Chapter 1: Introduction This rant is somewhat outdated. Please don't pay it mind, I'm just saving it because it WAS an original part of the project way back when I started it, over a year ago on the Bolter and Chainsword. And it does give a good idea on my intent, even if it is outdated somewhat. Questions about my intent can be answered, but please read through the thread in case I've already answered them. Because of this, I've also moved the index above the rant, for ease of use. Skip over it at your leisure.INDEXChapter 1: Introduction (This Post) Chapter 2: Special Rules (Link)Chapter 3: Special Wargear (Link)Chapter 4: HQ Choices (Link)Chapter 5: Elite Choices (Link)Chapter 6: Troops Choices (Link)Chapter 7: Fast Attack Choices (Link)Chapter 8: Heavy Support Choices and Transports (Link)Chapter 9: Units and Rules Under Discussion (Link)Chapter 10: Planetstrike, Cities of Death, Apocalypse (Link) THINGS NOT TO ARGUE ABOUT: Some subjects are continually brought up. And they've been discussed to death, and subsequently been made completely and absolutely final . These units and concepts will never be changed. Ever. Don't even bother bringing them up. Hopefully people will become mature and this list won't get too long. - The Leman Russ Vengeance from a fluff perspective (balance issues are fine)
- Sisters having units which are I4
Because I have found myself with too much time on my hands, I decided to try and give my attention somewhere else; somewhere that, though not necessarilly constructive, will at least keep my mind active and possibly produce some interesting results. Ergo, I'm working on adapting the army lists of second edition C:SoB and third edition C:WH into a fifth edition army, using C:SM and C:IG as bases while keeping the unique feel of the Sisters of Battle. This is mostly a mental excercize-- so keep that in mind when I say comments are welcome so long as they are aimed at being constructive and friendly instead of sarcastic, flaming, trolling, or otherwise obnoxious, in which case I will immediently PM a mod a report to the mods. So please, think before you post, as I will attempt to do, and save the mods the trouble yeah? Also, I don't really expect anyone to use this or anything to come out of it, as I said it is merely something I am doing for the sake of doing. Where was I? Oh, right. C:Adepta Sorortias. I changed the name because of the unfortunate implications of "C:SoB", which for any intelligent adult fluent in English should be rather obvious and thus I should have no need to elaborate on this further. Mind you, I have to borrow a copy of C:SoB because I simply do not have the money to purchase something which I am unable to use in the current edition; combine this with the fact that second edition often functioned remarkably differently than fifth and hopefully you will understand that although I will be doing my best to include information and concepts from both codices, I will be focusing mostly on updating the more recent vision of them, with some extra input from the concepts in the second edition. If I HAVE missed something you think woudl be interesting to add in, please do so-- I appreciate constructive comments such as that, and may in fact give you an e-cookie of sorts. Variety and quantity determined by my mood and the tone of the contribution. Furthermore, some things I feel need to be changed simply for the sake of keeping things from becoming stupid if taken to extremes, which I should note with much dismay that GW has done quite recently with Commander Chenkov in fifth edition C:IG, but this is still something I'd like to avoid regardless Also note that the fluff regarding the Sisters of battle is somewhat incomplete, I will be filling in the holes with what I envision should be there in the most ideal form (which is to say, ideal to me, not necessarilly you, the reader). With that in mind, because this would be effectively a fantasy new codex, those things which change the fluff-- which I will try and keep to a minimum!-- essentially represent retcons and other alterations, which yes, GW does every single edition to every single army in some small way or other. For those who are wondering where the Inquisition is in this thread; they aren't. This is because I do not like the concept of the Inquisition as an army; they should not have armies, but instead use their bodyguards (ISTs, retinue) combined with other peopels' armies (IE, Sisters, Grey Knights, Deathwatch, Guard, Astartes, and so on) depending on the situation and the resources at hand. Ergo, this codex is written based on the unwritten (with the exception of this sentence) assumption that a supplemental codex or minidex is produced that allows Inquisition players to do exactly this. Furthermore, yes, I am intending to make them better than they are now in C:WH. Take no surprise to this, as this is what almost all fifth edition codices are going to do in comparison to the last edition. It is referred to as "codex creep". I will do my best to reign in this creep, but I will not keep it held in its stables entirelly, so to speak. A good number of units in C:WH are weak at best, and at least one is so useless that I am more likely than not going to drasticly redesign it. I doubt many Sisters players need to be told which one that is, but regardless, all units are going to be changed at least somewhat. Some units are going to be added in (from White Dwarf, from C:SoB, and from my own immagination, or a combination of all three!), but none aside from Inquisitorial units (inquisitors, assassins, stormtroopers) are actually going to be taken out from the C:WH version. For many of these ideas, I give credit to the kind and forgiving folk in 7eal's Inquisition project, whom have given me a berth of ideas, many of which they probably didn't even realize they gave them to me). Other Sororitas players I've met have given me other ideas, forming in my (often hostile and aggressive) mind my own hopefully uniqaue vision of this wonderful faction which presents to me a shining light (bright enough to burn those that recklessly get too close to it) in the grim and dark universe of Warhammer 40,000. For those of you that I have not bored away with my monotonous monologue, welcome to my idealized vision of Fifth Edition Codex: Adepta Soriritas. When the various posts are finished, I will link to them in this post using the index below. Aside from fluff sections for the individual entries which will generally give the idea for flavor of that particular unit, this thread is not intended to create fluff in that particular manner-- while I do occasionally style myself as a somewhat creative writer, I have neither the delusions nor desire that would cause me to wish to torment (most of) you with my literary "talents", or lack thereof. Comments in italics are essentially explainations of my decisions. I have two units completed which I will be posting shortly.

