-HQ- BroodLord=92 toxic sacs feeder tendrils x6 Genestealers=138 toxic sacs extended carapace
-Elite- Lictor=80 scything talons rending claws flesh hooks feeder tendrils
-Troops-
x6 Genestealers=162 toxic sacs feeder tendrils scuttlers extended carapace
x12 Genestealers=264 toxic sacs scuttlers
x12 Genestealers=264 toxic sacs scuttlers
total 1000
I wrote this list up just for the hell of it, I think on a 4x4 table it would be pretty nasty...but mostly it just sounded like fun to me.
the Lictor adds +1 to my reserves regardless if he has entered play or not and with WS6 S5 stealers and an S6 broodlord with re-roll to hit in close combat...these guys will chew up anything.
Everything outflanks!
except the Lictor who has his own special rules for deployment.

You're a sick man. And I say that for suggesting a 4x4 table.
You do love those genestealers, don't you?

it would be a whole lot of fun on a small table...(for me at least)
and yes...I love me some stealers, they were the first 40k models I had ever seen in person...way back when I was but a wee rocketman.
Add around 15 years and a couple boxes of the battle for macragge...plus the nid battleforce and another box of stealers and I have enough of the little buggers to make this happen.

Deploy 19" from the board edge, First rank fire, second rank fire, independent fire at will. Best terrain deployment ever, all the cover away from the board edge of my quarter, sit in the cover firing on the genestealers as they come from a 4 storey building, i played a 1500 point list and forced a draw by deploying far from where he could advance with open firelanes in the end he had to sacrifice his combat fex to use it as cover for a stealer squad which was able to capture an objective whilst i held another with the 3rd unclaimed to draw, if i had had one more turn i would have killed that remaining squad with hots from an executioner, a standard russ and two chimeras. Also astropath did wonders, forcing the reroll for table edge resulted in 1 squad coming from my short edge, two others had to slog 36" to even get close.

*Cattle prods the friendly genesteal back into its cage.* Laughing Man Sounds like fun, but are you suggesting you stack the terrain against me? I'm afraid I must insist that the terrain be set up in such a way that both players agree it is balanced. Also, beware the lictor coming out of area terrain and assaulting on the turn he arrives, likely going for your command squad. Other than that I'd just have to rely on luck and the move through cover special rule.

A gaunt swarm is a more appealing approach. If you get that 'without number' upgrade then even Guard that go Punisher heavy will be hard pressed to deal with every squad.
The infiltrating Broodlord and 'stealers are scary. In 3 months Gaunts will probably be super cheap points-wise. Just wait and see.

I've got 32 gaunts and 18 hormagaunts as well, and 8 gargoyles, 3 carnifex, 7 warriors, and a winged hive tyrant...
but really, all stealers is just something fun and characterful that I'd really like to try.

The terrain was scatter terrain'd. I just got lucky and chose the best deployment quarter.

Read it again: He gives a single Re-Roll per Turn, not a +1. I'd ditch the Toxin Sacs, pick up five more Scuttling Stealers, and go to, say, 3x7 and 1x8 for the non-Carapace Troops Stealers. Probably also peel one Stealer off the BroodLord's Retinue, and use it to bump up the Troops Brood with Carapace. Flesh Hooks for the BroodLord and his Retinue would be quite nice as well.

In some circumstances, it can actually be better, since he can Re-Roll both Failed and Successful Rolls. Sometimes you want to hold back a Turn (Usually so your Opponent's Reserves can't jump your OutFlankers from behind), and the Lictor will let you do that, too.
