Hu, I'll give a try : fatigues : DA green then higlights scoprion green then finally badab black wash. Could be cool ^^ Armour plates and helmets : kemri brown then highligts Kemri bron and white then wash : badab black Weapons : chaos blach + drybrush BG metal then badab black wash. Details : using turquoise for a nice little line in the middle of the helmet. Skin tons will be a problem... but you can use green, and brown+ guess what ? Badab black wash to simulate camo creams...
Do I win a prize for my answers ?
Good painting.
Cheers Vince

well ur paints are green family so green is going to be your main color u paint round ( yes i know i pointed out the obves) what u painting cand or jungel Whats going to be ur back round and baseing for units. Red and green can work nice or end up like a xmass show. You may want to add some more colors like orkhide shade and or knarloc green they will help u find ur main color You have too many supporting colors, use one of the colors i said before and support with ur brighter or darker shades.

Do you feel you *HAVE* to use all the colors?
Exercising some self control and limiting your palate may be the key for you - what you have is enough for a decent paintjob for your IG (with the exception of needing some fleshtone), plus limiting yourself to only a few colors, drybrushing and a wash, you'll be done quicker and still have some respectable paintjobs.
Even the latest Golden Daemon winner started somewhere with their first ghads-awful paintjob army; practice, practice, practice and be patient with yourself; skill comes with effort and persistence, so don't beat yourself up over quality.
I'm sure all here can attest to the condition of some of their enemies (or own) figures rather "humble" appearance at one time or another - - and it never stopped any of us from playing.
So be encouraged and PAINT durn you!!

I second most of the posts above, don't get too carried away with using too many colours. 1 colour for fatigues (green prob the best), 1 for the armour plates (either brown or black), something for the rifles, and pouches/ammo packs and a skin colour.
assuming cadians
Green fatigues as mentioned above. paint dark green, highlight roughly with a lighter green, then wash over the top is the easiest. if you go lightly with the washes, you can avoid re highlighting. alternatively, paint dark green, wash, then add highlights. I personnally like to wash cloth in brown wash (i use dark green, borwn wash, highlight), rather than black, but if you don't want to get more paints, the black does look good.
armour. brown with highlights will look good and is easy. I have black for mine, as I like to paint the pouches and ammo packs, etc.. in brown. For mine, leave the black undercoat, and light drybrush of dark grey, then wash in badab black till the effect i want. the same would work for brown. I generally paint the helmets the same way.
pouches, boots, etc... brown, with a brown wash, highlight if required/wanted.
las guns, i dry brush the undercoat in grey like the armour, and pick out the details like the barrel, etc. in bolt gun metal, then wash the whole thing in baddab black. I have played around with more brass coloured guns which look cool too, especially on heavy weapons, so replace the bolt gun metal with tinbitz, wash in black, then dry brush in bolt gun metal.
u can just paint the entire lasgun boltgun metal and wash black. still looks good, and it how I paint my catachan ones.
skin. get the foundation skin colour, and ogryn flesh, it makes faces really easy.
Mistakes happen, especially wehen you are just starting out. try not to be too critical and keep going back to touch up if you go over the edges. it may make that 1 model look better, but takes a lot of time. I find that leaving the mistakes and moving on to the next model makes me more careful in the long run. and shows ur progression. of course glaring mistakes will anoy you, so it isn't a hard and fast rule.
Even getting basical colours on ur army will make it better than most u will find that are still part undercoated, etc... u will see ur painting improve with practice, the main thing is to not get bogged down, finish minis off and move on to new ones.