Chapter 2: Special Rules
Adepta Sororitas: All squads with the Adepta Sororitas special rule are Faithful, and are effected by the Shield of Faith. Furthermore, they have Favored Enemy: Psyker. Book of Saints: All infantry squad leaders in this codex carry some form of the Book of Saints, albeit usually a smaller and condensed version. The teachings of this book, and indeed its very presence, reminds them of their duty to the Emperor. As such, these models use their unmodified leadership values for morale and pinning tests, and convey this effect to their squad. The sole exception to this are the Sisters Repentia, who have a different rule in place of this. If the squad leader is killed, the squad loses this effect. Divine Charisma: All HQ units are also effected by the Book of Saints, with the following change: All friendly models within 6" may use the model's unmodified leadership checks for both morale and pinning tests. Ecclesiarchal Servant: Units with the Ecclesiarchal Servant special rule are Faithful, and have the "In His Name!" special rule. In His Name!: If an Ecclesiarchal Servant charges, then it re-rolls any to-wound rolls it makes during that round's assault phase. This rule confers over to any squad joined by a model with the Ecclesiarchal Servant special rule. Faithful: All squads with the Faithful special rule may use Acts of Faith as described below. Adepta Sororitas squads joined by a non-Adepta Sororitas independent character may not use Acts of Faith, unless that Independent Character has the Faithful rule. Adepta Sororitas independent Characters joined with units lacking the Adepta Sororitas special rule may not use Acts of Faith unless that unit has the Faithful rule. Martyrdom is removed, because it encouraged people to kill off their HQs and squad leaders to gain faith points. Instead, Acts of Faith are made generally easier to pass and so Acts of Faith will be scarcer, but more reliable. Acts of Faith: The Acts of Faith are described in the exact procedure they should be performed in. Divine Guidance--Announce which squad is attempting this Act of Faith at the beginning of the shooting or assault phase. --Make test of Faith --If passed, apply this rule to that squad for the duration of that phase: ----To-Wound or Penetration rolls of 6 cause the shot/attack to become AP1 and wound regardless of toughness. Hand of the Emperor--Announce which squad is attempting this Act of Faith at the beginning of the assault phase. --Make test of Faith --If passed, apply this rule to that squad for the duration of that phase: ----Attacks made by the squad members are done at Initiative 1, and are increased by +2 Strength. --Not compatible with The Passion. Light of the Emperor--Announce which squad is attempting this Act of Faith at the beginning of the turn. --Make test of Faith --If passed, apply this rule to that squad for the duration of the turn: ----Squad is fearless and may regroup at will. The Passion--Announce which squad is attempting this Act of Faith at the beginning of the assault phase. --Make test of Faith --If passed, apply this rule to that squad for the duration of that phase: ----Squad attacks at +2 initiative and gains +1 attack. --Not compatible with Hand of the Emperor. Spirit of the Martyr--Announce which squad is attempting this Act of Faith at the beginning of the phase. --Make test of Faith --If passed, apply this rule to that squad for the duration of that phase: ----Squad gains an invulnerable save equal to its majority armor save. Faith Points: Unless otherwise noted in its entry, each unit with the Faithful rule grants one Faith Point. The total number of Faith points that an army has is calculated at the beginning of the battle. Faith Points are expended by making Tests of Faith (regardless of the result). Tests of Faith: Make an unmodified leadership check at the highest unmodified value of any model in the squad. Regardless of the Test of Faith's outcome, the Faith Point is expended. and thus at the end of the Test of Faith, remove one Faith Point counter. This rule is created because some pieces of wargear will inevitably effect it, despite it being a simple leadership check. Shield of Faith: If a psychic power is used on a unit with the Faithful special rule, or includes the Faithful unit in its area of effect, roll D6. On a 5+, it is nullified and effects no models in its area of effect. If multiple Faithful models are in its area of effect, roll only once to determine if the power effects them or not. If the Psychic Power would not effect the Faithful unit, then it is not nullified (IE, a power directed only at psykers, but including a model which is Faithful but not a psyker, does not get nullified). Furthermore, Force Weapons are instead treated as simple power weapons against models with this rule. Holy Rage: Counts as having both the Rage and Fleet special rules.

