Yum, he looks great! Well thank you for the kind words but I'm not sure he'll be that yummy if you did eat him , distinct aftertaste of legendary awesomeness And cheers everyone , those eagle eyed members may notice that he's in the same basic colours as my BFG Imperial ships, I thought it would look good on marines and so I gave it a try. I have a whole squad built and primed so hopefully more photos soon. Daniel

Very nice - my particular favourite part to this model is the dattle damage. It's not overstated so it looks more "real", and it really adds a sense of "depth" to the shoulder pads in particular.

Absolutely stunning, and very inspiring (I'm collecting marines too). The bases are superb and the highlights are crisp. You will pass all your armour saves.

Thanks as usual glad you like them. Almost finished my squads Rhino... Just the driver to finish and a few touch-ups It's just occured to me that although I've been collecting space marines for about 8 or 7 years on and off, this is the first Rhino I've actually completed! Cheers, Daniel

They all look ace, especially loving the battledamage on the marine armour, far better than I could've ever done it ( trust me I tried )

Cheers Krishar, the damage isn't anything special but does have an effect. Finished the actual Rhino, just need to do the driver and storm bolter, but I've just finished the Heavy Bolter Marine. And just a quick look at my initial ideas for a Diorama.... Daniel

what colour/technique do you use to get the dirt on your rhino? pigment or just paint?

Wow, really nice work, they really look like they have been fighting!!!!!!! Only 1, very small suggestion is to rehighlight the red bolter cases a little, not too much, looks like u black washed them which does look good, but a little highlighting back up might be good. that said, teh last pic of the heavy bolter looks lighter (and from the pic above the highlighting looks the same) so it may just be the pics. Excellent work, I love the movement you've added to the squad. Assualt marine legs? Really nice models there

what colour/technique do you use to get the dirt on your rhino? pigment or just paint? No pigments, just the normal paints. It's just a simple drybrush of Bestial Brown, followed by a lighter drybrush of 1:1 Bestial Brown and Bleached Bone Thank you for the suggestion, I may redo them later but for now they'll do, I just want to get the squad mostly done then go back over them with added extras Yup they are assault marine legs, I prefer them as they really do look much better than the standard ones an it gives them much more movement. Also it gives them a lot more height and although it doesn't make them truescale, it does make them look more imposing next to Guardsmen models or tau etc And thank you very much for the C&C

Wow! Nice chipping effect! I really like your SpaceMarines. The red of the bolter is a nice touch to the dark colour scheme. what colour/technique do you use to get the dirt on your rhino? pigment or just paint? No pigments, just the normal paints. It's just a simple drybrush of Bestial Brown, followed by a lighter drybrush of 1:1 Bestial Brown and Bleached Bone Ahh! Thank you. That would have been my first question. I always regretted that I added a lot of scorched brown to my colour scheme of my Imperial Guard … now I do it even more . Maybe I should try it with some reddish-brownish colour? Very nice job Sir! Cheers! -Magg

Sorry Magg for the late reply, and yup give it a go although if your guard are already brown you may need to try and find a way of makin the dirt/mud stand out so it doesn't just look like a mess. Maybe use a light drybrush of something lighter, what colour are their bases? I do not have any visual updates at the moment, however I have still been working and have completed another marine and the sergeant. I have also almost completed my first Land Speeder so I'll try and get some pictures up soon. In the meantime I've been thinking of chapter names, and I quite like just ' The Legion'. Any thoughts? I think it suits the Marines and the colourscheme quite nicely, but I'm open to opinions Thanks Daniel

My advice with names is simply to go with whichever one you like the sound of most - if it reflects what your army does, or how they look aswell, that's an added bonus!
