Well, a lot of armies have had large hulking monsters for a while now.
And besides, Chaos is ever changing, so a hulking mutant beast that's like a Tuskgor could pop up out of nowhere.

Vampires had that before in a less critical form... called Clan Strigoi Varghulfs are just a bit more feral than the average Strigoi vampire. And Chaos... is well Chaos

I got a hold of the new vampires book. I like the old one more. I now have 9 unusable vampires. (had multiple for each bloodline) GW does is again.

You can still use all your old Vampires. I only use Lhamians and female vampires for mine...

All the new army books have gone supernova on monsters.
Skaven book - Hell Pit Abomination (rare choice) Beastmen book - Taurox the Brass Bull (Lord), Jabberslythe, Cygor and Ghorgon (all rare choice large monsters)
All of them have scary stats and/or special rules, none have models. Still a pro sculptor could have a field day with the new books. Expect more - Tomb Kings, Ogre Kingdoms and Bretonnia are due for a re-vamp. Watch this space..

*execting more* *shudders* I can see it now
A long line of assistants carry bags of money to a pool and toss them in, in the pool flots Mark Wells (CEO of GW). A harried modler comes to the edge of the pool: "sir can we publish the new ogre's book, we added more monsters, many more" "More! lots of big plastic monsters, lots of money" Mark Wells strokes a gold bar as it flots past A writer comes over: "we have finished the bretonnia book, it carries forward all the principles we used in the old book, it is a masterp-" "anything new and shiny?" "umm... no, just a continuation of the basic features that made bretonnia popular" "you need somthing shiny and new or the ten-year-olds won't beg their parents for it, how about new monsters" "monsters?" "yes, and to save space take out heraldry, knights don't need heraldry" "but sir! knights without heraldry wouldld be like vampires without bloodlines... oww, nevermind" writer picks up handly close-to-hand tomb stone and starts chisiling R.I.P "Everyone! Everyone stop! I have a great idea: instead of selling ten guardsmen for $35 we can send 5 for $20, no $25"
*inquisition arrive to kill twitch's sarcasm*

I;m wondering what Bretonnian monsters there will be. The Reliquary Grail could get plasticized.