Chapter 3: Wargear Because the Adepta Sororitas use Imperial wargear, I will simply mention the more common ones here, as it would be against the rule for me to actually post them. I doubt many on these forums would not know what these wargears do. Similarly, wargears unchanged from C:WH will also have no explanation, so that I can avoid getting in trouble. Those pieces of wargear which do not have an explanation use the latest rules from C:SM, C;IG, or C:WH, whichever one has a more recent explanation of its effects, If I change it, assume the changes are unique to this codex and represent special and specific Adepta Sororitas or Ecclesiarchal equipment.Standard Infantry Wargear- Bolter
- Bolt Pistol
- Carapace Armor
- Combiflamer
- Combimeltagun
- Combiplasmagun
- Close Combat Weapon
- Flamer
- Heavy Bolter
- Heavy Flamer
- Laspistol
- Lasgun
- Meltagun
- Multimelta
- Plasmagun
- Power Armor
- Power Weapon
- Storm Bolter
- Thunder Hammer
Standard Vehicle Wargear- Extra Armour
- Heavy Bolter
- Heavy Flamer
- Multilaser
- Multimelta
- Pintle-Mounted Storm Bolter
- Searchlights
- Smoke Launchers
- Storm Bolter
Special Infantry WargearBlessed Weapon Her weapon shone like a beacon in the darkness of battle. With each heretic it struck down it somehow became brighter, as if infuriated at the heretical fiends for daring to bleed on it, as if they were unworthy of even that much. Even in times of peace it was a work of art, a weapon carried with both honor and pride by those whom the Emperor have gifted them with, for each one is truly unique, and it is said that the Emperor gifts the Heroines with weapons befitting their personality. Blessed Weapons come in two types, Sanctified Swords and Blessed Blades, depending on their size. Generally, the shorter version is a sword of remarkable quality, but either kind of weapon may fall under a wide range of weapon types-- axes, maces, hammers, flails, and so on. What they all have in common is that they tend to glow white with the Emperor's light, and are all power weapons of great strength. - Sanctified Swords: Master-crafted power weapon that adds +2 to strength. 30 points
- Blessed Blades: 2-handed Master-crafted power weapon that doubles strength. 35 points
Brazier of Holy Fire As C:WH Cloak of St. Aspira As C:WH Combi-Stake Launcher As C:WH Eviscerator As C:WH Excrutiator If a model with an Excrutiator (or the squad it has joined) removes the last wound from a psyker or a unit containing a psyker, add one more kill point than normal for defeating that unit. Inferno Pistol As C:WH Mantle of Ophelia As C:WH Neural Whips As C:WH Power Stake A holy spear of adamantium, the Power Stake is equipped with a psycho-reactive flamer hidden just inside the tip, so that when it penetrates a Psyker, the flamer activates and completely immolates the target from the inside out in blessed flames. Two-handed weapon. At the beginning of the assault, the player chooses wether the weapon will ignore normal saves or invulnerable saves. If a Psyker fails its save against a wound caused by the Power Stake, roll a D6. On a 3+, the psyker model is removed from the game regardless of how many wounds it still has remaining. For the purpose of this weapon, all Daemons are considered psykers. Praesidium Protectiva Takes up one hand. Arants +1 attack in an assault and a 4++ save. This combines the old storm shield with the rosarius. Stake Launcher As C:WH's Combi-stake, without the One-Shot-Only rule. Twin Masterwork Bolt Pistols: Its twin shared its beauty-- elegant carvings with intricate gilding depicted the saints and prayers to the Emperor were etched carefully into the metal. The weapons were of such high quality that they likely belonged in a museum or shrine-- but what better shrine can they have than the shrine of battle made in the Emperor's name? Heroines that spend a lot of time with Seraphim tend to adopt their chosen charges' weapons as their own. These weapons are invariably extremely high quality, both as shooting weapons and in close combat with their bladed attachments. In the shooting phase, counts as having the following stats: R12", S4 AP5, Assault 2 Pistol, Twin-Linked. In the assault phase, counts as having two master-crafted close combat weapons. Marksman Autorifles "Waste not what the Emperor provides. You will always have more enemies than ammunition." Novitiates have not yet earned their expensive power armor and bolter, and thus instead use carapace and these specially made autorifles, designed to have similar weight to a bolter rifle so that when the time comes the Novitiates are able to make the switch without too much trouble. R30", S3 AP6, Heavy 1 Sniper R24", S3 AP6 Rapid Fire Inferno Rounds From a young age, Sororitas Novitiates are trained to believe that fire purges the soul of those whom die from it. It is little surprise that this belief is enhanced during their first battles as Novitiates, armed with inferno slugs that spread fire over their victims upon impact. R12", S3 AP5, Assault 2, Ignores Cover Saves Accurized Bolter One shot, one kill. --creed of the sniper R36", S4 AP5, Heavy 1 Sniper, Pinning -or- R24", S4 AP5, Rapid Fire Ophelia Pattern Heavy Bolter The most frightening enemy is one that kills without being seen. With this blessed bolter, I shall deliver unseen death to my enemies, and fear to those whom are next to die. --Oath of the Vindictor R48", S6 AP4, Heavy 1 Sniper, Pinning Crusader Sword and Shield The Crusader Sword counts as a power weapoin which grants +1 to strength The Crusader Shield grants a 4++ invulnerable save and counts as an extra close combat weapon. Power Spear Spears have always been symbols of war. They serve no purpose but killing, be it to hunt animals... or hunt men as if they were animals. And furthermore, spears may also carry banners as well, making them quite suitable for commanders. With the added effect of a power field, the simple spear can be turned into a devastating weapon able to keep enemies at bay with deadly thrusts and wide sweeps, and kill an enemy before they can get close enough to strike back. -- Polanis Orius, "Blessed Equipment of the Sisterhood" Two-handed power weapon. Grants +1 to strength in close combat. The user strikes first upon receiving a charge. Against other units which always strike first, this model strikes at the same time as them. Sarissa Attachment to bolters and combi-bolters. Grants re-rolls to wound. Exorcist Missile Launcher R48", S8, AP1, Heavy 2d3 Roll a 6-sided die. 1-2: 2 shots, 3-4: 4 shots, 5-6: 6 shots. Holy Icon They need only look to the Emperor's Symbol upon our tanks to find the courage needed to smite the Heretics. --Tank Commander Alrauna of the Order of the Amber Scorpion +10 points, vehicle only Allows friendly units within 6" to re-roll failed leadership checks. Pintle-Mounted Flamer A model with this wargear may fire a flamer template (using the standard Flamer stats) with the template touching the base of the vehicle. Laud Hailers A spiritu dominatus, domine, libra nos, From the lighting and the tempest, Our Emperor, deliver us. From plague, temptation and war, Our Emperor, deliver us, From the scourge of the Kraken, Our Emperor, deliver us. From the blasphemy of the Fallen, Our Emperor, deliver us, From the begetting of daemons, Our Emperor, deliver us, From the curse of the mutant, Our Emperor, deliver us, A morte perpetua, Domine, libra nos. That thou wouldst bring them only death, That thou shouldst spare none, That thou shouldst pardon none; We beseech the, destroy them. -- the Fede Imperialis Subtracts 1 from the leadership value of all enemy units within 6" of the vehicle. Multiple Laud Hailers are not cumulative. This is especially effective during tank shock, where the effect is -2 instead. "Pipes" Portable Exorcist Launchers A mortar-like construction similar to the organ pipes of the Exorcist Missile Launcher, the Portable Exorcist Launcher-- referred to as Exorcist Pipes (or just Pipes for short) by those that carry them-- these launchers use the same payload as the venerable relics from which they take their name. The method of delivery, however, is different-- the missiles are launched up into the air like a mortar and then home in on the target using an infrared spotting device held by the operator. This often allows the user to attempt to direct the missile towards a weak spot in the armor, which they will readilly exploit. Due to the lack of a sizeable blast radius like a true mortar, however, the "pipe-carriers" refuse to fire without using this holy targeting system-- barring amazing luck, that would be a waste of ammunition! R48", S8 AP1, Heavy 1, Anti-Tank Targeting Anti-Tank Targeting: A to-hit roll of 6 allows the penetration roll to be made against side armor instead of frontal armor. "Retribution" pattern Boltcannons A multi-barreled variety of heavy bolter, the Boltcannon fires more devastating rounds at a higher rate of fire. The weapon is large enough that it requires two power armored Sororitas to man it, and indeed without power armor it would require a vehicle mount. R36", S7 AP4, Heavy 4, Unwieldly Unwieldly: Takes up two heavy weapon slots, must be operated by two squad members (the second member may not fire that round) Vengeance Cannon The infantry of the Holy Sisterhood smite our enemies with cleansing fire. We smite our enemies with purging melta. --Tank Commander Alrauna of the Order of the Amber Scorpion R72", S8 AP1, Ordinance 1, Small Blast When rolling the scatter dice, a direct hit applies 2d6 penetration.

