I perfer the Dark Eldar because they're stealthy and quick, weakly armoured although, they still manage to get the job done somehow.

I am quite fond of the Eldar race as a whole actually, they each have their appeal to me...
but I have a lot more fun with the Dark Eldar...sure both sides require cunning...but with the DE it isn't so much about this whole "each element creates a single note in a grand symphony of destruction!" business, and more like "Sneak up on them while the aren't looking and slit their miserable throats!"

Real eldar. The Dark Eldar are fossils now. Their new codex is like Starcraft 2: it's something you look forward to, but it's simple never coming out.

Improper attitude Nicholasakira! You must always have faith in the bunch of ripping-off, know nothing, lackeys in GW's upper echeleons

I vote for Dark Eldar. They're at least fairly cool, especially the Warrior models.
Craftworld Eldar makes me... well, it gives me the same feelings I get when thinking about Dungeons and Dragons or Final Fantasy. Sorry nicholasakira. Plus I think their codex is written rather badly. It's hard to put the focus on what it is, but it seems like things just don't match up and fit in, it doesn't have the synergy I'd expect from a single race/faction codex.

The units in the DE dex that work are among the best in the game for what they do. Those that don't are the worst in the game, regardless of what thy do. It's like a codex full of Executioners and punishers...

Well, just based on models, I have to go hands down with the Craftworld Eldar. BUT, given new models, I think the DE would move up my list of armies to make very very quickly!

I like Dark Eldar simply because they are the only side that is truly evil. Sure, the Chaos Legions may destroy entire worlds, corrupt the minds and souls of billions; the Necrons may be attempting to destroy all life, Daemonhunters will kill/sterilize you and stick you in a labor camp for the rest of your life for even mentioning Warp-things if you're not supposed to know about them and the forces available to the Witch Hunters are just about to kill you eventually if you attract their attention, but all those sides have mitigating circumstances. Chaos, Daemonhunters and Witch Hunters all have a higher goal they work towards, and Necrons rarely think for themselves anyway. My point is that the Dark Eldar could have lived like the Craftworld or Exodite Eldar but chose not to. Instead of living a lifetime of strict discipline and personal perfection, they chose to kill, maim, violate, abduct and torture other beings, even their own kind because they enjoy it. They are, I think, the best representation of what the old Eldar Empire was like during its last days before the birth of Slaanesh still around in the 41st millennium. They, as a race, have no redeeming qualities; they're evil, they know they're evil and they wouldn't have it any other way. I've always had a soft spot in my heart for intelligent bad guys, fast, audacious attack styles and underdogs, and Dark Eldar fit the bill better than any other side in 40K. Plus, I saw this thread on Warseer that has some fantastic conversions. Seeing these almost makes me hope that GW doesn't make new Dark Eldar sculpts.

If those are the only two choices, then I'd say that counts as a mitigating circumstance.

It's possible that there were other choices as well, but they chose to continue with the pleasure cults that ultimately destroyed their civilization and created a Chaos god. They are sneaky, devious, and audacious backstabbing bastards, and I love them as bad guys for that very reason.

I'd rather have an army that cuts others, rather than themselves...

*Votes for Eldar simply to make things more interesting.*
Wraithlords are pretty awesome...
Then again, Incubi have laser hats!
Mmm...laser hats.

They don't really look like samurai to me... Actually, the DE would be closer to the light, speed-oriented assault and terror tactics the medieval Japanese armies would have used.
Finally! I've been trying to post this for ~30 minutes... kept giving me flak about the board not existing...

The words in their armor, THEIR armors, their swords, and their letters! Man, they have somehow a Japanese(not samurai, sorry) look a like, well, at least somehow a anime/fantasy look a like.

You know, I'm beginning to think it would be really cool to give my Incubi No-dachi or Naginata as counts-as Punishers.
Actually, it strikes me that Incubi would probably carry a whole bunch of different weapons with them, each for a different situation. Even though they wouldn't do anything, I think I'll stick a few extra swords and pistols and the like on them.
