The new Carnifexes can come in broods of 3, but this actually makes them easier to kill if you lob templates at them, as you'd be dealing more hits than if you threw a template at only one.

With a Creed Tyrant, squads of carnifexes can now outflank. That's just obscene. I'd like some thoughts on dealing with that.

Well, the new fexes aren't anywhere near as bad as they used to be.
Just need some ML's or other high strength/low AP weapons and they can't do anything.

Unfortunately not; the ability only allows a unit of troops to outflank, so until that happy day when Carnifex become troop choices they're stuck foot slogging it. Or smashing down in a mycetic spore I guess. But yeah 'fexes are not as good as they used to be. Which is a shame because it's a lovely model. In a gribbly way...

I later realized this. I had been lied to... I haven't yet decided if I'm going to start a small 'nid force, so I don't have the codex myself.