Chapter 4: HQ Choices
HQAdepta Sororitas HeroineA thousand Sisters stood in group of ten, clean ranks all of them, in four rows of five, forming a perfect square. At the head of them was a woman in magnificently crafted powered armor, with a velvet cloak and a book in her hand. Citing from it, she spoke calmly into her vox in a voice that could rouse entire worlds to her side: "The Emperor is our Father and Guardian; But we, too, must Guard the Emperor. For he has sacrificed much..." As the sermon finished, she had no doubt that her Sisters were resolved to win this fight more than they had ever been in their entire lives. And so she drew her sword, and gave the order to march on to battle, be it doom or glory. HQAngelis ImperialWhile technically a new class of combat leader for the Adepta Sororitas, the Angelis Imperial is simply the most veteran Sister Superior present when there are no Adepta Sororitas Heroines to lead the force. This class of leader existed before the Saint Helena Reformation, but was given an official title and authority by the Reformation-- a Sister Superior is named Angelis Imperial and given a small force of Sororitas to deal with minor threats, run patrols, and so on. These are often Palatines in training, although some decline the opportunity to rise in the ranks and instead end up favoring the smaller and more tactical deployments that they are used to. HQPriestess of the MachineA relatively new rank created during the Saint Helena Reformation, the formation of the Priestesses of the Machine was part of a bargain struck between Helena and the Adeptus Mechanicus. The most mechanically gifted Sororitas of the Order is indoctrinated in the Machine Cult and then trained in its secret methods of maintenance and repair. A few more radical Inquisitors of the Ordo Hereticus objected to this, as they feared that the Mechanicus would use these Priestesses to try and reduce the level of suspicion the Sororitas have towards the Machine Cult-- whether or not these objections have any ground to stand upon remains to be seen. Chapter 5: Elites Choices
ElitesCelestian SquadCelestians have long been the bodyguards of the heroines of the Adepta Sororitas, refining their holy hatred of the mutant, the heretic, and the alien so that it becomes so focused and strong that they are able to strike all opponents with preternatural ease and skill. The Saint Helena Reformation did not change this, indeed, it encouraged it-- No longer issued merely bolters, Celestians are now equipped for precisely that purpose. The elites of the Adepta Sororitas are now even moreso a force to be reckoned with.

