So? You still bought a Wraithlord. Oh sure, you complained about the price, but GW still made money from your purchase.
The risk with lowering prices is that more people have to buy more in order to offset the lower profits. GW probably doesn't want to take that chance, even people like you are still complaining, yet for some strange reason, still buying the models....
EDIT: I hate it when I post, but then, like 5 different posts are before mine.

Of course I bought it. Because it is my sweet sweet candy, silly! But it doesn't make it right or logical! But I will tell you- for the first time, I feel the...twinge. The flicker along my skin when I stand in front of this ever more expensive model line- the color-guard of red flags that urges me to look past the model's name and at the price tag. If GW's trends continue I know with certainty that it is only a matter of time before I take my buisness elsewhere. And I am not the only one that feels this way.
I CHOOSE to play Warhammer 40k because I enjoy the game. I also enjoy a good bottle of Chteau Margaux, but it is too expensive for me to enjoy often. So I choose to spend my money elsewhere. The same will happen to my investment in GW if they don't get their act together.

I got that twinge when I had enough cash to buy a Baneblade.
And when I almost bought a Land Raider Crusader, just because it was cool.
And when I was going to order a Valk, or the new Hellhound.
Sometimes, no matter how hard I try, I can't justify sinking that much cash into a single model.

And...exactly why are you complaining? You're right, you can always take your money elsewhere, yet for some strange reason, you are complaining about GW raising it's prices so high when you could always buy something else......

I am complaining because I enjoy the game, the universe and the fluff surronding 40k and so it matters to me. I am complaining because I am being pushed to a financial point where I have to make the decision to stop playing that game I like due to a ridiculous and merciless buisness model. And chiefly, I am complaining because it is my right to have my voice and opinions heard. Hopefully if enough people do, GW might make some positive changes.
And, not trying to be rude in the least, but if that bothers you, simply scroll past my comments on the matter. ;D

but if one army has cheaper heavy support options they will buy them up and have the advantage over the person who chooses an army like IG who has to spend a whole bunch more on our fancy tanks and things...
I don't know it isn't right what they charge, that much is fact... but sadly you pay for what it does on the table(most of the time) not what it is actually worth.
also, if you already got yourself an army you never have to give up the game!
you just may have to stop expanding at some point...

I too love the game, which is why I keep spending money on it. The small victory I can have, though, is what I can spend my money on. I'm planning on adding two Battleforces from the War Store, and the old Hellhound kit from my local store. Then I think I'm done with IG, for the most part.

The kicker tends to be starting new armies.
Which is the mistake I keep making.
Though now I only really need to worry about IG, I'm not really in need of anything for Tau for a while.

Awwwww, really? =( I have a couple spare Marine Squads if you'd like them Kaikelx. Half the fun of 40k is modeling and painting.

Do you want fries w/ that, Reds? Indeed I do, for I am rather enamored with the food products of the noble potato. @envoy: Tried SM, twice, never got into them. Trying my luck with collecting Sisters of Battle, but that isn't looking too promising in terms of expanding the army. @helmian: Facebook is Nurgle's most successful blight that he has ever released upon humanity. Edit: Heh, glad I caught that comment and changed it before someone noticed... Reds

Nah...The other reasons my parents won't let me play it is because it is "too violent"
Yes, I know that they're only little plasitc people who just stand there. But my parents looked at the box art. Didn't really help....
Yet for some strange reason, I can play M rated games.......

Wow, that makes no sense. I choose to not play graphic War video games because they are too realistic and violent for me. But Warhammer is little plastic army men that you roll dice to see if you have to gingerly pick up and lovely place back in their carrying case. =P
The offer stands if you'd like the Marines Kaikelx! =) Buy the 15 dollars SM HQ commander (who is very fun to paint and model and comes with LOTS of neat bits) and you've got a small, playable army!

If my parents see those, they'll force me to send it back......with a full marine Company....... Since I'm two years away from getting a part time job (trying at least), I'm saving up money I get. After I get a job, I'm going to splurge for the books, a full Smurf Battle force, and paint. The basic Tactical and Assault squads would do me well. Afterwards, I'm rationing out my money, buying support (new weapons, as I'll be all set on troops, unless I decide I want some Termies) Once my Smurf company is set, that's where I'll stop. If I can afford it, I'll slowly build a guard list. After around 2000 points of Guard, I'll stop guard. My Space Marine list, well, the only troops I'll be needing to buy I'll buy in the battle force. It'll only be relatively small to medium sized games, and I'll maybe paint some deathwatch for kill-team games.....

Well best of luck Kailelx! If I could do it all over again I'd buy a box, put them together and paint them before getting anything else.
As it stands I have hundreds of models and over 20 vehicles that have no more than a thin layer of black primer on them. =(

It just occurred to me: you play the game w/ proxies. This is less violent than playing with plastic and pewter?
And the longer you wait to buy stuff, the more expensive it'll get. You should see if a friend will keep it for you, until your parents say it's okay.
