The Imperial armour book has an army list for the armoured fist. So it is effectively like a codex.
Can I put a unit in my normal guard list (obviously they must have a 40k stamp) in my squad or would I gave to take an armoured fist ally?

I might be wrong here but, as long as they have the 40K stamp they are useable in a standard guard army. It should also say in the details/rules for the unit.

i think you are talking about the armoured company list? it's a list on it's own and as such it can only be used as an allied force or primary force

But as fit the individual units in the book. For example. A Taurus. Can I only use that in an armoured fist army or can I take one in my normal codex: imperial guard army?

Each unit entry tells you how to include it. For instance, I think that the taurus has "is a fast attack choice for a codex: IG army" in it's entry. These units can be included in whatever force it says. However, entries in the Armoured Battle Group list, such as armoured fist squads, can only be used in that army lists. Of course, some units can be used both ways (for example, taurus squadrons).
