For a split second he almost looked like he had seen a ghost, but he quickly regained his composure responded with a slow nod "Ponce. Yes I remember, good of you to still be alive. Do try to keep up with the rest of us...you can't expect Sergeant Keirn to constantly fill you in on what is going on."

Steven nodded slightly and shrugged. "Yeah,im still alive. Have five augmetic organs and a new augmetic hand though." He said flexing his left hands digits. They were covered in a leather glove, standard guard issue, but they were too bulky and moved too mechanically to be human. "Bunch of new comers here, arent there? And...." ,He pointed to the loudmouth who had yelled upon entry at him , "new friend of yours?" He didnt wait for an answer because the man of purity had come to check on him. He passed quickly, and turned back to the Commissar. "Oh,and my names Vince now. Changes back on my homeworld are effecting me even across the stars it seems."

Sterben looked somewhat impassive as the man spoke to him."Be quiet and pay attention trooper Ponce, and show some respect to the lieutenant or I'll be forced to turn him loose on you."

Vince nodded looking elsewhere in thought. "Im a changed man,Commissar. Being quiet and paying attention is now what I do." He turned back to the group and strode forth to the trooper who had identified him to the Lieutenant and commissar. "Well....you know what i need to know...Jason?" ,He remembered the man from the original Delta. What a semi-pleasent surprise. "Well its good to know that not this entire unit is full of scalped newbies. Whats the word and who's CO?"

"Steven, er Vince rather..." Jason had a slight distracted look as he spoke to the man. "I remember. CO would be the the huge man over near the Commissar. Word is, we're going to end this war, and do it wasting a few thousand rounds of ammo, and cut a traitor marines head off. Sound Good?"
Jason stood as the examiner went over him, nodding approval at the aquila tattooed to his shoulder. Handing a clipboard to the LT the examiner stood and waited.

After passing his purity test with flying colors Paul glanced at the new comer as he flexed his hand. Bionics huh? Must be a hell of a story. He turned away from him and slung his lascarbine, as the examiner completed his tests and handed the clipboard to the Lieutenant.

Vince simply nodded at the words. "Gotcha...i'll see you around I guess." He left and walked towards the lieutenant. The man was rather big,but not truly imposing, although he carried a commanders aurora around him; Confident, sharp, and ready. He took a glance, apologised quietly, then turned away and left towards the armoury. He still needed ammo and armour. He checked out over 2000 rounds in stubber clips, another boltpistol to match his own,and a set of varied grenades. Oh the fun he wouldve had.... But not anymore. After getting a set of caraprace armour to rightly fit him and a pair of goggles with a rebreather mask,he walked into the barracks and looked over a few of the soldiers rummaging around it. One was a female, irregular although, but he knew women could fight just as well as men and did his best to respect them. He walked to the end of the barracks to locker number '23',the one he had a key for. So this new version of Delta was to end the war it seemed. They would proably get caught up in event beyond their control as usual and end up the heroes just like last time.

Sterben began to button his coat over his weathered metal breastplate, as well as being well worn his uniform was also rather unadorned save for the silver skulls on his buttons and the small gold aquila pendant on his cap. Once his fingers reach down just below his dark red sash he checks to make sure his bolt pistol is secure in its holster along his thigh then feels for the las pistol in a quick draw holster across the small of his back before moving his palm over the pommel of his power sword. The handle of the saber accommodated his grip perfectly and was covered in a intricate basket hilt. The blade was narrow and slightly curved, ideal for hacking and slashing, but with a strong spine and a sturdy tip in case it was necessary to deliver a precise thrust.
After checking his weapons the Commissar takes a pair of black gloves out of his pockets and pulls them on over his hands with a satisfying leather creak. He then pulls up the collar on his coat and sets his cap forward slightly before turning to watch the approaching chimeras. Hm...this city, this whole planet...he could almost taste the corruption in the air, the stink of it all around him offended all of his senses. He hated the enemy for what they had done to this place, he hated them and he would make them pay.

Sergeant Kellion looked to the newcomer. His face looked familiar, like someone you just see in a crowd and never think twice of but you see them again after a year and you laugh at the malefactors of fate and chance and their sick sense of humour. It was that guy from the arbites place. Chaz didn't know the name, he'd never stopped to learn.
With the hustling of the lieutenant, the monian scout stood in line.

