Some more Grey Knights rumors.

Nice rumours. GK apothecaries is no biggie as fluffwise the GK have chaplains, captains and probably librarians, too. Rules wise it's a biggie, granting FNP to any squads within half meltagun range, but depends if they're command squad apocs, like the SM codex or an elite slot for up to 3, like the BA codex.
Stern is dead? Tycho is as well, but you can still play him 'historically'.

Shame about Stern, I like him as a chara. Also, that FnP is for the squad, the Null Rod is the area effect (if I'm reading that right). Still, if I'm dumping thta many points on a GK squad, I think I'd like to give them FnP...

When did Stern die in the fluff? Did I miss an Inquisitorial memo?

Ephrael Stern didn't die. Oh wait you mean the GK one. Yeah, they re-use surnames like that

Durr, that's why I said "they reuse surnames like that".
And it's not really a good surname. Sounds too cliched.

I wouldn't look to see a codex released in december. While it makes sense in the business world to release something that close to X-mas to bolster sales, GW rarely releases codex during this period of time. I'll put my money down for after Jan 1.
I would have much rather seen SoB instead of Grey knights. Just what we need is another Flavor of the month Marine book.

Pfft, like I care what you think on the subject of what's cool. You wrote the Mercenaries, one of the most laughable pieces of fanfictions on this site.

Play nice, both of you.
Or I start editing things.
@staff: I agee, I would rather see plastic Sisters first as well, but if they do as good a job on the Grey Knight minis as they did on the Sang Guard (Sans nipples, of course), I think it might be worth it...

Yes, power nipples. They might just poke an enemies eye out.
I have high hopes for the new GK mini's, because to be honest, the current GK termies are my favorite models in the entire range.

Reds I hope they don't put the nipples on the sister power armor. I mean like wouldn't that just be against their "Family store" policy?? Edit: Yeah I said that..

So what, you dont want to have a whole bunch of fan service minis running around? Considering they're decked out in "S&M Power Armour", I'd say we're already dangerously close to that point. Reds

I seriously doubt they will release four armies (three of which need a lot of new plastic kits and the other could definitely benefit from some) back to back in the span of 4-5 months. So far 40K stuff have been staggered to one major release about every 3 months, so take out the Black Templar and the list is probably probably closer to the mark. Imperial Guard - May 2009 Space Wolves - October 2009 Tyranids - January 2010 Blood Angels - April 2010 Spearhead - June 2010 Dark Eldar - probably October 2010 to make some room for fantasy Grey Knights - December/January 2010-11 Necrons - March/April 2010 The additional rumors are interesting. The only dread-specific drop pod I'm aware of are the Imperial Armor ones that allow assaulting after deep striking. That would certainly be awesome. er... if it's going to be a "Grey Knights" Codex (and eventually SoB codex and maybe even Deathwatch codex), I'd still use my Witch/Daemon Hunters codexes - different codexes to the new ones you see... I can back this (rather odd) claim up with a viable argument if need be... In friendly games you can do whatever you want, but this won't fly in tournaments.

I gave a rough timetable, not an exact one.
Also, current rumors is that it'll be Grey Knights then Dark Eldar, because of something with Dark Eldar that made them push it back (Again), to noone's surprise.

Well, regardless of the order of those two books (I'll gladly take the GK first), I don't think we'll be seeing Templar for at least another year. We've heard more rumblings for Sisters than DA/BT.

I'm happy for there to be Grey Knights and Sisters coming out in their own codexes (along with all the other stuff - especially DE ) but, going on the presumption/rumours that there'll be no Inquisition included in the books, what do we think might happen regarding Inquisitors? A Codex "Inquisition" seems unlikely, and I think GW have abandoned the "mini codexes" (like the old codex Assassins), WD articles also seem unlikely, so... what does that leave for the Inquisition? Surely they won't simply abandon them? (even GW wouldn't be that... annoying... would they?)

A few ideas based off of the current circulating rumors, regarding the Inquisition only.
1: Codex: Inquisition will come out, possibly with deathwatch in it. I don't see this as likely, but several people disagree with me there.
2: A White Dwarf supplement will have Inquisition rules. Seems most likely to me, but then many feel GW is moving far away from the White Dwarf supplements.
3: A supplemental Allies book, which details what each army can ally in (Both Imperial and Xeno), with details on the Inquisition, Harlequins, Ork Mercenaries, Kroot Mercenaries, Eldar Pirates, etc. The most recent rumor, based off of what a certain high level GW employee has said. It was cryptic, though.

Adding an Elite or HQ entry for inquisitors in the Grey Knights or Sisters of Battle codex surely isn't totally out of the question.
Seems like that would be the easiest way to do it.
The models are already tied to those ranges anyway.

The Inquisition isn't likely to remain tied to the Sisters or Grey Knights codices and not suck. It's like adding a Space Marine Captain to the Imperial Guard codex, and his rules only effect Space Marines too. He just isn't going to cut it compared to a CCS or even Lord Commissar.

I think they'd fit in just fine with a re-write, just make them an extra rather than the focus of the book, something for people to play with should they so choose.
One unit would be enough, probably an alternate HQ choice with the abilty to take a large mob of henchmen.

And I think they'd be stupid no matter what, if they were in my Sisters codex where they don't belong.
