Well my Rhino's normally get Deamonic Machine and Inferno Rockets so that I have something to fire with while advancing or after I unloaded my 10 CSM with 2 plasmas and a bolter plasma combi on the champion... Makes them effectively something around 65 points or so, but perhaps I'll downgrade them a bit...

Listen, from what I've read so far, (I'll be honest, I haven't read that many because I am a Lazy fornicate) most peoples' problem with the Chimera is the fact that they are quite expensive. If you are worried about them not making their points back, here's a little trick that could ensure they do.
Stick a Hunter-killer to the back of one. Most of the people you will play against will be ignorant enough to ignore these Chimerae and disreagard them as nothing more than simple Infantry-harassing Transports. Then, you just need to wait. Eventually the enemy is likely of making a mistake. They may expose a Predator's side armour or move into range with an expensive HQ unit. Then, simply fire your missile and hope that you get lucky. Even if it doesn't kil your target, the Hunter-killer missile only costs I think 10 pts and so it's hardly an enourmous points sink.
I personaly don't udersatnd what people don't like about the Chimera. It can peform many tasks compitently for a price that isn't that Ludicrous.
And TB, I can assure you. A Chimera is going to cause a fornicate load more damage than an infantry squad is.

I don't dislike the chimera, I just dislike my luck rolling dice when shooting with vehicles specifically it sucks..my chimerae typically hit with about 2 or 3 out of 9 shots. this has proven to be an ongoing trend that totally defies the rule of averages and all that *shakes fist* it is for this reason that I lean heavily on my "noobcannon" crutch (the hellhound)

Go Mech or go home, thats my take with the Chimera. My most aggressive list is my mechanised list and it does take some finesse in how to use your chimers, specifically move and firm. That being said, when I see chaos rhinos across from my lines and they are coming in obliquely instead of a staright on charge..that sight is worth the cost of admission right there

Hmm...I love the chimera... It is such a good tank, very versatile, but it is too expensive for what you get...

a good point to make is hideing you inf behind your chimera, when u peek round to shoot u get a 5+ cover save. camo makes this a moveing 4+ cover save, with guns, whats not to like

The thing to remember with Chimeras is that they don't have to be deployed with the squad you are carrying. That being said if you are taking Chimeras you need more than one which is why I go mechanised.
Deploy your 4 or 5 Chimeras together on a flank so that they block each others side armour and then funnel your enemy into the killing zone.

I beg to differ, in the Codex they are described as an APC. But based on todays technology it would be an IFV, but hey, its the 41st millenium and its loaded with chunky peanut buttery bits.
