So the fluff is that he is a super-dedicated body guard. Are they going to keep him as such? or do you think he will work as an upgrade SC replacing the bonehead. also What do you guys think his speacial rules will be?

Just on his Stats alone, assuming that I am reading them right, i already like him more. He can fight like a marines, shoots like a guardsman. He is strong and tough with loads of attacks. i would LOVE to see a new model for him, but it looks like we get to make our own using an Ogryn. But i do agree with 21, I can't see them changing him.

I know what you mean, but I hope I can take him in the ogryn squad. On the off chance that they lose combat. they will need whatever moral booster they can get.
What would really be nice is if by taking him you could count ogryns as troops!! Not many will be able to take that objetive from them!

That is A LOT of wishful thinking... i would love to get an Ogryn Platoon, show those Nobz whos boss... but I think that he will probably just be a bodyguard for you Command Platoon.

I don't know if that really is to much to ask, the current catachin codex allows for ogryns to be taken as troops.... given the new space marine codex I wouldn't be suprised if having nork in an army would allow it.

Nork is really...cute! ;D I like the story that they wrote about him, saluting with his left hand, then his right, and finishing off with both hands BTW: ogryns have been used as troops before. In a white dwarf issue, there were additional doctrines that allowed you to take ogryn squads as troops, but they didn't have a gun, access to a bone 'ead, and could not be placed in a transport, but they got +1 attack. You didn't even need guardsmen (except your command squad) in that list! ;D

He is a Bodyguard for you commander. Sorry, no Ogryn as troops.

At least they could put him in a squad and get rid of that annoying rule, where they won't go in a Chimera. Such a pointless rule.

That rule might not even be in there anymore. You have to remember, Solar, not all has been revealed to us...

Why should Nork remove the "ti's dark in here" special rule from the Ogryns? This is a racial feature that they dislike enclosed and dark places like Chimeras. Nork is a bodyguard but no Bone'ead or new Ogryn race...
And yes, actually he should kill the commissar when that one tries to harm Nork's officer. But actually this would only make sense when commissars would be mandatory...

Interesting thought there, it sounds to me that in the rumors he will be a bonehead upgrade, and given the ammount of trrop choices we already have Ogryn troops are looking very doubtful

Until I can outfit a Bone'ead with a powerfist and a squad with a heavy weapon (probably restrict it to a heavy stubber or heavy bolter), I will not be excited for Ogryns as Troops.

the ripper gun is a heavy bolter with less ap and less range. I hear you about the power fist though, heck id be happy with any power weapon.

The heavy bolter shoots 36" and has the same strength. The ripper shoots as far as a pistol and only has the AP of a lasgun. Very different, because everything gets their save against it. Oh well, when using a unit of 10, that's like 30 shots not to mention the close combat attacks you get

See, I think that a weapon like the powerfist really only looks good on a huge mini like a terminator or an ogryn. It just looks stupid on Guard and most SMurfs (LOOKITMEE! I HAVE A GIANT METAL FIST!). Besides, if I take a weapon that makes me strike last in CC, I want to be able to IK with it. Really the only time I ever play with a powerfist is if I'm fighting Eldar, since I'm going last anyways (and I can IK every time ).

last night on warseer it showed that nork had the same speacial ability as kell... can't remember what it was called and the site is blocked from work so i can't post it.... but it conformed to me that nork will be a body guard. they also now have estimated costs for some of the SC on there.

You've got to have a really convincing "Nooooooooooooooooo" to go along with your failed dive though - that's what gets you your next job.