Stepping out from the line where he to had just taken the purity check, Drake took the clipboard from the medic, noting down the details, and went through the men again. Pulse...respiratory rate....a pain-stimulus test....and finally, the most important, that look into their eyes, offically to check pupils and dilation, but Drake was a firm believer that, somehow, you could catch a glimpse of a person's soul in that brief few seconds that compelled them to look into yours. After this, Drake gave Sterben a curt nod. All was fine, as it appeared to him.
"Alright people, listen up. Our transport arrives in...five minutes, so grab your gear and hustle up. The plan is simple. We take these two chimeras, and, as part of the 87th Grendel Armoured's offensive with...hah, the 204th Valhallan Light Infantry, we move through the enemy lines, ahead of the offensive. Elements of the 204th will most likely support us, but only as far as their axis of advance is permitted. After that, there will still be....some three miles of territory to traverse. While the enemy will, hopefully, be in retreat, we must be prepared for any scenario. I trus this matter is clear!"
"Those artillery you can hear" he said, for indeed, the distant thunder of the Basilisks could be heard "are firing from the level above us!" He said, pointing up to the massive, overhanging ceiling that towered above them, so many hundreds of metres above. "They are not firing in support of us. They are firing interdirection onto a coloumn of renegade infantry moving up to reinforce the city. Do not hope for artillery! Do not expect any Navy pilot to be mad enough to fly his crate through here! All we have is ourselves, and our friends and allies! I trust that will be sufficent!

Jason picked up his las rifle and slapped a magazine in it. "I'll make damn sure of it sir." Jason spoke a serious tone in his voice. "Shall I go get the everyone who went back inside?"

"Hey, Vince and Heinbeck, were leaving in 5!" Kerin told the two sitting in the barracks going through gear. "Need you outside, locked and loaded." He spoke with a roughness but soft all the same. He walked out of the room passing the armoury.
"Hey, hand me a few hot-shot laspacks would you?" he asked the pudgy man. "and make it quick."

Vince nodded and shoved the last few possesions he had left from last time into his pack. He capped his mask under his helmet and concealed all his face, except for his ears. He preferred natural sound and instinct over most else. He was totally covered in gray fatigues, pouches, and bags now, his stubber was tied to the pack on his back, and not a milimeter of skin was to be seen. He looked at the other trooper, the female, what'd she been called? Heinbeck he thought. She looked decent enough, though it was impossible to tell with all that gear over her. "Oh well", He thought and walked out. He walked over to the group of soldiers already set outside, but stood on the outskirts of the group. He crossed his arms and sudied each of their faces, knowing they couldnt see his behind his facemask.

Heinbeck needed no reminder-- she was already ready, suited up and punctual-- arriving before anyone else, and simply waiting patiently for the time to leave.

Julian double and trippel checked his equipment, and then checked it once more just to be sure. He then slammed a magazine into his las carbine while reciting the litany of re loading and clicked the safety on. He then took another drag of his lho stick and blew out a cloud of smoke. He strapped on his re breather, and shouldered the carbine before he loaded the revolver and the naval pistol.
''Good to go sir.''

As sergeant kellion passed Commissar Sterben on his way over to the transport, belching promethium smoke from its exhausts, he regarded the commie once more. Flashing the political officer an mockish, unfriendly smile, Chaz also fixed him with his black, haunting eyes.
"Well commissar, looks like i'm gonna have to get used to having a falking commie in the same unit as me."

Walking directly behind Chaz, stuffing magazines of ammo and survival gear into any pocket that would hold them, he look at Sterben. "Just like old times eh sir?" He laughed a dry laugh and leaned against the side of the transport, its engines purring.

The Commissar's auspex outlined Sergeant Kellion in red and his built in targeter gauged his exact distance... just within range of the tiny yet lethal digital laser. Sterben could shoot Kellion right between the eyes without even moving a finger and the man would never see it coming. Sterben smiled, satisfied that his implant was functioning properly. "I'll be watching you Sergeant Kellion, just do your duty to the Emperor and we shouldn't have any problem."
Sterben gives a short nod toward Keirn and continues to smile as he climbs aboard one of the transports.

Vince moved his right arms sleeve back and took a glance at his chron; 1 minute left. He walked towards the arrival bay where the transport would be arriving. There were several guardsmen squads from several other regiments around. He recognised a couple of units from Valhalla from his first campaign on Kalimus. The 204th was there when Delta was fighting as well. He sighed and cursed himself for getting into memories again. He walked to the edge of the corridor and leaned back to loiter till the rest of Delta arrived. He removed the leather glove covering his bionic left arm and moved his sleeve up to his shoulder just under the pads there. The seal of the Adeptus Mechanicus was imprinted on his elbow joint, and the power catridges that run up his forearm were at full power. Over it was the "I" of the Inquisition who had searched and sactioned him after his action against the Greater Deamon. The purity seals were annoying, but nessesary. He covered his arm once more and put the leather glove back on. The Chimera's were coming over now, dust slightly rising off their tracks. Sighing again,he walked towards them.

"Outstanding" said Drake, a warm, feral burr entering his voice in mimicry of the chimeras engines as he stepped inside the lead command hatch.
"Sterben, Kellion, Kerin and you too Endrax, ride with me. The rest of you, take the second 'Himera."

Vince got into the second Chimera and chose the seat farthest from the hatch. No sense in dying before the fight even starts and wasting good bravery for no gain. Let some other fool sit there.

Chaz mounted the chimera, swearing to falk that the commie bastard was in the same transport. He soon took a position so he could see through the front vision slot of the chimera.
"Sir, maybe i could lend my eyes to the driver. I am the scout here after all."
