I didn't say I actually LIKED all those bands, haha! Or well I did at the time I saw them, but not necessarily now. Hammerfall are okay though, if you ignore their more silly songs. Like Hearts On Fire. It's not a band I'd listen to on cd, but they're a good live band.
Actually I listen to like 50% industrial, EBM and synth nowadays so I'm probably disclosed from the contest.

im a bit of an emo/scene boy. not quite the same thing. but if your into gothy music, theres a really good band from Seattle, WA.
Schoolyard Heroes. check them out, i enjoyed them. the live show was brutal though, and not in a good way.
about half the crowd were girls (mm), and i found out the hard way that girls mosh dirty. i got kicked in the nads about 4 times. and then punched in the face by some idiot boyfriend who thought i was groping his GF. so... FAIL. but they're good lol.
ps couldnt walk straight for days.

A few years ago I was really goth. ;D Still enjoy the occasional Sisters of Mercy, but nothing else. Except maybe Diary of Dreams, but they're more darkwave or synthgoth.
But now for some music that doesn't make you want to kill yourself, and whose fans aren't Slaanesh worshippers:
Rage - Enough Is Enough

Makarova you never cease to surprise! Rage is good. I'm actually slowing it down and listening to Journey-Wheel In The Sky. What can I say, I like it

Makarova (M.I.A): Alright, I'm officially jealous. Dimmu Borgir AND Nightwish? That's awesome! Guess what? I saw Nightwish with Tarja too, all three times. Personally I like their new singer Anette better, even if I don't actively listen to the band anymore. Wintersun - Death And The Healing If I was to name the best 10 songs in the world, this would be one of them.

I have discovered the most awesome song in the universe.
Tom Waits: Hold On.
Listen to it, or I will delete your profile.

Makorova oh you where one of those deppresed goths! Not my thing at all. Im a perky goth get like really annoyingly cheery and happy and general giddyness with an evil grin instead of going all roberto smithy. I like Rage's carved in stone its cool to the emo/scene person cool mate everyone dances to the beat of their own drum! my all time fav goth band is Londen After Midnight funnily enough from America (But we run into the whole 'WERE NOT GOTH OMG!' thing which is annoyingly stupid) Never heard of the band myself all the goth gigs I've been too havent really had moshing (Cept at the punkier gigs) and Ive seen the girls fight dirty *cough Mega-dave* But Im afraid girls just arent my thing if you catch the drift. Although me I love a bit of everything Lilly Allen, Eminem, The Clash, John Lee Hooker *famous blues man for those who dont know* and even King Crimson O:

EPIC. nuff said. they had quite a following till they turned sonic youth on everyone lol. and i enjoy the mosh. it tends to get really intense. wall of death? YES. i use moshing as a sign of respect to bands i like. if i like them, i have to move to them. FREaK OUT. xD funnn funnn funnn. if any of you come out to seattle we must go to a show.

Decapitated - the entire Organic Hallucinosis album
next up
Naglfar
after that
Meshuggah
By the way: Slipknot is not metal. They suck, their old stuff is sooo much more superior to anything they have put out in 8 years.

By the way: Slipknot is not metal. They suck, their old stuff is sooo much more superior to anything they have put out in 8 years. I'll try to end this before it starts. Knock it off. You may not like the band, but they're obviously not nu/neo-metal, and doesn't have rap influences except for a few songs in their first album. Not saying you called them nu-metal, but a lot of people tend to do. Everyone can just agree on the fact that Slipknot plays aggressive rock or metal. Let's leave it at that.
