sssssssssssssssorry guyssssssssssssssss, this is pretty much all I have right now...most of my models are back home in the states...and I'm currently abroad. I won't be home until sometime in march probably....as for the cape, almost all the extra details on this model is greenstuff. the cape, the ropes the clasps, everything.

well, I had thought about using a bigger base for kobra commander, and modeling a dead chaos guardsman, painted up like duke....he could have a laspistol hole, right through his head....

Very unique army! I'm not entirely familiar with the whole Kobra thing, all I know is it's something to do with Comic books isn't it? The fatigues on the infanty blend in a bit too much with the shoulder pads I feel though, a quick wash would sort that out though Cosmic

Cosmic: to piggy back off of what trooper 1974 said, Cobra was the bad guys to the cartoon/comic, GI Joe, which was really popular in the 80's in the US. The guys above are conversions for Cobra Vipers...now this is 40k, so I've changed the name to Kobra, after the planet they come from. As for the shoulder pads, I've tried to be pretty faithful to what they look like, while keeping the whole army looking cohesive...a picture can be found here. www.silversnail.com/images/gold/full/action0006539.jpg (a major problem with GI Joe action figures is that every figure looked so different if you had them all, they don't look like a cohesive unit at all...) oh and a note on the helmet....with pics that close, you can obviously see flaws in my sculpting of the face masks....since I'm making a ton of these guys...I'm really only going for mainly table top quality...special characters are an exception, but I just don't care enough to file out every print on a helmet of the 30th guy that I've converted...call me lazy:P

Brill work on the veterans. I may have to try sculpting one of these at some point... Very unique army! "Now you know, and knowing is half the battle. GI JOE!!!!" Also GI Joe used to be called Action Force here in the UK, back in the day.. I have some of those old kobra troopers somewhere in the loft. Not to mention that sexy kobra lady with the round glasses, who used to wear black all the time..

So are the Vipers your veterans, are you going to make some guys with ski masks under their helemts and all blue uniforms to stand in for Cobra troopers as your infantry squads?

Cheminhaler: Ah the baronness. Yup I have a model for her back home....use here as a commissar or master of the fleet. Ymmot: Yes they are my vets. If you look closely at the flightpod pilot, you'll notice he's exactly what you describe...if I ever get around to making any regular infantry squads, that was exactly what I was planning on doing

Thanks for the pic Kras, I've seen some close ups, but I never saw that one...I'm doing a few things differently than that gentleman, but it does help to know what others have done.
