"That is understandable, I have been trying to goad people into voting sooner than they are comfortable with. I have done so because we have all day. Exactly all day, no more, no less. When the day ends, and night falls on us again, until we have killed all of the things trying to kill us (hopefully only the one) the thing will kill at least one more of us. If we fail to find the thing trying to kill us, we will all die. Voting is necessary and if we don't vote, we will die. If we do vote, only some of us will die. The choice seems clear, but we do need a majority every day."

"3 votes, and all different suspects. We need to find some unity here people. My resions for voting for emptiehat are simple. He was a strong suspect yesterday, and what he said indicated that the ganger was the infected one, which lead to the ganger being lynched. He has still not told us anything about himself, and he is the only one giving reason to be voted for. I'm really not comfortable with the way he has been acting since we where called here. Something is really not right with him!"
"I'm sorry if you disagree, but I'm sticking with my vote, and so help me emperor, I'm not wrong".
"One last thing, if burying the bodies is such a big deal, lets just move them to a different room and deal with them later".

Gelderous, PDF Private, and his commanding officer enter the room carrying a crate of supplies. "Sorry about getting here so late people, we saw one of you trying to hail us down, but we were occupied with another civilian at the time. I hope these supplies will be enough for the time being. Also, is there anything you need assistance with?"

Everything is in lockdown. Citizens are supposed to remain in their living quarters until the PDF cleans up the city. This is all for your safety, we have everything under control and there is nothing to panic about.
As for supplies, there's mostly basic military rations, a few packets of lho sticks, some flash-lights and some rugs.

"All your bloody frakken needs, your majesties." Snared the sergeant, dropping his gloved fingers from the handle and letting the crate strike the wooden floor.
"...... Thank, thank you." The manager whispered, hiding his auto pistol in the back of his pants and stepping in the middle of the hallway obscuring the bodies.
"Arg, I don't need your thanks we had enough thanks for today. 270 deliveries already, expecting another 100 before shift end." He glanced his view over to the manager, "you mind if I smoke in here."
"N-n-no, no, go ahead." Jovinus stuttered, his hands trembling and his palms sweating. "How long will you be, it's time for afternoon prayers."
"I'll be however long I so damn please, you have no warp ridden right to question the fighting men of the PDF." Melwinii glared at him, getting up from his seat to blow smoke in his face.
The manager trembled, he prayed, he hoped the trooper didn't look over his shoulder. What if he, what if he saw them. They would be declared enemies of the Imperium, he began to hiccup.
"What's wrong you dirty grox frakker, you hiding something back there? Drugs, weapons?" The sergeant accused.
"No, sir." Jovinus almost whispered, one of his hands reaching behind his back and wrapping around his pistols grip.
"You don't call an NCO sir, didn't anyone teach you that?" Melwinii's tone was still quite abusive. "So you won't mind if I take a seat in the lounge as I finish my Iho stick?"
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." The manager warned, mustering his strength.
"What? What did you say?" The sergeant raised his lasrifle, pressing it against the managers shoulder and peaking behind him. "Sweet Emperor....."
"Gelderous, have a look at this." The NCO ordered, "Get the frak back, I repeat everyone get back into that room."
"No, I won't I am a Imperial citizen I don't deserve this!" The manager cried, pulling his autopistol from its concealment.
"Gun!" The NCO yelled, bringing the stock of his rifle in the mans skull. The manager stumbled and fell back onto the hard floor, Melwinii pressed his boot on the mans neck. "You are an enemy to the mighty Imperator and I will dispatch you as such."
"Thank you...." The manager, choked, spitting out blood and trying to bring up his best smile. That was before the lasbolt exploded half of his skull, the rest of his face now burnt and chard.
"We got a level one area, McGinnis, Yelbow get in here!" He barked into his radio.
"We are going to play a little game. You're going to decide between yourselves who I am going to shoot next, the last to live gets to go free. Aren't I nice? Right sit the frak down!" He commanded, tracing his aim across the rest of the tenants. "If you do not comply you will suffer the same fate."

