Okay so I want to buy the Cadian battle force when it comes out, I am left wondering though, this is all the information I have:
The Cadian Imperial Guard Battle force provides a great selection of models and is an ideal way to start an Imperial Guard army or to bolster an existing one.
The The Cadian Imperial Guard Battle force contains 29 multi-part plastic miniatures, including:
1 Cadian Command Squad 20 Cadian Shock Troops 3 Cadian Heavy Weapon Teams 1 Sentinel
The 1 Cadian command squad is that basically the boxed set, like the command squad you get, does that have ALL the options the normal command squad boxed set on it's own have? Like power fist, medics, banners etc. Is it cut down and I can't use all the extra bits or what?

If it's anything at all like the older battleforces, it will essentially be the same contents as each kit sold separately, just without all those boxes. So the Command Squad will be exactly the same regardless of the box used, the troopers will be the same, the heavy weapons will be the same and the sentinel will likewise be the same, but since you're buying them all at once in a boxed set you get a discount overall.

And if you buy it from an online store that does 10-20% discount, that discount is even bigger! EDIT: and the cadian one is better because the catachan one makes the command squad guardsmen look like right weeds next to the old big-arms-catachans.

Just had a look: WOW! a battleforce (albeit the old one) for £37!!! And the 20 man box of cadians for £13.50!!!
Wait, buying the battleforce from there is like buying all of the individual boxes for half price! WOW, and a 10 man cadian squad for £9.00. Thanks for showing me!

I hate the fact that Warhammer is so overpriced in Canada, no matter how good our dollar is, even when it's higher than the American one they still have everything cheaper, in a lot of cases by like 5-10 dollars per boxed set...

yeah that sounds like a real bummer, BUT if you started your own Independant internet retailer based in canada you could get your GW stuff at a real discount whilst making a quick buck by selling it as well. (I have a mate who does this and I buy off him)

actually about 44 dollars. leman russ is 55, and the super heavies are 150. Pewter boxes run around 57-77.
With the price hike, the pewter is really starting to look good.

yeah, I'm starting to think of Valhallans as a cool option, because I've always wanted an army of them anyway. Also, @hasagwan: You haven't poste in AGES!!! It's funny that you turn up right when I post about Japan

It has been ages hasn't it. I've been so caught up in reading rumors everywhere I can find them, I've completely forgotten to post. Need to post an update to my army as well.
I was looking at the pewter choices and I noticed that the Valhallans and Steel Legion don't have the full choices of heavy weapons. Has this always been the case or are the molds just getting old? Anyone know?

Steel Legion never had Autocannon or Mortars available as far as I know. I'm pretty sure that Valhallans had all of them at some point, but not 100% on that.

At least it's easy to calculate sales tax in your head. Up here in the twin cities it's something like 7.5%. I never had a head for numbers, so it often throws me off.

I think the old battle force was better. The leman russ, 20 guys, 3 heavy weapons and a building. They should of kept it and just added a command squad and raise the price buy ten percent
