I gave them your number, so expect a call from them soon. Except to be hauled of to commoragh and get raped and whipped repeatedly for the rest of your life. I suggest you learn to like it esp. the raping cuz they're gonna do it a lot. Holy hellfire rounds! The new Dark Eldar look positively vicious! I can not wait to get fighting them! I'm surprised you wouldn't want to play as dark eldar hetlan. They sound just like you.

You're gonna need autocannons if you want to kill DE vehicles en masse. I'm still deepstriking most of my army if i can. There's only a couple things i don't think i can deepstrike like a talos or two. This is all assuming i even get a DE army and what it'll be when i get it. I still might make different army choices between now and then.

Can't see my selection of lascannons and plasmaguns having much difficulty with those flimsy raiders... Although I have been tempted for quite a while now to exchange the heavy bolters in one of my platoons for autocannons. Extra variety is always good...

Honestly i don't think i'd use heavy bolters. I use hellhounds and i'd use banewolfs for anything i'd normally use a heavy bolter for anyway.

I find HB's to be great cleanup weapons. They also do well against Raiders, especially in teams.

I find HB's to be great cleanup weapons. They also do well against Raiders, especially in teams. Like i said i'm just not a fan of heavy bolters except against tau and the BS 3 doesn't help this fact. Maybe if orders could somehow twin-link them but that only works against vehicles and MC's and both are bad to use the heavy bolters against (unless it's a daemon prince but it'd still suck). Possibly the one good thing to use them against are the tau since it outranges their guns and it's not normally a high enough priority target to easily destroy with anything else. For some reason heavy bolters are one of the perfect weapons to use against tau. Because it outranges most of their anti-infantry firepower and the railguns would rather be shooting at tanks as would deepstriked crisis suits it would also be a waste of stealth suits to shoot at them but it's the choice of the tau player really. Normally i'd love my leman russes because they have good range and can instant kill a lot of things and go through armor +3 but generally anybody with any skill will spread their guys out to be hard to kill, place them in transports, or give their guys cover saves all of which are annoying to me. I kind of hate the fact IG doesn't have much of anything good against MEQ armies that spread out a lot. Kasrkin aren't that great at killing marines but i suppose ogryns and rough riders would be nice to kill marines with. Problem is ogryns are so ungodly expensive almost nobody would have a squad of 10 unless they're rich and really you'd better take a lord commissar with them. Rough riders are still fairly expensive and you only get one damn shot to use them so luck could screw you over and you wouldn't get another chance. You have to pray they get into the combat you want and possibly charge into it and hit decently. God i wish rough riders could have a priest on a horse with them. It'd make them a hell of a lot better of a choice to take. Back to the dark eldar though. The incubi looks super-sexified, the talos's upgrade to instant kill things is awesome, not sure about some of this wargear and i'll see later about it, the raiders are good and i'm sure i'll get the re-rollable morale and re-rollable guns ability as well as the shooting after deepstriking for all my raiders, ravagers will be nice, voidraven bombers sound kind of good for anti-MEQ, the beastmasters seem interesting, and everything else seems decent. I'll save my judgment for when i see everything working well on the table.

I think you could get your point across in fewer sentences if you did not repeat yourself so much. It would save you some work and make your posts easier to read. Maybe you will consider it. Anyway, I'm not trying to be a prick or anything. I kind of hate the fact IG doesn't have much of anything good against MEQ armies that spread out a lot. Plasma spam. We gots it.

Yeah true but i'd rather use my plasma spam against termies.
As far as repeating myself goes i sort of did it. I have a habit of ranting on and on though. I also always come up with more to say. I can only hope i can leave this post the way it is and not edit it like 5 more times and add a page to it.

Heavy bolters aren't the best thing to use against light armoured vehicles (that honour definitely goes to the autocannon), but they can still be useful. And destroying their infantry on a 2+ warms the heart As for MEQ killing, yeah I'd go with plasmaguns - granted they are the stable termie killer, but generally you'll onl be facing a few termies at most, so all those plasmaguns definately have a role in wiping out MEQ... Ofcourse, you should never underestimate massed lasgun fire...

I dunno massed lasgun fire even with orders still doesn't do much of jack nuts against a whole lot of marines.
I'm really looking forward to getting banewolfs though. Finally marines and other +3 armor save jackholes and bikers won't be able to take cover saves. What's that? Your marines on bikes turbo-boosted. Ok. Dead. This would even be good against ork bikers.
At least as one use for kasrkins i have used them to deepstrike behind small devastator squads in buildings and shoot them to death and they didn't get cover.
We keep derailing the topic though. It's kind of hard though as i've talking most about what i'll get. I'll probably get some beastmasters with the vodwing flock (once again probably a swarm base). Maybe some of the higher up warriors and maybe the bloodbrides but i don't think i'll actually use bloodbrides in my army. I dunno if i'll use grotesques either. I might use mandrakes though since i think they get a +5 inv. save or was that a cover save. They also get stealth and infiltrate if i remember correctly. Don't know how effective they'd be to use in combat though and they still seem pretty weak and have to charge out onto open ground at some point. Maybe if they can outflank that would be good as long as there's a building in the way.

Though I haven't even had so much as a sniff at the new codex, I'm already gearing towards making an army heavy with Warriors on Raiders. A little contingent of Incubi for the Archon, Multiple Raider-Warrior Squads, Jetbikes, and possibly a couple of Ravagers.
Something about the "rank and file" troops (of all races) attracts me over elites choices. All depends on points and cash costs though...

As of right now I can throw 60 DE warriors on the table along with, 20 wyches, 5 incubi, 10 reavers, 2 haemonculi, an archon, a talos, 4 raiders and 2 ravagers.
It'll be fun having a painted DE army just as soon as the new book drops.
Yeah, they're the old guys...
it's still going to be awesome.
I am sort of disappointed that the new incubi are lacking laser hats... though I am not too surprised I guess.

Wait you play marines? I just lost any semblance of respect for you. Not that i had much to begin with but it's all gone now.
I'd personally think you'd be into slaanesh. Hetlan needs a slaaneshi themed army. Of course if he plays marines he'd have to make them a chaos rebel space marine chapter.
