"I'd advise you drop your own weapon, friend."
The Chem-Dog smiled, and, idly, lasgun still in hand, turned to face the Hell's Bane troopers. He made an imposing sight - a massive, bulky rebreather slung across his shoulder, the tell-tale fumes of Kalma wafting across the gap between them. His friends looked up, and, quite slowly, deliberately, stood up, and flipped his middle finger at the grenadier, before returning to rifling through the Naval footlockers.
"Must be in here somewhere" he murmured, the Kalma haze numbing his sense of danger, quite unafraid of the potential for high explosive death. A third looked up, Naval pistol in hand, shrugged, and holstered it, before returning to his search.
The first man, quite nonchalant, closed his eyes, placed what would appear to be a cigar to his lips - a premium, expensive brand, most likely offworld, and , with a satisfied, low sigh, lit it. The tobacco fumes were sharp on the nose - a pungent stink filling the room, even as the wall-eyed bastard looked up, just past their shoulders, and winked.
It was only then that they noticed the second squad, standing quite calmly behind them, weapons levelled. One of them had even snuck up on Isan, placing a knife to his throat quite calmly, and leveling a lightweight stub pistol in the direction of the remaining Hell's Bane.
The first man, cigar still in hand, chuckled, a low, evil sound that filled the room, as he snorted in contempt, and returned to searching through the Naval supplies.

"All units, this is Lifeguard. It seems that several members of our task force have forgotten the rules about looting from civilians and allied dead, so consider this a reminder. Any soldier found looting, or requisitioning resources without the specific permission of myself or Maj. Van Dremmond will be shot. This is your first, last, and only warning. It is conduct unbecoming of an Imperial Guardsman, and I won't tolerate it under my command. Any officer unable to enforce this directive among his own men will be removed from command. Lifeguard out."

"You heard that broadcast," said Urvi as she cocked her head at the nearest speaker, "and guess what this qualifies as? Drop your weapons."
To his credit, Isan didn't flinch at all, and he still kept his lasgun pointed at a looter. Jan had shifted his aim so that one reflexive pull of the trigger would send a hail of frak grenades soaring into the room.
The rest of the squad simply shifted aim, countering the appearance of the 2nd squad. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lieutenant Miras cursed. Balan hadn't reported in for quite some time, and Miras had marshalled 1st and 3rd squads to check on him. Sighing, he checked his chrono. It'd be about a four minute walk to his last position...

"Eisenfell, if you haven't found that bloody shipping manifest by now I'm going to set your fraking Chem-Dog arse on fi- Throne!" came the voice of one Mattias Koinigsberg, Sergeant-Major of the Pryhran 108th. A strange, almost slender man, his appearance belied his nature, which was that of a proper Sergeant Major - a loud, bombastic firebrand with skin of iron, and who's blood ran purest fire.
Idly, the rest of his squad followed in, hellguns at ease, as he took in the scene, and, opening his mouth and taking in a deep, heavy breath, screamed.
"STAND DOWN, EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU OR BY THE GOD-EMPEROR I'LL KILL EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU MYSELF!!!"

"Sir, yes sir!" shouted the Kai-Tan on reflex.
As ordered, they lowered the weapons.

Seeing the Kai-Tan lower their weapons, the Chem-Dogs did so as well.
Still seething with the fury that comes as natural as walking to a man born to be a noncommissioned officer, Koinigsberg eyed the two groups.
"Now...gentlemen" he hissed, the last word laced with contempt, as he addressed both groups. "What in the name that is holy is going on here?"

Sergeant Balan spoke, in a calm voice, showing deference and respect for Koingsberg.
"Sir, we found looters raiding the naval footlockers in the facility. High Command's orders are to have looters shot."
OOC: Balan is saying that in character RT, I'm NOT going to try to get your guys shot.

"High Command is not fully aware of the situation. Captain Lucan is explaining the situation with Colonel Dunbar as we speak. In the meanwhile, Sergeant, I understand your conern, but I assure you - these men are merely searching for munitions. Our supply chain is becoming increasingly unreliable, and there's none like a Salvar for finding things."
- - - - - - - - - -
"This is becoming dull, Dunbar" growled Lucan. "First these bloody Shirabans, and now the fraking Kai-Tann! What the hell were those groundies doing in the A.O.R, anyway? Nevermind" he said, seeing Dunbar look bemused.
"Look, here's the fact: Independant companies do not rank high on the Departmento's resupply list. Powerful as my family is, most of the Valkyrie parts I'm getting are being directly shipped to me, and frankly, I need to scrounge as many small-arms as I can. Those Naval men were soldiers, Dunbar, and no soldier of the Emperor wants to see perfectly good tools of His Will going to waste."

Walking into the bunker, James made his way to Dunbar. As he made his way towards the commanding officer, he couldn't resist looking in on the 'Suppirior' technology that the Imperium deployed in the bunker. Chuckling quietly to himself, he entered the doorway to the debriefing room.
Standing at attention, he waited while Lucan and Dunbar discussed what seemed to be the looting issue that had been broadcasted awhile ago.