Celestian Superior4433142(3)103+

Sister Celestial4433141(2)103+

Type | Composition | Wargear | Special Rules | Transport Options |

Holy Hatred Hatred, unrefined, leads to corruption. One must purify their hatred, cleanse it, direct it. Use it. Look to the Celestians, let their divinely pure hatred of the enemies of the Emperor guide your own training. Know that not a single Celestian has fallen from grace, not a single Celestian has wavered in her duty. They are a shining light of purity and devotion to which all of us should aspire. --Living Saint Helena Training intensified by their holy hatred of all enemies of the Emperor, Celestians are the most skilled combatants of the human race, with only the Astartes veterans surpassing them. They will always hit on a 3+ in close combat, unless they could do better. Against Independant characfers, this is reduced to always hitting on a 5+ due to their unique fighting styles, unless the Celestians would normally hit on a lower roll.
0-1 ElitesSisters RepentiaMany members of the Sisters Repentia feared that, during the Saint Helena Reformation, their organization would be abolished entirelly. Instead, however, Saint Helena embraced them, and accepted them within the Sororitas, so that they were no longer outcasts. While they still push themselves in the name of the Emperor, at the very least they now are trained in such a way that they can keep themselves in prayer until the rhino doors open, ready for them to charge out and face their enemy-- much to the joy of any tactician and the bane of any enemy of Man.

