Agh! Double negative! cannot compute! • Soaps head explodes Really? I thought it made perfect sense. There is a distinction to be made between always having a certain condition met, and never not having that condition met. "Always" carries with it the expectation that the condition will continue to happen in the future, while "never not" says exactly what it means; that the situation where the condition is false has not happened yet. Of course, up here in Minnesota there's no reason to believe that there's not a distinction to be made between a positive and a double negative. It's just the way things are.

Double negatives used to convey a positive are legit, and sometimes actually necessary. The problem with double negatives is when people use them to try to add extra emphasis to a negative statement: :"I ain't never smoked weed!", for instance, means that the speaker has, in fact, smoked weed, even tho it would probably be said to indicate the opposite.

I am loving how many members are from the north-east of England! I am also from a village just about 10 minutes from Chester but studying at University in Leeds! Any of you customers of the good old Chester Games-Workshop?

Me with the local Irish dance troupe a couple months back. Apologies for quality, was taken with one of the ladies' phones. And a shot of me last St. Paddy's Day, after my jackass friend (the scruffy fellow with the guitar) made me get up and sing. He's from Dublin, and I was his roadie/merch guy/bus driver/drunk wrangler for his 2012 St. Patrick's Day tour in Seattle. I have all the stage presence of a dead tree.

I don't wear anything else, unless an employer tells me otherwise. Rain, snow, or shine, the kilt is mine.

I tend to avoid thistle fields. As well as copses of nettles, briar patches, and concertina wire.
