Alright, at the suggestion of Treadiculous, here's my ork army, in all its manifest glory. I'm just going to list the models I have because my army list changes pretty much every game, as even when I'm having success, I can't leave well enough alone.
2x Warbosses – 1 Shoota/Skorcha & PK, 1 TL Shoota and Big Choppa Weirdboy 2 Big Meks – 1 KMB and Bosspole (For babysitting Lootas), 1 KFF and Burna
15 Kommandos, 1 Nob w/ PK, Snikrot 8 Tankbustas, Nob w/ PK 8 Burna Boyz 12 Lootas
10 Nobz of varying configurations (Mostly Cybork, 2 Big Choppas, 2 PKs, Banner, Shoota/Skorcha) 2 Painboyz (One for Nobz, one for Flash Gitz) 2x 20 Shoota Boyz (Nob w/ PK, 2x Big Shootas) 12 'Ard Boyz, Nob w/ PK 20 Grots, 2 Runtherds Small handful of Slugga boyz – Maybe enough to make a mob of trukkers? 2 of the old crappy Trukks and one new one that hasn't been fully assembled yet
2 Wartrakks w/ TL Big Shootas 3 Deffkoptas w/ TL Rokkits 3 Warbikes 13 Stormboyz, Nob w/ PK
3 Killa Kanz w/ Grotzookas Battlewagon w/ 4 Big Shootas (Still needs a Deffrolla modeled) Looted Wagon – Rhino w/ Skorcha, 'Ard Case and Big Shoota 2 Lobbas 7 Flash Gits w/ Cybork Bodies
I also have 4 Meks w/ Big Shootas, and another Mek w/ a KMB.
That's pretty much it; I've probably got a few odds and ends that I forgot, but my army is downstairs in the car, and I'm only on my second cup of coffee. I usually play 2000 point games, and my most frequent opponents are SM, IG (vanilla and DKOK), occasionally CSM, and Sisters of Battle. My budget is limited, and I'm a bit burned out on orks, so I've been feeding my painting and modeling energy into my Guard right now. However, they'll be a long time coming; I'm taking it slow and painting them all so they'll actually look *nice.* The orks have all been slapdash since I got them; always a hurry to get them assembled and on the table and painting be damned. So I really need to find a way to make them viable until my Guard are up and running.

Somewhat disorganized and bullet-pointish because I'm kind of crashing here:
If you've got some appropriate bitz around, converting a bunch of those Big Shootaz into Rokkitz might be a significant boost at minimal cost. I find Orks generally don't need much extra help with Anti-Light Infantry, but need every bit of Anti-Tank they can scrape together. I'd do the same with the Grotzookaz as well.
As far as actual additions, I think the first thing I'd try to do would be fill out the Shoota Mobz to 30 each. That's been the core of pretty much every Ork Army I've run under this Dex, and they've never let me down.
Picking up/converting another 8 Lootaz to run 2x10 couldn't hurt either. Maybe look into scratchbuilding an Aegis Line for them to hide behind. Dropping down from needing 5s to needing 6s isn't that bad, so you can Go to Ground for a 2+ Cover Save back there and still keep significant quantities of firepower coming out.
3 Trukks with options for Nobz, 'Ard Boyz, or basic Sluggaz, plus the Storm Boyz, gives you some pretty good options for faster aggressive Units. That's solid.
Battlewagons: If you want to use them aggressively, you need multiples. Either take a KillKannon and have the KFF Mek camp out in there or leave it on the shelf until you can get a second with DeffRolla.
I'd try to pick up a third Lobba, and get some Ammo Runts in that Unit, too. The Re-Rolls can make a huge difference with Lobbaz, and they're dirt cheap, Points-wise.
Warbikes need at least one more box worth to be useful. Probably even more than that, really. They're not enough better than regular Boyz to function in truly small Units.

You could even drill out the barrels of thee big shootas and then attach some rokkits to cocktail sticks and switch between the two.
edit: Also did you notice that the gretchin attached to your big gunz are T7 until the guns are destroyed.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. And yes, I know those grots are T7. It's the only thing that saves them. WestRider, I do run three ammo runts with my lobba battery every time. They are *invaluable.* Tonight, I just finished converting a Battlewagon with a Killkannon, oddly enough. And the biggest reason I stick with 20 man boyz squads is that 30 is just too unwieldy on the tabletop. 20 is still a lot to kill, and much more manageable. I do have a scratchbuilt Aegis line, actually. I was going to kitbash a Quad Gun as well, but never got to it... but yeah, using lootas behind that line would be pretty decent. I know I should lose the grotzookas, probably, but the models are already built, and I just can't bring myself to chop them up any more. Might buy another box of Kanz when I have the spare scratch and put rokkits on those.

I've never had a problem with getting 30 Shoota Boyz around. Which is kind of odd, because I find Broods of 25 Gaunts to be really unwieldy, but for some reason it works for me with Orks. If you want to stick with 20s, I'd recommend trying to pick up a third Mob, then. Even more than 5th, 6th is about getting Scoring Models across the field, and with the reduced effectiveness of Cover, it takes even more to make it there.
Even just getting a few more Rokkits in the Boyz Mobz and the Trakkz would probably help, tho. They do a lot more to Vehicles in 6th than they did in 5th.
EDIT: Waitasec, I just saw your location. Where are you, more specifically?

That's because I only just included it. I live in Renton. Typically play at friends' places or at the Seattle Bunker in Bellevue.
And yes, another mob of shoota boyz would probably be a good idea, but I'm not sure I can really afford two more boxes of boyz...

Forgot the other part of that: you might also want to take a look at the forums at ordofanaticus.com. Local PNW board, mostly guys out of the Portland Area, but a fair spread elsewhere. In particular, there's a guy on there called Fluger, who's one of the best Ork Players I know and is also wrestling with converting his Orks to 6th on a tight budget.
I'm the other direction, actually over in Kitsap County, but it's just a 35 minute ferry ride to Seattle, so I figure that's close enough. I wish I could make it out to the Bunker more often, as I recall there was a pretty good scene over there, but the buses kind of suck and it's too much hassle.
I haven't looked recently, are AoBR Boyz still a relatively cheap thing on eBay and such? Might be worth looking for some of those and converting them to Shootaz.

So, I *finally* won my first game of 6th ed with my orks tonight! Played against my buddy's DKOK army, Big Guns Never Tire was the scenario. Battlewagons performed admirably; my new Killwagon didn't do as much damage as I'd have liked, but it drew a great deal of attention. I see what people mean about IG infantry blobs, though; sent my boss, big mek and nobz into a 30 man blob? I think. Killed about half of them before getting run off like a bunch of scared runts. I finally brought enough things with an armor value that he couldn't destroy them all in one turn. Next step: rokkit buggies and a dakkajet. Bwaha.

i havnt played alot with orks (i do have a load on the way) but the one think i can tell you is dont run mobs of boyz in sight of battle cannons of demolishers it hurts especially on a city map were they are all bunched together on a narrow street lol