Repentia Mistress443314(5)2(3)103+/5++

Sister Repentia443314(1)17-/5++

Type | Composition | Wargear | Special Rules | Transport Options |

*OIDDDE: Only In Death Does Duty End If I must die, I will welcome death like an old friend, and wrap my arms around it. --Anonymous Sister Repentia The Sisters Repentia are filled with a burning desire to redeem themselves for their sins, be they actual or merely perceived. So great is this desire that they are considered fearless in close combat. Furthermore, if they fail a morale or pinning check in the shooting phase, they move forward d6" instead of falling back or going to ground. This is only done once per turn. Furthermore, Sisters Repentia are faithful, but may not use Acts of Faith. Their faith manifests instead in their ability to shrug off the most grievous of wounds (their save is invulnerable, and they have Feel No Pain). Repentia Mistress: As long as the Repentia Mistress has not been removed as a casualty, this squad may assault on the same turn it disembarked regardless of how far the transport has moved (unless it deep striked turn). If the transport has moved, the squad is treated as having Run that turn, and so they are only able to make a 6" assault move. Cult of the Repentia: The Repentia Cult is a rare cult, much like the Nightflame cult. Therefor, Repentia have the following restrictions: Normal games: 0-1 Planetstrike: 0-2 Apocalypse: No limit
ElitesVindictor SquadA small number of Novitiates find themselves unable to properly adapt to the shorter ranged fighting style of the common bolter. These Sororitas are gathered under the wing of a veteran and trained as Vindictors, deliverers of the Emperor's justice from afar. Using specially callibrated and expertly crafted bolters, these Sisters continue the work they started as Novitiates-- but with far more skill and power.

Vindictor Veteran Superior3433132103+

Sister Vindictor343313193+

[ Type | Composition | Wargear | Special Rules | Transport Options |

Chapter 6: Troops Choices
TroopsBattle Sister SquadThe basic Battle Sister Squad emerged from the Saint Helena Reformation relatively unchanged, and the ranks of Sororitas in Power Armor are still some of the most feared sights that the enemies of the Imperium of Man will ever see. The main difference is that the Sororitas now make use of regular bolt pistols and frag grenades so that they might close ranks with the enemy faster-- something which is hard to do while firing a full bolt rifle. The Battle Sister Squad is the main rank and file of the Adepta Sororitas, and with rare exceptions all Sororitas Novitiates eventually become one of these holy warriors of the Emperor. Chapter 7: Fast Attack Choices
Fast AttackConflagrator Light TankA modification to the Immolator chassis, thinly disguised as a new STC, the Conflagrator Light Tank has caused ripples in the already cold relations between the Ecclesiarchy and the Mechanicus, and the latter is still officially testing the new design. One of the first tests of the capabilities of the Priestesses of the Machine, this tank is slowly becoming more and more common amongst Sisters for its powerful infantry support capabilities and the ability to easily keep up with any infantry advance, whether mechanized or on foot. Fast AttackCult of the Blazing SunConsidered somewhat degenerate by the common Sister, the rough and brutal Sisters of the Blazing Sun are nonetheless utterly fanatical. They desire to get into combat as fast as possible and rip their enemies apart with their twin blades, seeing the sword as a holy weapon of the Emperor. To accommodate this, they have taken up armored motorcycles, allowing them to charge into combat right smack into the enemy line so that they can start cutting into their opponents.
The Sisters of the Blazing Sun do not have the refined faith of their foot-slogging Sisters, rather, they are simple and brutal in their message. This is admirable-- they never question their faith-- but at the same time, the more intellectual Sororitas question whether or not they truly understand what it means to be faithful.

