Solikov nodded to rest of his team gathered in the Helicopter. "Brothers, today the motherland is asking something very important of you; That you will not fear, and you will not falter. Infestation has swept a village to the west of our Siberian comrades, and they ask for our aid. A rift of some sort has opened, and creatures are pouring through and forth. Some say they are deamons, some aliens, some an expirement gone wrong. Our mission is to capture and detain 5 of these monsters, and kill the rest. Any questions?" he asked suttly. A brief shake of heads from the 12 present Spetznaz troops was all he needed. "In 6 minutes we land. There are 5 other helicopters dropping others off at other drop zones. We fight our way to them, and cleanse everything else."

"You know what to do."
Sergeant Brian Yu never had been the kind of sergeant that shouted and cussed off his men. Instead, he had this quiet, determined attitude and look, that commanded respect from every soldier he had fought with. He had fought and bled with his squad of 12, 4 of them he had known since basic. The remainder of the original squad had been promoted to other units. Meanwhile, the recruits sent to place them had earned the trust of their squad, and now, the unit was whole again.
Briefly, Yu wondered what had become of his friend, Erin. She had become very close to him, and the closeness was the subject of many of Taylor's, the sergeant of 1st squad, jokes.
Admonishing himself, Yu concentrated on the task at hand.
There were many questions on his mind, and he knew that most, if not all, of his squad had them too.
There were supposedly insurgents operating within the United States, and the government had sent the 1st Ranger Battalion to wipe them out.
But several things concerned him.
Why was the entire battalion sent to take down a bunch of insurgents?
Why were they ordered to leave no one alive?
Why had they not only been suggested, but ordered to update their wills?
Why had they been suggested to clear up any unfinished business?
Why did the Captain look so grim when telling them they were moving out?
How had the insurgents gotten here in the first place?
Too many questions, not enough answers.
His squad kept advancing until they came to some small clearing, Yu crouched down, and moved forwards a little to move up to whispering distance to Taylor.
"Taylor, what's wrong."
"I don't know....wait...what the hell is that thing!?"
There was a portal, encompassing a lot of the clearing, and out of it poured....creatures......
They were around seven feet tall, with this strange weapon thing on their right arms....They were coming out and.....
"Oh my god! Help! What are these-AHHHH-"
The weapons on the creatures arms launched a bunch of some sort of tracking projectile?
Either way, they flew fast, and tracked their way to an unlucky ranger, killing him as his body was ripped apart.
"Rangers! Open up!"
Sergeant Yu fired his rifle, watching as the bullets seemed to have an effect on the creatures. Grinning, Yu shouted to the rest of the platoon.
"If they can bleed-" Yu finished off one of the creatures, "They can die!"
With a grim determination, Yu's squad engaged the creatures, becoming engulfed in a small war with these so called 'insurgents'.

IC (In Character):
"Chase! Vierez! Hunter! Flank that thing from the right!"
"Yes sir!"
"Young! Chavez! Scowen! Take the left!"
"Yes sir!"
"Rest of you, suppressing fire!"
Yu fired on burst, squeezing the trigger fast enough to constitute full auto. This....thing...was huge, at about 7 meters high...and it had just smashed through the rangers.
Rifles, SAW, greandes....It could not be stopped.
Yu could only watch as Chase's group was smashed apart by the raging monster, and as Young's group fired a LAW that seemed to merely just annoy it.

The 12 Russian specialist landed without experiancing resistance, and gave a complete patrol of the villages outskirts without seeing a thing. They started to move through the streets in a slow sweeping movement. "Comrades Levy, Limitok, and Relinov, take the forward movement up through the streets. Myself and Comrades Continos will take to the top of this building. The rest of you porvide surpessing fire and continue to sweep the streets." ,Said Solikov to his squad. He and sniper Continos advanced up the street and disappeared into a tall building to their right. After clearing several sets of stairs and reaching the 5th floor, they chose seperate rooms and began overwatch.
Solikov's scope steadied and he surveyed it all across the streets opposite his troops. Then he.... Shooting. It was coming from below. He looked down and saw several muzzle flashes from rifles. He looked at what they were pointing at,and in the darkness say only several red orbs. They moved inhumanly fast and were heading towards his men. There were at least 18 of the things, but he saw 4 fall. He took quick aim at one and fired. The black shape fell and the red eye dimmed. He took aim again, and fired again. The shape slowed and let out a screech of pain or curse incomprehenseable. It looked at his direction and sent out a squeal unlike anything the man had ever heard. He fired and it finally fell. Then.....he heard rapid steps advancing up the stairs. A door was bust down down the hall, and a shot from a sniper rifle was fired, then a human scream. Continos......sh!t. Then his own door was broken. The Red orbs rushed the room and fired with his shotgun,it was mounted under his left arm. One fell, but more came on.......