Rook giggles to himself.
"I'd like to get these bodies in the ground before they start to rot but if you would rather start blasting people I suppose you could start with Paimon here. She seems a little too...blood thirsty for my liking."
Rook takes a couple steps away to be as alone as he can be in such a crowded room.
"Barring that I'd rather you take me out. However this xeno scum kills you or changes you probably is a fate worse than death and you may just be doing me a favor."

Wraelis simply stood where he was, frozen in place and wide eyed as he saw the events around him unfolding. First Paimon thinking he was a murderer and now the bloody PDF in here killing innocents. This was not the world he had known.
"Adkenpachi, shut up. You're not making matters any better." Wraelis snapped. "As for now, my vote goes to Empty as the least trustworthy person here." 'Though I know for sure who one murderer in this room is,' Wraelis muttered to himself, still staring at the PDF soldier in disbelief.

Something in Shostak seems to snap. He gets up, moving towards the PDF sergeant, with a look of sheer anger on his face.
"Don't you know to salute and officer when you see one sergeant Melwinii, even a retired officer? These people are frightened, fearful of what is going on and what is going to happen, and you dare walk in here threatening to kill them all? I have seen some horribly managed situations in my time, and many a soldier that has abused his power, but quite frankly you are the worst. There is a killer or killers in our midst, monsters of some tyranid hive. The men you see dead before you, one we voted wrongly to kill, and the other was murdered in the night, the first two of the massacre you wish to induce."
Shostak seems to calm down slightly, as he looks around the room.
"For seventy years I have served the God Emperor of mankind, performing my duty in the best way that I could. The fact that I have ended up here is testimony to my faliure. One of the men lying dead on the floor has perished in part because of me. I am an officer of first the Kassian Dragoons, and then the PDF, and have studied our foe long and hard, as well as fighting against them, yet I have no more idea than any other of these men who the creature is." His voice increased in pitch to a distressed sob, "I failed! I was an officer in the God Emperor's forces and I failed in my duty."
Once more Shostak calms down, almost appearing resigned.
"I cannot condemn any of these people, one or more of them are monsters I know, but I cannot face having the blood of more innocents on my hands. If you must have a vote from me, then I vote for myself. Shoot me now and be done with it, and free my spirit to serve the Emperor, and let my service be better in death than it was in life. I vote for myself."
He rounds back on Melwinii.
"But you, you foul, slovenly excuse for a soldier, you have grossly mis-managed this situation, and threatened the life of innocent Imperial citizens. If I still held my captaincy I would have you flogged and stripped back to the ranks for this, although I know that the Emperor forsaken officers of this world won't bother. May your guilt hamper you for the rest of your days sir, and may the Emperor forgive of your crimes, now and before. I know I won't."
His anger and distress expended, Shostak seemed to sag visibly, but remained defiantly on his feet, daring Melwinii to respond to his challenge.
Vote - Shostak.

Paimon sighs, "It's so heart warming to see everyone finally voting for people. Sergeant, I've already cast my vote for Wraelis, believing him to be the zeno that has driven us to the point you found us in. My suspicion in order is Wraelis, Shostak, Emptyhat, Rook, Adkenpachi, and Soap. Shostak's recent sob story has failed to move me one way or another."
Paimon turns to the group, "Make a frakking list. Rank people so that if everyone has the same person as #2 on their list we can start to draw some conclusions. There are only seven of us left. Please. I want to live, and I want to kill that zeno monster that has us killing each other to find it. For these things to happen I need you people to stop being so Emperor forsakenly irrational."

"My dear woman, that was no 'sob story,' merely an expression of my feelings at how these men are treating us. You will have no list from me, but I was able to muster the conviction to vote for someone then it would be you. You appear far too pleased that these scum are here to kill everyone, and the fact that you are completely unfazed by the murder of our landlord is both callous and highly suspicious. My vote stands, kill me if you see fit to."