Blazing Sun Superior4433(4)142(3)103+

Blazing Sun Sister4433(4)141(2)103+

Type | Composition | Wargear | Special Rules |

- Brazier of Holy Flame: +10 pts
- Eviscerator: +25 pts
- Power Spear +15 pts
- Power Weapon: +10 pts
- Twin Master-Crafted Bolt Pistols: +15 pts
Blazing Sun Bikes Adorned with symbols of religious zeal and righteous wrath, these bikes are consecrated and held dear to the Sister who rides them, each one becoming as a temple to her-- and nothing motivates a Sister more than fighting from within her own temple! See the Bikes section of the rulebook. Blazing Sun Bikes are equipped with a storm bolter and grant +1 toughness, as well as extra movement. Unrelenting Zeal Once a unit of Adepta Sororitas has entered close combat, the Sisters of the Blazing Sun cannot resist their desire to enter combat as well. If an Adepta Sororitas unit is assaulted or assaults an enemy unit, the Sisters of the Blazing Sun count as having Holy Rage. Cult of the Blazing Sun The Cult of the Blazing Sun has the following limitations: Normal games: 0-1 Other games: 0-2 Apocalypse games: Unlimited *other games includes planetstrike and cities of death
Fast AttackDominions SquadThe Sisters Dominion were, at one point, simply an organization of Sisters whom were issued a large number of lighter special weapons such as flamers or meltaguns. After the Saint Helena Reformations in late M40, however, the Dominions were instead trained as scouts and flanking troops, riding ahead of the battle to scout enemy positions, or using swift movements to attack from the side or rear of an enemy formation while the main force attacked from the front. They still carry their special weapons with pride, but now fight with a renewed purpose.

Dominions Veteran4433132(3)93+

Sister Dominion343313183+

Type | Composition | Wargear | Special Rules | Transport Options |

Fast AttackSeraphim SquadThe Sisters Seraphim have always been holy symbols of the Emperor's light, and the Saint Helena Reformation only reinforced this. Many of the most veteran Seraphim are promoted to Palatine or Canoness, providing fresh and skilled new Heroines to lead the Sisterhood. The Seraphim are specially trained in a unique martial arts, utilizing jump packs and twin bolt pistols as well as other troops might use a chainsword and pistol-- Firing a fusilade of bolts, flying in to strike hard, falling back, and then doing it again, and again, and again. The Seraphim's special martial arts prevents any foe from truelly tying them down, a skill used to great effect by the Heroines that lead them.

Seraphim Veteran4433142(3)103+

Sister Seraphim4433141(2)93+

Type | Composition | Wargear | Special Rules |

The Seraphim Veteran may only have two weapons. Twin Weapons: Counts as having two close combat weapons, and thus grants +1 attack in close combat. In the shooting phase the twin weapons use the following stats: - Twin Bolt Pistols: Twin-linked Bolt Pistol
- Twin Hand Flamers: Flamer
- Twin Inferno Pistols: Twin-linked Inferno Pistol
Angelic Visage: The flight of the Seraphim is both awe-inspiring and graceful-- and for the enemies of the Imperium, deadly. All friendly models within 6" of a member of the Seraphim Squad fight as if they were I4, unless they would otherwise be higher. This does not effect those under the effect of weapons which change initiative, such as Eviscerators or Neural Whips. Sororitas Jump Packs Counts as Jump Infantry, and may be held in reserve to arrive as deep striking. Does not need to pass an Initiative test to make a Hit and Run move.

Chapter 8: Heavy Support Choices and Transports
Heavy SupportExorcist Tank HunterExorcist tanks are highly treasured relics, based on a design so secretive that the Adeptus Mechanicus personel assigned to service them often themselves don't understand how exactly they work. Temperamental machines, they nonetheless are highly deadly, wiping out entire squadrons of tanks in a single salvo of high-powered missiles.

