thems all the ingridants you need friend.
oh it also may help if you have a chimera.
if you'd like more help perhaps a picture of what you had in mind would give the rest of us something to work with
a few others around here have made some chimera conversions, if your lucky maybe one of them will pop on this thread and give you a few more ideas.

hm, I did some conversions by my own and the results where... lets say some kind of... bulky... Try out 1:35 or 1:32 plastik models from revel or other providers. Cut them together to whatever you like. I made my own tanks. Check out my Hellhound (it is a tank, but you get the idea ): www.deinearmee.de/praesentation/1205969200/Hellhound.jpgThe chassis is shortened by 1 inch (note the green line), the tower is made with plastik carton and bits from the Leman Russ and the gun is build by my own. The only thing is, that I didnt like the cubik measurements of the GW Tanks, so mine are 6 inch long and as broad as GW.

it's part of Owen Rees' Imperial Guard - The 374th Tahnelian Airborne (works at white dwarf), seeing his conversions was pretty much the reason i started a guard army

Yeah. His army is amazing. I remember the time when he played against an ork army that had massive tonka toy like tires on it. Probably the best looking battle report i have ever seen.

the wheels are off a 1/32 scale model IIRC a WW2 armored scout car by monogram. I've used these for a conversion from a old armored car citadel journal project using the leman russ chassis.I'll see if i can find that issue.
