Having no hunting lances in a Rough rider codex is a serious crime, Narric, being that they're the best thing RR have going for them. You haven't even put them in your armoury.. Laspistols and whips wouldn't scare SM as much as laspistol and a one shot hunting lance that's AP3 on cavalry that move 12" and can us fleet to reroll their charge distance. In addition Hammer of wrath gives riders an automatic strength 3 hit at iniatiative 10 on their charge. Other than that good ideas with motorbikes and rough riders in one list. I like how you made a special character version of Kamir that's more of a Lord type character. Ironically he had the only lance in the list as far as I could see.

As I put on the first page, this is a supplement to Codex: Imperial Guard. Units can be mixed and matched from either in the same army. I may have worded it poorly in this though.
Any particular units you think should have access to the Lance? or would adding it to the Melee Weapons Armoury list enough?

I see. The veteran cavalry should get access. In the 4th edition dex I believe the hunting lance was double the cost of upgrading a sgt's laspistol to a blotpistol, per rider.
Looking at your rules for whips that's really quite nasty. What normal rr suffer from is lack of attacks - the hunting lance gets no bonus for the first charge, so a ten rough rider squad has 21 hunting lance attacks on the first round, then it goes down to 11 laspistol attacks in subsequent turns.
Your whip dudes/ reptilian cav have (for a ten rider squad) 31 attacks , which then gets doubled to 62 strength 3 attacks? That may be a bit OTT, plus if they survive (although they are I 3..) they still get 42 attacks in subsequent rounds when they aren't charging. Wow!

Maybe the whips are more OP than you think. They can be combined with the Lord Dragoon Order "Be Ready to Stomp!" which means they would get two attacks, when they are charged. Though considering that would mean the opponent chose to charge, I have no sympathy I'll probably remove that feature in the next version. I've had suggestions from friends for changes, mostly relating to the Rapid Support Quadbike. I'll make sure to post the next version here.

Forgot I actually started a thread for this kind of thing. I'm adding some new content, so I hope I won't get in trouble for thread Necromancy. It is my own thread though, so can't remember what the ruling is Speaking to a friend of a friend gave me some inspiration and feedback to work some more on the Sister of Battle, and so I present my third draft, still very much a work in progress, with only a few extra bits from the previous time. Draft the Third:fav.me/d852p3aChangelog - Small changes to wording of Acts of Faith and some of the actual acts of faith. - Introduction of the Order of the Valkyria, and the Canoness of the Valkyria HQ option. - Inclusion of Hand Flamers as a Ranged Weapon option. - Small changes to upgrade options of certain units. Order of the ValkyriaThis was included due to inspriation from the now finished webcomic series, Wolf and Sister, found here: space-wolves-grey.blogspot.co.uk/2011/02/wolf-sister.htmlThe story is compelling and excellently written, and features artwork from NachoMonI have used it as the backstory behind the Order of the Valkyria, and hopefully others will be able to use it as inspiration for most excellent Wolf Sister models for their games of 40k. Thanks for reading, and don't forget to send me feedback, especially if you have played with the Fandex. 7th edition gameplay would be greatly appreciated, as I have yet to pick up 7th at all.
As you can tell this is a long standing project. Here are the previous versions for reference. First Draft:sta.sh/0o9ldjgy19wSecond Draft:fav.me/d7pttrrChangelog (Draft the 2nd)- Changed “Ecclesiarchy Tempestus Scions” to “Adeptus Arbites.” - Begun writing in new special characters. - Grammer and spelling adjustments, and special rule re-wording in places. - Including wargear that was previously missed, and removal of excess/obselete wargear. - There are some rules that are still work in progress with this draft, and any input would be greatly appreciated.

The costing for the Sororitas seems about right; the same cost as an sm scout, basically.
What the scout gains in infiltrate, strength and toughness, the Sister makes up for with better armour and Faith.
I've got a small sisters infantry army (painted in atrocious colours so far), so I might give this fandex a whirl at some point.

Based on your interpretation of the rules, is there anything that seems galring in anyway? Either being under/overpowered or under/over priced?

The Sisters seem just like they were in the past, not overcosted like they are in the latest digital codex. The lack of decent ranged weaponry is the main issue being that some new codexes can spam AV14 like crazy. I'll probably need to invest in a 3rd retributor squad with multimeltas to go alongside the 2 heavy bolter toting squads. Meltaguns are too short ranged.
The Arbites bikers are a lot worse than SM bikers in all aspects; for 5 points less I can get 5 sm bikers vs the arbites biker, they have 3+ save over a 4+, +1 S, +1 T, And they Shall Know No Fear, access to Chapter Tactics (White Scars being most useful to bikers) and the option of adding an attack bike for a mobile heavy weapon. Similarly I'd rather take marine infantry over the Arbites squads for a couple of points extra each per model, or just more Sisters. It was good to include the Arbites, as they suit the list better than the old Witch Hunter Inquisition match-up. If you're looking to add more units did you consider Frateris militia, which could add a horde/conscript aspect to the list?
I couldn't see the benefits of taking the special character sisters either. What do the different Orders/ chapter tactic style rules do?

