I'm having trouble thinking of some good conversions to make some Servitors for my Techpriests. I really hate using duplicate models, so I'll only be getting 1 each of the official servitor packs, but I want to go ahead and field full servitor retinues for my Enginseers. Anyone have any good ideas? I wouldn't mind some counts-as-es, like Mechanicus Acolytes. All I really want is that they be more or less WYSIWYG- armored to a degree, and carrying something that would make them Strength 8- Lifting claws, hammers, driving a forklift, something like that.

Ok, here is my suggestion...
Take catachan legs and arms and attach them to the armored torso of a space marine (be sure to remove the space marine iconography leaving bare armor). Chopping the wrists off from those that have hands you can make some clamp style mechanical hands and other various tools works nicely. For added effect zombie heads and even skulls work very well for servitor heads. If you want you can add various hoses and the like from the back of the armor to the arms and whatnot. I will actually be doing what I have described here fairly soon for my techpriests and will post pics of examples.

Here are a few servitors I cobbled together from various bits, they're not that pretty but they might help give you some ideas.

I would not have thought of that. Looking at the thing, I think it might work for a gun servitor, or replace the arms to make a regular one. Interesting to say the least.

My servitor conversions were a bit different. I used the legs and waist of a space marine. Upper body of a catahan. 2 of them were shirtless and one had a wife beater shirt. One servitor has a heavy bolter as his right arm, and a SM arm for his left arm. The other 2 had the sentinel chainsaw as an arm and regular arms as their 2nd arm. Does the trick for me.

Ideas duly noted. Luckily I just came into possession of some Catachan parts. @ Ogryn Crazy: That was one of my first ideas, but they seem a little too... lively for servitors. Any ideas on how to make them look a litte more lobotomized? Maybe reposition the arms so they're at their sides... Also, the AT-43 stuff, I actually like these guys more than the big ones: I can't read French, are those sold separately?

You could hack some necron warriors into catachans.

You could hack some necron warriors into catachans. Damn. That's a sweet idea. I might try that someday.

I didnt want to spend money on Servitors so I simply took some plastic tubes and placed skull probes on them and proxied servitors, I was however thinking about maybe getting a SM Devistator Squad and maybe taking a Multi Melta or Heavy Bolter and gluing it to the sides of the skulls while placing some form of counter weight on the other side, but thats what I came up with ^_^

Servitors can't think. They don't get ideas.

Do Servitors dream of electric Emperors?