Meanwhile, the 1st battalion were caught fighting for their lives. Creatures that would later be known as "Alien Grunts" poured through the portal, this one seemingly dedicated to a full scale invasion. All nearby Army units, along with now pretty much all of the 75th Ranger regiment poured into the fight. Creatures later identified as Gragantuas also poured through, along with other creatures, identified as headcrabs and houndeyes poured through.
The U.S Army contingent in Georgia was, in all practical terms, overrun, and now the U.S government resorted to evacuating the civilians....and preparing to launch nukes in a last ditch effort to annihilate the invaders......
"Keep moving!" shouted Sergeant Yu as he slowly moved backwards. These damn creatures were good....
The 'grunts' were skilled, and Yu had seen one of them butcher a trio of infantrymen when they had gotten too close.
For some reason, they were armored in the back, but not in the front, so he and what was left of his squad had learned to attack quickly from the front, then fade out....
Speaking of his squad.....
He looked around at the quartet of men left. That giant monster had ended up wiping out Young's fireteam as well, leaving the remaining 6, 2 of whom fell to the alien grunts with their homing projectiles....Why is it that every alien has to have superior technology?
Their hides were saved when a squadron of Abrams tanks had rumbled by, and blasted it into oblivion...He had no clue what happened to the tanks afterwards....
He felled another grunt, and another, and watched as one of them got close to Lucian, ripping him apart in an orgy of blood, before being shot down by Rian.
Rian was standing there one moment, and his head was gone in the next.
A trio of alien grunts lept towards Yu and Corporal Anderson.
"You want some!? Come and---YAHH-"
Yu watched as Anderson was ripped in half.
He crouched and gunned down the first monster, then the second, and then the third-
It was on him in a flash.
It ripped through the tree Yu was hiding behind, and slammed down it's arm at him. He rolled away, and brought up his Beretta, firing a fusilade of shots into it's torso, scoring hits, until the magazine ran dry, and the grunt ran towards him again. Cursing, he dove again out of the way and rose, knife in hand, ready for the end. The grunt turned.
And then died in a hail of bullets.
"Glad we made it here in time, eh Yu?" remarked Sergeant Taylor.
Taylor led a trio of his squad, and Yu couldn't see clearly enough in the darkness to identify who.
"Very. Where's the LT?"
"Dead. Giant got him. Where's the rest of your squad?"
"Gone. Same giant tore right through us. Nothing could stop that thing...Rifles, SAW, LAW....Damn it, let's move it, last I heard, we're supposed to hold them off long enough to emergency evac the civies."
Taylor snorted.
"Evac them in what, 50 minutes? We won't last another 40 at this rate."
"Still....Every person counts....We'll head back to town...."
Yu watched as Taylor looked at his men, then looked back and nodded.
"Yeah, sounds good. And don't worry....She'll be fine."
Sergeant Brian Yu turned, acting as if he was leading the group, but in reality, hiding the tears that were coming to his eyes.

William Lloyd hunkered down in the old warehouse, he'd gone from fighting the government to fighting these monsters. He aimed at the first creature a tiny monster looking more like some kind of dog. He squeezed the trigger and the bolt on his rifle slammed forward, the round struck the alien squarely and pitched it over. In the distance he heard military grade small arms fire and wondered who it was.

"Rangers! Fall back to that warehouse!"
Yu had managed to collect a rag-tag group of soldiers under his command, forming a group of about 16.
Taylor had two of his men left, and Yu had run across a pack of 5 ranger survivors. The other 7 were from the regular army, and two of them had SAWs while a third carried a sniper rifle.
At the sound of the order, the group of soldiers ran back into the city, stopping and turning back to lay down a punishing field of fire to any alien brave or stupid enough to get close. All around them, bodies lay everywhere, a lot of them alien, but most of them human.
Yu had no clue of what happened to the rest of the U.S soldiers fighting in the city. Something told him he didn't want to know.
They had all seen the zombies. That's what they called them. Those little crab-like creatures would leap onto someone's face, and then it would all be over, and that person would proceed to become something like a zombie, running around, killing any and all in its path.
As Taylor could attest too, the crab creatures didn't distinguish between an adult, or a child....

William saw the soldiers coming, then he saw the zombies. He reloaded his rifle and aimed at the first zombie and fired. The round struck the head cleanly knocking it over, too his horror he saw that he hadn't kill the alien creature and it was rapidly advancing on the soldiers, he began firing wildly attempting to kill it.