Dunbar gave Lucan a blank look for a moment, then spoke. "You want Valk Parts? You want Small arms? Fine. Take the Navy weapons you found. Ask me for more, if you need them. I can requisition extra equipment for the other units, and hand them off to you. Hell, I have three crates of Ventros and ammo sitting in supply back at the fort, because the Munitorium still thinks the 281st is a full tank regiment, instead of a battalion. They're yours if you want them. Don't go smashing into barracks and armouries without telling me, though. This little adventure of yours with the Kai-Tann could have been easily avoided if you had actually thought to let me know you were going to do it before you did it. I wouldn't have stopped you, but I could have let other elements know. Also it's key that I know what equipment you have, and what you need, so I know how combat ready you are. In case you forgot, I'm in command here, and I do need to know the activities of my units. In the future, tell me when you're going to grab some gear. Hell, ask me to help! It'll give you more regular access to supplies."
He paused, as if marshaling his words. "Now, the question of looting. I understand your men at the Navy facility were not looting, but those two scum buckets Ketterman found were. It's not to happen again. Period. I know you have several elements in your command that were Savlar, so they had a right to loot. Not any more. They're in your unit, and hat's enough for me to consider them Pyhrian, not Savlar. The Shiraban Commissars may also decided that seeing your men looting dead civilians will negatively affect the morale of their units. I don't think I have to remind you that Commissars are supposed to maintain the Morale of their unit, no matter what, and that may very well mean shooting any scum that tries to steal. There's also the fact we've had Genetstealers and isolated Orks lurking about, both here and back at the fort, and having your men wander off to do some pillaging is a security risk."
Dunbar spread his arms wide, a wry smile on his face. "So, here's the deal. You can either slip a leash on your Chem dogs.." the smile disappeared "...Or I'll do it, and in as brutal a fashion as I see fit." he let his hands drop. "In addition keep me in the loop abut your requisitioning. That isn't an order, but I will turn it into one if need be. Also, play nice with the other regiments. Yours is he only one I've had trouble and complaints with, so shape up. That one is an order. Understood?"

Lucan watched Dunbar for a moment, quite impassive. And then, with a chuckle, he nodded.
"Aye, Dunbar. But to be fair, the Kai Tann weren't meant to be inside the barracks. And I can hardly go about bothering you every time one of my men gets bored with his weapon and wants himself a new one. So I'll keep you in the loop. We're about to bash in the blast doors of one of the armouries. Emperor knows what's in there, but hopefully, it'll be amusing."
Ah, the man's sheer, impertinent bravado, mused Lucan, as the rest of his commanders filed in. He knows if he loses me, half the supplies for this damn crusade dry up, but he's so damned committed he's willing to risk it all for 'discipline'. Good old Dunbar.

(OOC: The amusing thing is that Dunbar has no idea about Lucan's political connections, although he suspects he was a political appointment to lead the unit ) "Fine. I suppose you have your on demo men, but if you need help, give me a ring. I haven't met a door that can stand up to a Leman Russ trying to yank it off it's hinges. Also, those Ventros are yours, if you want them. Just ask Van. I'll have a word with the Kai-Tan boys. They have their own sector to patrol, so Emperor knows why they were in yours." Lucan dealt with to his satisfaction, Dunbar stretched, and waved MaJune over. "It's safe to join us now, I won't kill you." the way he said it failed to reassure. Reds

Ignoring the bickering going on, the Palatine made the Aquila symbol and crossed the hand over her chest, whispering a short prayer before clearing her throat-- made all the more noticeable by her voxcaster.
"Ahem. Let's get on with this, shall we? We have a war to run."

Stepping up to Dunbar, James made a half-hearted smile. Looking over to the sister, he nodded and added, ¨she's right, this war won't win itself...What's the plan?¨ As he said this, he made sure to slowly casually away from Lucan.

Van Dremmond and Captain Lammert arrived, followed by the Adorean commander and the Mordian General. Dunbar nodded as the group clustered around him. "Good, we're all here. Now, we have three targets to deal with. First is the southern bridge. We have to secure it to ensure that the Orks in Factory City One don't try a flank assault on this city. That job will fall to the Mordians."
"Objective two is Fort Macharius. We aren't going to bother capturing it, we're going to lance it from orbit. The key, though, is to hit it when they least expect it, so they can't use it to bolster their forces in Factory City 3, which is our final, and most important objective. We're going to split into two groups. Grendel, the Shiraban Recon detachment, and Fox will make up Task Force One, under the command of Van. They'll leave tonight, swing by the fort, and be in position by tomorrow. Task Force Two is everyone else. We'll be leaving tomorrow morning, and sitting at the Fort until the time is right."
He smiled a bit. "Now, here's how we're going to do this..."

Fenera was the last one out of the sewers. Mhaldin helped her out while others cleaned their dirtied gear of grime and ork blood.
"They will want us to help them take a power plant," Fenera whispered to her brother.

Nickar stepped forwards.
"Sir, by 1st coy dropping in, does that mean you intend to keep us in reserve? If so, our landers won't be able to loiter long. We'll have 20 minutes of good hovering time, max. The rest of our fuel's needed for getting back to The Shield Arrow. It'll also be a while before we can enter the atmosphere at a low enough level to drop safetly, meaning we'll have to time this right..."

"You're not getting away that easy, I'm afraid." Dunbar said with a rueful smile "You'll be supporting the left pincer. MaJune's men will be supporting the right. Lucan's boys and girls will be falling in with the Adoreans in the center push, except for the troopers he has clearing the tunnels."

Van Dremmond cut in. "Don't need all your men in the tunnels, Captain. That would be a bit of a waste to have all your men down there. Better to pick twenty of your best, lead by the squad leaders you trust the most. The tunnels aren't that wide, so anything more then a ten man squad per tunnel would be pointless. We're going to have troops in five tunnels leading to the complex. They have connection junctures, so all the teams can mutually support each other. Anything more then that, and the teams will just get in each other's way."
Dunbar took over. "You and the rest of your men will be up top, on the Adorean right, and will have close support from Lt. Morain's Demolisher squadron. If you don't think your officers are up to controlling the Savlar, you do have a Commissar you can attach to one squad, and I'm sure we can find a second one to attach to the other squad."
