if i buy 50 gaurdsman the normal way it will cost 110$ but if i buy 5 man box sets it will cost 80$
thats 30$ cheper
if you plan on fealding 100 150 men like i do there isent time to examen them closley im just going to go on ebay and by enough chane sords and laspistols to make 10 shargents from a 10 man pack and the rest will be 5 man box sets
and i alredy have missel launchers to upgrade the 10 man squads
or by one 22$ pack and 2 8$ packs use the customisebel ones for hevy and spechal wepons and sargents and voxes and the snap fit to bolster the normal squads from 2 5 man squads too 2 10 man squads should come out to around 38$ thats 3$ more but its beter than 9$ for 2 10 man squads
and yet another exampel of smurfs geting evrey thing they get hevy wepons and meltas and plasma in there box

just rememeber that the 5 man snap fit guys have great big holes in their chest where the peg to hold their lasgun in place goes.
so I suggest buying two 5 man sets for every full ten man squad you get as the ten man box comes with all the options you need to make two fully equiped squads(chainswords, voxcasters, flamers, and what not)
and there it is $38ish for a 20 guardsmen

Well, each SQUAD is 50 points + upgrades now for the platoons and you still need 2 per platoon for the troop choice, and two troop choices for FOC. plus the 30 point + upgrades for the platoon Command Squad. 260 points vanilla not including the 50 point + upgrades HQ. 310 points vanilla for our minimum troop requirement! its only 55 troops! so selling them in squads of 10 might be better.
(I got a PDF off /tg/ for the new codex)

Thankfully I've been buying up those 20 and 40 man boxed sets on ebay. sure I just dropped around 60 bucks the other day for a 40 man set. That puts me over 170 infantry models. The only thing I need now is a few HQ's and a bunch of Commissar's. I made sure I wasn't going to have to buy anymore plastic infantry. If I do I'm screwed.....I will just have to go out and buy the new Battleforce.

"Forward Green plastic army men!"
Independent stockists are the way ahead here, guys. So long as they give a discount then the 10-man set is going to be under a tenner - which can't be Bad. Mind, I'm worried about the heavy weapons team box set - their still bouncing under £20 - which can't be right for Three models (they've become a 2 wound model - beware of S6 weapons!)

the metal volstrans, talarans, mordians, vanhalens and tanith arnt so mutch of a stretch any more.
i have 1 squad of tanith and they look great as vets you just have to make the camo look good
and dont be lazy and paint them all one coler 3 part camo at least
i use dark angels grean, desert yellow and scorched brown. and a solid cachos black for the lasguns it gives them the spechal ops look
mine are riley neat because i mixed each flesh tone by hand.

I can't, either. I just know how to read and pronounce it (mostly).
Outside of English, I am most proficient in Japanese (although I still have a long way to go...).

I can write and speak French (useless language don't bother), I can speak Italian, and I can write in Tau (does that count?). I've also been told my English isn't half bad.

Languages are fun. I wish I had the discipline and motivation to make myself study more of them, and get better at the ones I've got some facility with. In addition to the obvious benefits, thinking in another language often leads to looking at things from a different point of view, as the different grammar and word choice emphasize different elements of a situation.
I'm more or less competent (not fluent, but I got by when I was living there) in German, can understand basic Spanish if the speaker will slow down a bit and speak a little of it, and have scraps of Japanese left over from High School.