Yu turned and saw the incoming creature...and then.....
"Covering fire!"
Yu raised his gun and fired, at near point-blank range. The rest of his group did so to, and the zombie was shredded by the sheer number of bullets headed it's way...But a question entered his mind.
Who had fired that first shot?
None of his men had fired that shot that had warned them all. So who had...?
"Yo, Sarge, you okay."
"Yeah. Thanks Griffen. Keep moving! Diggins, Jourgansen, watch the rear!"

William sighed with relief as he saw the soldiers turn and fire. He saw them getting close and stood from his hiding place on the roof. "Hello, there!" He motioned with one hand for his friend's to stay hidden just in case.

"Who the hell are you?" replied Sergeant Taylor. Wisely though, the group stayed hidden, taking cover where they could.
"Excuse my friend,"started Sergeant Yu, "I'm Sergeant Brian Yu, U.S Rangers, 1st Battalion. I'd recommend you head over to the evac helicopters, we'll show you the way if you want."
Taking advantage of the lull, the group reloaded their weapons, when Taylor approached Yu.
"Sir, the SAWs are running low. What should we do?"
"They carry secondaries?"
"Used the last of those fending off the grunts, sir."
"Damn.....Have Schuller give Leroy his ammo. Find Schuller a gun."
"Yes, sir."
Something clicked in Yu's mind. He had been commanding this group of 16 for some time...Even though he was technically the same rank as Taylor, Taylor had started calling him 'sir'.
This did not bode well.....

"Militia.....Ah screw that, how about we stick together? You seem to be a pretty good shot. We're buying time too, and also gathering up the remnants of the Army. I won't lie to you, we've lost. All we can do now is cut our losses....
We should keep moving. Those grunt things'll run over any static defense we set up. Along the way, we can round up your militia, and maybe we can gather up a few more squads.
I'd take everything you can. We ain't coming back, and I do NOT know how to get those strange gun things they have....
Speaking of which, I don't think they need to reload either..."

William made a hand signal and he and 6 other militia men climbed down to meet the soldiers. The Militia men were armed with far more primative equipment than the soldiers, all of them carried bolt-action rifles, one of them carried an old second world war machine gun. The militia men all wore Grey uniforms, well grey uniform like clothing, they each wore a black beret which was the only single identical piece of clothing. "All right, let's get moving then"

Aster didnt know what else to do,so he jumped. His fall took him down 3 stories, and he landed with a dull crack from his legs which buckled under him. He yelled in pain as well as cursing the foul creatures there. Four other Spetznaz troopers showed at his scream and came back, dragging him in between them. They pulled him back and dragged him for what felt like 20 agonizing minutes. They finally reached their destination and lifted him unto a helicopter. THey were about to take off,but he asked to hold, now regaining control of himself. He put his com to his mouth and began to speak. "Comrades, fall back to ecstraction point Zeta now,i will meet you there. We will still win this yet,but we must fall back and regroup first!" He yelled before nodding to the pilot to take off. A medic began to address his two broken legs and dislocated arm.

Yu could see the small looks that the troopers gave each other.
"Alright then, let's head off in the direction of the evac zone, we'll find more survivors there. Taylor, split off, take your squad, and loop around for more survivors. We'll link up with you at the evac point. Lloyd, keep the militia with us, if you want, break a man or two off to go with Taylor's squad. You guys have one heck of a set of eyes, so we'll need you to watch the rear. Your bolt-actions'll be more effective too from a distance. Form up and move out!"
With that, the soldiers started heading off away from the warehouse, in the general direction of the thickest fighting.

Captain Solikov's strike teams, now known as Leer Company, soon after being relocated to a small mountain outpost just clear of their first objective, was radioed by a CP and were ordered west towards the Ural mountains where they would be refueled and resupplied for what the CO called "Emergancy Work".
4 hours later, upon reaching the mountain range and getting restocked with various supplies, Leer Company was sent along with a division via air to Norways southern lands before once again taking to the air for the United Kingdom,England.

Sergeant Yu and his men, along with the militia moved down through the streets, and word soon spread about "The Commandos" who cleared the aliens with minimal resistance by somehow always flanking them, raising morale, and generally, as Yu put it, "Being the biggest pain in the a** these freaks have ever known"
Eventually, though, all good things must come to an end, and unfortunately that included ammo.
Yu hadn't heard from Taylor's team yet, although last contact had reported them in good shapes, even running into a few more survivors to add to the group.
OOC: Don't worry Laughingman, your militiamen who went with them are not dead
IC:
Yu was about to round a corner and head through a ruined house, when suddenly Johnson called a halt.
"Sir....There's something beyond that rubble...."