Exorcist Tank4131110

Type | Composition | Wargear | Special Rules |

- Pintle-mounted Storm Bolter: +10 pts
Exorcist Mini-Launcher Sponsons A fairly recent addition, Exorcist Mini-Launchers are devices which fire an additional Exorcist Missile at the target upon firing. They were developed as add-ons to ensure the Exorcist remains a reliable weapon in all conditions despite its tempermental nature. When rolling to determine the number of shots fired by the Exorcist Missile Launcher, add +2 to the result.
Heavy SupportVengeance Pattern Leman RussAs time wore on, the armies of the Sororitas found themselves in need of a heavy mobile bastion from which they could lead their charges. The Land Raiders were restricted to the Astartes and Inqusition due to the Emperor's decree, and so the Sororitas looked instead to the Leman Russ. Secret deals between the Ecclesiarchy and the Adeptus Mechanicus allowed the Sororitas to test out this new pattern of the Guard's reliable main battletank-- the Leman Russ Vengeance. The Mechanicus, thus far, has been quite pleased with both the performance of the Vengeance and the dutiful maintenance the faithful Sororitas eagerly perform, considering this tank a holy gift from the Emperor Himself. They see far more than what the mortal eye sees; it is said that to a psyker, the visage of a Penitent Engine is a beacon for the divine wrath of the Emperor Himself. -- Confessor Hugh Emerson All psykers present within 6" of a Penitent Engine at the beginning of each turn must pass a leadership test or fall back. Rampage Watching a Penitent Engine amidst a group of heretics is soothing to the soul. A red mist mixes with the smoke of burning flesh and the screams of the dying and damned, as they are all sent to meet the Emperor. -- Cardinal Tarlior Vange The Penitent Engine can never lose more than one wound at a time-- it is unaffected by instant death, and effects that remove all wounds at once or just remove the model outright simply cause a single wound instead. However, when it loses its wounds, its offensive effectiveness is reduced. When it loses its first wound, its attacks become D3+1 and its heavy flamer becomes a flamer. When it loses its second wound, its attacks become D3, and lose the DCCW quality, and it loses its flamer. When it loses its final wound, roll D6. On a roll of 4+, it comes back with -1 to its attack roll (minimum one).

Bravo Canoness Melissia. Thank you for doing this, and a sticky for your work and effort. This is one of the best contributions to the IGMB we've had in a while.
My points are:
I think GW dropped every Initiative Stat in the Guard codex to represent the fact that the basic human is initiative three. That's just my thought, but I still think everything except Special characters and heroines should be I:3.
Sisters of the Nightflame are exceptionally powerful. I mean...terrifyingly powerful. They're basically up-armoured fire dragons for infantry. Any infantry. Personally, I'd like to see them reduced to 0-4 flamers, or possibly 0-2 heavy flamers and meltabombs. The reason for this is simple - with the combination of Fearless, Infiltrate and Power Armour, they become virtually unstoppable on their own, without killing them all. And even one or two of them can do serious damage to an infantry squad. Ten of them is just....obscene, and relatively cheap for that kind of firepower.
Switch the Sisters of the Blazing sun from storm bolters to twin-linked bolters. With bikes being Relentless, there's no impairment to their assault and it keeps them in line with Astartes.
And what are the rules for a Boltcannon?

1: Not doin' it. Seraphim and Celestians are I4 because of their skill, training, and experience. As I have said to you time and time and time and time and TIME again, the Sisters ARE the elite of the elite. This is never going to change.
2: Please read the "units under discussion" post. there are two quotes for the more recent version of Nightflame Sisters, which you should already be familiar with.
3: No.
4: It's in the wargear section. I didn't miss it.

Not sure why the Sisters would go against the STC and give their bikers stormbolters when twin-linked bolters have served the bikes of the imperium just fine for ten thousand years.

Sisters don't use Astartes bikes, therefor they aren't going against the Astartes STC?
Twin-Linked Bolters are a throwback to the Horus Heresy. The Sisters did not exist back in the Horus Heresy, and not a single Sister should ever use that outdated piece of equipment.

As outdated as the rhino and the bolter itself?
Since when has been using outdated equipment been a problem in the Imperium?
Alright, well...it's your vision...
It would be silly to argue about it.

As opposed to thinking that they're riding motorcycles made for eight foot tall superhuman monstrosities? I think that's rather silly, myself...
The Sisters bike is different, if only for the rather large biological differences between an ordinary human and an Astartes. What with Marines being over three feet taller and hundreds of pounds heavier. Given the Sisters themselves are more recent, the Sororitas Bike would also be more recent, and thus use more recent (IE storm bolter) weaponry.

Yep, those units already have that stat line in the current WH book, no sense making them weaker.

Agreeded about the Initiative issue. It's whay they already have, so why downgrade them?
Also, consider how iconic the Storm Bolter is for the Sisters. It's one of the three SWs that almost any squad can take (The other being Flamer and Melta, of course). I'd say it makes sense to have it on Sisters-specific bikes.
As for the Nightflame, Mel, you and I had a long talk about them a while back, so you know how what I think there.

edit: Made some formatting changes so that it's easier to tell when one chapter ends and the other begins. Basically just made the Chapter X: Title label white and centered.
edit: Moved the transports into the Heavy Support chapter and added some more quotes into Rules Under Discussion.
