If a tau squad fails a moral check and runs away do they automatically regroup if they have a bonding knife or do they still have to roll for leadership as the codex states only tht they can regroup if they have less the half strength squad

They do not auto regroup. It just lets them try after being reduced to under half strength.

Right, they can attempt to re-group but all other restrictions apply.

If shrouding counts as cover, then yes markerlights will reduce that.

Thought Shrouding acts as night fight rules.
If that is the case then the squad who is firing the marker light must first be able to see the target.
