That's quite a force. The Ultramarine assault terminators are just amazing, and of course you can use different chapter sqauds in the same army. The war might be a multi chapter crusade.

Sorry Magg for the late reply, and yup give it a go although if your guard are already brown you may need to try and find a way of makin the dirt/mud stand out so it doesn't just look like a mess. Maybe use a light drybrush of something lighter, what colour are their bases? Who is late now, eh? Sorry, but I have missed your answer. My bases have a similar colour to yours. I start with Scorched Brown followed by drybrushing it with with Snakebite Leather and with a mix of Snakebite Leather and Bleached Bone. Maybe I will try it with Calthan Brown and Bleached Bone. I will experiment a little with it, but at the moment I am not very patient, so I let the brush rest … Your force looks really impressive. I like the effect on the thunder hammers and the free hands on the Ultramarines shoulder guards. How long does it take you to paint one Marine? Well done! -Magg

It's less of a waste of paint to do several models at once.

Well howdy howdy howdy, I have returned! Not much of an update painting wise, that has seemed to have stalled due to college work *grumbles quietly to himself*. However I have just thrown this Chaplain together... Sorry for the bad pictures, they were taken on my phone quickly with poor lighting! Damn you miserable weather! He's just about to be primed so I'll get cracking soon, Daniel

It's less of a waste of paint to do several models at once. I know , but an estimation is still possible The chaplain looks promising and with your skill with the brush, he will be awesome ;D Cheers! -Magg

Sorry for the utterly pants pictures, I'll get some better ones tomorrow! I sense some hard core Chaplain goodness being formed here Hard core Chaplain action? *Queues cheesy porn music* "Bow chica bow wow..." "Hey baby, wanna see my Crozius Arcanum?" ;D This is looking like a really sweet conversion. The skull helmet is perfect! Can't wait to see him completely painted...

Ohhh … looks really great so far! I like the way you have painted the bone … makes me wish you had modelled more relics on him (If you ever want more bones, I suggest to ask a vampire player. In the zombie box there is a nice thigh bone, which I used for my chaplain conversions) Is it just because of the camera or did you use NMM on the chaplains bionic arm? "Hey baby, wanna see my Crozius Arcanum?" ;D Only if you touch my bellybutton … What?!? Cheerio! -Magg

What did you use for the Aquila on his kneepad by the way?

Right, in the fear that this will turn in to some sort of topic for cheesy Chaplain pickup lines lets see if I can distract you with more (slightly better) pictures It's my birthday on Tuesday and hopefully I'll be getting a new camera, so the pictures to follow should be much better! This is as far as I can freally go at the moment because I#ve run out of Bestial Brown, which is what I need for the Base and Battle Damage...so enjoy for the next few days! It's this tiny Aquila from the commander box set www.bitzbox.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=21_27_85&products_id=234Nope, no NMM. Just Chainmail, wash of Chaos Black and Mithril Silver highlight Daniel

Now I see it better It was hard to tell on the previous picture … maybe my monitor settings are a little too dark, too. Nice update. Your chaplain is really coming along nicely! I also want to say: Happy birthday! Cheers! -Magg

Wow, looking really good. I especially like the Crozius. The banner is a little dark for my tastes, but it isn't my army.

Keep up the good work.
Are you planning a specific type of army, just out of interest, or are you just collecting as you go?

They look so good! I keep trying to imagine them as part of a completed force, but the awesomeness of the spectacle seems to be resonating through the warp and blinding me

Keep up the good work. Are you planning a specific type of army, just out of interest, or are you just collecting as you go? Nope, just collecting as I go . All of these models I already had, they've had about 10 different paint schemes in the past 6 months! Cheers Gabriel , I just went into town to get some new Assault Terminators, but turned away when I saw the price! So I'll try to scrounge some up from my bits box and there should be another update soon.