Just just correct you on SM Bikers. For 7pts less you still only get three bikers, one being a Sergeant. Increased armour save, strength and toughness, and acces to ATSKNF and CT is a given as they're space marines. If anything I'd say that the SM biker unit is UNDER priced for what it has. A fairer comparison would be the Scout bikers, but only by a small amount. For 16pts less you still only get three bikers. You still have +1 Strength and toughness, ATSKNF and CT, and you even have Scout and Infiltrate due to just being Scouts. What the Arbites have over them is BS4 as standard for the "grunts" of the squad. If you notice my original inclusion of Arbites bikers did in fact include an "Attack Bike" option, but this was shot down as just copying Space Marines. In addition, a Heavy weapon doesn't really gel well into a unit that should be moving fast (which would give them the save cover saves as non-CT'd bikers) an that is intended to harass lightly armoured infantry and vehices. If I am to adjust the price for the unit, I would have to make them cheaper than Scout bikers, which doesn't sit right with meas the unit then feels underpriced. Personal opinion I know.
You ask what is the point of Order Traits, than I ask you what is the point of Chapter Tactics? They lend flavour to the Army, and allow for a greater scope of variaty in lists. As I said to a friend, a codex update should increase the number of options and army can take, not limit them. Lets look at the Order Traits though. Order of our Martyred Lady Makes it so that even if a unit loses its Sister Superior, it still has a chance to cuase some damage. That one last Faith point could change a batlle. Imperial Defenders was basically there to allow players to use Arbites in normal games without the need for taking sisters. Sacred Rose confers ATSKNF onto all Sororitas units with the Act of Faith rule. Ebon Chalice makes all Sister Characters better at combat with a boost to their shooting as well. Valorour Heart is intended to give more choice, and was included to allow players access to large blobs of Eviscerators. Bloody Rose is kind of a Salamanders rip-off, but is back by Order backstory. Argent Shroud again is back by Order history, and is there for payers who want a touch move survivability in their Sisters. Valkyria is put in as I enjoyed the Wof and Sister comic, and I believed that it adds a touch of character beyond the "Nuns with guns" stereotype that the Sororitas have to shoulder.
Something I should bring up about the standard Arbites, is that they're included becuase I personally believe a codex should always have at least two troops choices. It did not feel right to move any other Sister unit, so a new unit had to be made. Originally it was just Storm Troopers, but I was convinced by friends that a non-eclesiarchy unit would have ade moresense, considering only the Sisters are the militant arm. Arbites can be used to represent a local enforcement team, so can be used to build narrative to a game.
My last argument admitedly will sound childish. If you want Marines why not play marines? Sisters will probably never get T4 as standard armywide, becuase it would just be another marine codex, so what is the problem of making a T3 3+Sv army more unique in a unique way?

Sorry I was reading the wrong draft; just saw the order traits. It's a nice idea.. I see now why the special characters are costlier than standard Canonesses etc. Big blobs of Sisters Repentia sound awesome - now that's an attractive cc unit.
I was costing the bikers for 5, not 3, just to clarify. Also I'm not criticising the inclusion of Arbites; they make the most sense. In fact you could even resurrect the old 'frateris militia' that used to have models. They would be a great way of adding conscript type hordes that can be led by priests.
I meant to say that marines as allies to the Sisters would make sense, especially from a list-writing perspective. Marines of all flavours get access to lascannons, which the Sisters don't. It seems to be hard to write a list with decent anti-tank, especially at long range, so I was just suggesting that maybe I would add either Space Wolf of Marine allies just to round the list out. A squad of long fangs/ devastators would fill in nicely. Standard marines might be a better choice just so I can get another lascannon into a 5 man tactical squad as well. In terms of lore it makes a bit of sense; different branches of the Imperium acting together, just like the web-comic you linked.

If you want Space Wolves go to the Canoness of Valkyria setion of the Army List. Taking her as your Warlord allows for Space wolves to be taken as a Secondary Detachment, rather than an Allied Detachment. I'm not 100% on the wording, and I've made some adjustments to the CotV unit already. In terms of adding some heavier firepower, I was considering some updated/better/new vehicles, just need to find something that isn't just "Sm Vehicles with Sororitas crew" Will have to look up Frateris Militia. Going loosely interpreting it as latin, I make it means the Brotherhood Militia. My main thought is that aside from the troops section, it probably wouldn't fit in any other slot. I suppose I could make Adeptus Arbites only available if a "Inperials Defenders" Triated model is taken as a HQ choice, but thats just making things complicated. I'll do a bit more work, and see about uploading the next draft either tonight or tomorrow, and post it here.

They were literally conscript type metal models with stub pistols and long knives. I just found a quick image link to some of the old metal blister packs, you can get better pics of the models by hitting the phrase into an image search engine. MLWoD frateris militiaEdit - troops, but probably not a mandatory slot, just an extra. Also here is the Lexicanum's dirt on them. They're just volunteer fighters, unofficial but tolerated (after Vandire's reign of Blood). Linked to Redemptionist cults, as well. Lexicanum

Judge Dread... very funny. It's good that you squeezed a 'skilled rider' character into the list. Fearless, as well... I suppose there might be a use for a squad of arbites bikers led by Dread.
The Retribution batteries (with lascannons) look like the best option for my sisters, considering they're an infantry army.

Is Judge Dread the only reference in that character? Retribution Batteries was the best I could come up with for a Devastator Like unit for sisters that didn't add too many options to the Retributors. They're still technically Retributpor Sisters, just with slightly more specialise Heavy Weapon training in my mind. I've actually managed to play a game with this Fandex, and a few points came up that I needed to address. Mainly the Exorcist was increadibly OP, as the Exorcist Frag Missile wiped out an entire Veteran Squad of Guard with Caraoace armour. It has been tonned down, but is still better then a standard ML Frag Missile. I'm getting another game in using a similar sisters list, and the week after my friend will be trying out the Arbites, as he is a decent Guard Player.