Soap hoped, no, he prayed that none of the PDF recognized him. Yes it had been a few weeks since the incident, and alcohol had flown well for the troopers, but he knew all to well what the local PDF was like. Once crossed never forgotten. To his favour, he hadn't shaved in two weeks, and he was covered in dirt and dust from work and the quakes.
He raised his hands slowly, stepped back a couple of paces and listened to everyone.
"Sergent, if I may speak. These men and women are under my care. They are detained here with full rights and privilege of imperial citizens. They have, how can I say, been apart of the emperors fight against his enemies. But they have seen more than the human mind can handle".
He pause, hoping everyone would calm down.
"With light of their service, and the current situation, would you give them the honour of seeing their final days in peace, while I make them as comfortable as I can?"
Soaps nerves where rattling though his body, but he hoped he could keep them hiden from the PDF squad.
"And I swear, nothing will come of this little miss understanding".

"Unfazed? Unfazed‽ What you are seeing is a carefully constructed facade designed to keep my gibbering terror from causing me to break down into incoherence. I am doing my best to void myself of all emotion, and have been since we were all called together. Doing so seems like the best way to find the killer as efficiently as possible, and thereby reduce the total number of deaths. I basically taken to 'I'm saving people' as my mantra, repeating it over and over in my head, because if I weren't, and if I didn't believe it, then I wouldn't be able to continue. But I'm clearly just callous."

Shostak laughs at that, long and hard, a laugh that echoes his fear, his rage and his pain at his faliure.
"So in the end all we have is our 'sob stories.' You and I Paimon, we are so alike, although It is hard to admit it. We both want to find the killer, or so we say. We both want to protect the others, or so we say. We both distrust and even fear each other, but we are motivated by such different things. We are so alike, but I broke first. Whoever and whatever you are, you have true courage. I'm afraid I'm almost empty on that front. All I have left is my faith, and what dignity remains to me."

Wraelis, Paimon, emptiehat, shostak,, and myself all have a vote against us. The vote trend looks to be, 'you voted for me so I vote for you'. But either way we have a choice.
One. No vote result and risk yet another innocent killed. Two. Vote and pray we kill the enemy, and thus the rest of us survive...
So, who is yet to vote, and who wishes to change their vote? And who wishes not to vote?
I am sorry but I feel I cannot trust emptiehat so my vote stays with him.
At this point in time, I have no reason not to trust the rest of you, but don't think I actually do trust you!

McGinnis, Yelbow ran into the door. "Woh frak," they spoke up in unison.
"McGinnis, Yelbow attend to the bodies, take them outside and get the flamer from the chimera. You know what to do." Melwinii ordered, not even listening to the pleas and speals of the group before him. "And radio command tell them we found a group of dissidents."
"Yes, sergeant." They replied, shouldering past the tenants and dragging the bodies outside one by one.
Melwinii rolled his eyes, "get back." He threatened, staring at the so called vet. "You are out of uniform and no longer in service, I have no need to listen to the likes of you."
"It's going to be dark soon sarge, command doesn't want anyone straying out there. What do we do?" Questioned Yelbow as he passed.
"We'll hold up here."

Shostak had been calm for some time now, and had had time to think. Ashashamed at his fearful outburst at the others, he spoke up once more.
"You...you are right, all of you. My hysterics have achieved nothing and have only brought even more mistrust between us. I apologise for my actions, and the misconduct, though my words to you Melwinii still stand."
He turns to the group as a whole.
"If you would like a list, then so be it. I can almost trust Rook and Soap, and am on the fence about Wraelis. I am worried about Adkenpachi, and part of me suspects him, and Paimon... Paimon I cannot decide what to make of you one bit. While I feel more inclined to vote against Adkenpachi, in the interest of getting a decisive vote I am going to vote against... against Emptyhat... if it is not to late to change my mind. I cannot shake the feeling that there is more to this man than just being a disturbed lunatic, and his actions led in part to the death of Purple Dice. I... I am sorry."
Looking bleak and pained, Shostak settles to see what will occur.
