What do you think to this idea for a game I'm writing at the mo?
I'll brake the idia if the game down to full exsplain its game play. Imaging a arena with wizards fighting in it.
So your wizard gains experience, equipment and skills, spells, special rules and such. Also each wizard has his main magic area, it could be a shape-changer, or he could be one of the elements like fire firing of fire balls or metal making his skin steal for protection
Also you don't have to be one magic area, you could be a bit jack of all trades. Or mainly one with a tad of other skills that can complement or just amazing at only one.
Now, imagine you have a group and it's set in a mad max post apocalyptic future, a tad necromunda also, so they they have futuristic type armour, bionics, laser riffles, Heave Machineguns etc.. Kinda like Necromunda+Wizards+super hero+madmax.
So, the help I need? I'm thinking of magic types, I want to be carfull not to use GW magic 'laws' but any ideas would be helpful. Here is some I've done already:
Metal: Very defensive, most skills revolve are plating themselves in metal to protect against, lasers, bullets, heat and blows.
Rock: Like Metal but not as self defensive, however heavy blows in combat and altering terrain to help protect.
Flame: Middle of the road. Firing fire balls or jets of flame.
Water: Amazing against fire, also ice skills some ice skills can be used defensively, such as against fire or reflecting laser fire.
Wind: Usually used to move them selves fast, flying skills.
Storm: Like wind but more offensive, bit unpredictable as after casting the weather condition move and continues. Things like lightning bolts, hail and such.
Shape shifter: The ability to change in to a type of animal (bat, wolf, horse, bear, lion, dragon) either mid way or totally. Very powerful but once changed difficult to change back and may attack friendly models.
Life: Healing powers, like a medic.
