hmm maybe this idea wasn't so great after all. Hey about the too many sergeants thing I could demote my chara it would be no problem.

Okay, I've demoted most of you to the rank of 'Guardsman', simply because I grew tired of having to remember your titles and having a silly proportion of Noncommissioned officers in my group. Cadian 177 and TGS are my sergeants, mainly because I enjoy having wasters, thieves and halfwits as being in charge.
Will be posting the intro soon.

Think of it this way...
to get into delta team, you get demoted... if you are bitter about it use it for your character

I'm just a little annoyed because i came up with my corporal earlier than some people, i was faster but then i suppose there will be personal bias over proper interesting roleplaying.

too many sergeants is bad i mean really what sort of army has more non-coms then privates imagine if he said we could be officers half the team would be officers a third sergeants and the last bit would be privates and the like. It would have been really ugly now we have a lt, 2 sergeants, and a commissar, so we can easily form as a maximum of a full platoon with 2 sections each under a sergeant, with 3 squads per section each under a corporal, of course i doubt we will have enough people to but the team isn't too top heavy just enough to get by and keep the chain of command going in the event of losses

Eh. "Private First Class" Is pretty much the same as "Guardsmen"

With basic Private being equivalent to Conscript.
My "Armsman" rank is basicly a specialist, someone trained specifically in a specific range of weapons and tools, in this case meltaguns/grenade launchers and explosives/demolitions.

Oh calm down all of you. Guardsman is because I need a unifying rank (which is that of 'Guardsman' in the Departmento Munitorum manuel - and if you argue with that, Ymmot shoots you!). Shugotenshi seems to have taken the matter rather well. If we get supporting troops, or more players, I'll promote extra sergeants based on how well you RP (character Development, writing style and imagination, good grammar...)
On that note - your sergeant was demoted for two reasons, laughingman. Firstly, because I only really need one. Secondly, because Cadian and TGS are experienced RP'ers. Thirdly, becuase their posts displayed greater conformity to correct syntax, grammar, spelling and capitalisation.
Oh, and here are the rules:
1. Run each post through spellcheck. Honestly, I don't care about minor errors, but when I'm facing down a mass of "i decdied to move up and fire at teh Marine postion" 's, I will most likely ignore it
2. No godmoding. If you want to RP another character, on your own head be it, but if they complain to me, I will edit your post. Also - if your character winds up being a Mary Sue, I will probably have it cop some shrapnel and die. I'm fickle like that.
3. That being said, I value this rule above all - be cool. Feel free to be as stylish and epic as you feel possible. If you do break any other rules (trenchcoating, Godmoding, so on), I will most likely be quite happy to negotiate a truce and compromise if it is either cool, or expands the story.
4. No flaming, trolling or rudeness.
5. Epic, awesome, destruction and so on=win.

Okay, what's Mary Sue? I've read it quite a bit when I was scrolling through comments on some fanfics, and I have no clue what it means....

Unfeasibly, absurdly perfect, whom everyone likes, with no flaws. In essence, a Space Marine.

Think we've got a medic, however, you are still welcome as a basic grunt. You can give the medic a hand and sort of 'apprentice' yourself to him.
And the intro is up.

ok with me RT, considering it's a rag tag bunch of soldiers from diffrent armies, having the man in charge decide a unified rank system for a bunch of offworlders that each have their own ranking systems makes sense. Hell, for all anyone knows the rank I gave Igor could mean just about anything, for terms of Athenor, which has two very diffrent ranking systems, Special regular for the more... "guard" ranking system would be more along the lines of a Master sergeant, however, for his unit, he is more along the lines of a specialist. He acts as according to his unit specifications, as termed elite, he has qualities and training that merit him apart from "normal" Guard. While he knows he has special skills, in a unit of special skill soldiers, his extra training means very little, so in terms of this RP, he is simply a basic soldier.
