Hey Guys!
Well I planned a game of Kill Team with a mate the other day, and as we were setting up a couple other friends were over who were keen to have a go, so we quickly knocked up a team for each of them and away we went. The two other mates hadn't played Warhammer before so were learning as they went, but it turned out great. As such, I thought I would write it up for you guys to enjoy.
A couple things before I get into it:
I'll be writing it in narrative form (It's Kill Team, what else is it for other than creating cool stories?)
We decided to roll for leader traits even though no games had been played beforehand (Leaders have to be unique right? And it's too fun to not roll)
We decided to give the game a set 5 turns
We used these rules
We forgot about first blood, night fight and mysterious objective, ignored breaking point, seize initiative and decided that you could gain up to 3 points for line breaker, one for each enemy deployment zone.
Writing battle reports is much more time consuming then I ever realised. I have only managed turn one so far. I will post the next four turns when I can with a limit of four days.
Now, without further ado:

(Oops, we are so used to playing the scouts with camo that we gave them all plus one to cover despite not having camo. No matter, it happens.)

(I didn't realise at the time that I was 25 points under, wasn't a big deal anyway as Stormtroopers are a fluffy choice and it was a learning game, fun was the main goal)

Trooper – Shrouded
Flamer – Shred (This is unbelievably good against Orks!)

Deployment
Sergeant Domitian directs his tactical squad into position, a ruin situated South-East of his primary directive. Brother Hadrian, a monster of a man, even among the superhuman ranks of the Astartes, tracks his heavy bolter along their Northern front smoothly, easily bearing the weight of it. Taking position behind a ruined window, Sergeant Domitian signalls his squad is in position and about to proceed with the mission . . .
Gitbasher lops along with his boyz, one of them still squirming in his powerklaw as a reminder of who was running this pork shop, and who said where they went. Big Mek Kazzkrunk had said dere waz somfin wot could Krunk dem umies good an proper out here, so now Gitbasher's mob was rambling about for it. Gitbasher could see the building it was supposed to be in, dis umie Krunker.
He shouted at some weak shoota boyz to get up in some ruins and a bunch of boys to go around one side while he and the rest of his choppas would go around the other side. Hopefully there would be some gits to bash . . .
Veteran Sergeant Vitellius watches as the Ork boys run towards his position, his scout snipers on top of the ruin picking targets, his Sternguard settling on the second and ground floor. Despicable xenos scum, the Orks. Brutal, barbaric creatures with no understanding of the finer arts of war, Vitellius' least favourite enemy to fight. Some under his command, Veteran Brother Nero, would be relishing the chance to debase himself by fighting as they do. No matter, however the Orks are killed, it all glorifies the Emperor and his magnificent Imperium of Man.
Something of greater concern is what seems to be Ultramarines deployed in the ruins south of his team. How come he was not alerted that fellow sons of Guiliman would be present to support him?
He ordered one of his men to make radio contact . . .
He watches as his men expertly take up positions among the scant ruins South-West of Gamma site, true elite soldiers, they knew their trade and needed no instruction from Sergeant Bailif. He's proud to lead these men, and know's they are ready to give their lives for the cause, but they aren't going to throw those lives away needlessly either.
The intel was good, Bailiff noted the Ultramarines situated to his team's East, and the fast closing Orks to the North, no doubt there is another Ultramarines team North-East of him. Why the Imperium deemed it necessary for there to be two Astartes assets in play was beyond him, all it did was consolidate their suspicions that whatever was in these ruins was valuable to the Imperium. That meant it was valuable to them . . .
Turn One:
The stage was set, his secondary directive had arrived and was digging in, removing them would be his first order of business. If Squad Domitian could eliminate them, the prize would be his. Hadrian Opens up with his Heavy Bolter but the Scouts atop the ruins are too well camouflaged and his rounds buzz past them or lodge themselves in the building. The rest of the marines open up on the building and it's occupants to their North, mass reactive bolter rounds punching into rockcrete, spraying razor sharp chips everywhere. The razor storm not even registering as a threat to the Sternguard catches one Scout unprepared, a larger chunk skewering his shoulder while his fatigues are cut to shreds . . .
The ruins West of the Orks erupt in bolter fire and Gitbasher grins with glee as his hopes come true, if da ruins are gettin shot at, dere's gotta be somfin wurf choppin inside! Urging his boyz on he runs towards the ruins quickly disappearing in a cloud of dust. Before forgetting entirely why he was here, Gitbasher sends a couple of his boyz towards the central ruin.
Gazbat watches the Nob charge off towards the other side of the ruins, his crew left to go around the South. Deciding he was the bashiest one there he orders the others to run forwards towards some ruins South of them, could be somfin interestin dere. One of Gazbat's crew with a big shoota declares he's bored and fires off a clip from his rattler, destroying part of the ruins in front of the boys. Before Gazbat can give him a good bashing for firing before he said so, the six shoota boys in the crew all yell and start firing excitedly in the general direction of the ruins. Soon the rest of the slugga boyz are all firing madly and a couple try to charge forward. Gazbat squints at the ruins, his runty eyes straining to see that far, something catches them, he pulls up his own slugga, firing indiscriminately towards fun. Umies! Two of the skinny mushies explode from his crew's rain of hard slugs, Gazbat certain one of his shots hit. Another of the slugga boys makes it into combat, shrugging of the pathetic attacks of the umie, he smashes him good an proper with his slugga then cuts his leg off for good measure.
Gitbasher, hearing the kerfuffle from across the ruins roars in frustration that he isn't krunching 'eads and continues to run forward, the big shoota with him firing wildly in anticipation . . .
Vitellius watches as the Orks continue towards his team, firing their crude weapons crazily. Such foolish creatures, they cannot hit his men, they wouldn't even be able to see even his Sternguard with their woeful sight.
The ruins erupt. Scout Nerva is impaled by flying rockcrete while the rest of them duck for cover. Taken by surprise Vitellius looks for some new Ork unit, a battlewagon or warbuggy perhaps, something with the range and weapons to do this damage, to kill one of his men! Seeing nothing he takes stock of the situation, the fire angles a wrong, he'd been outflanked. But how? His Southern flank was secured by. He looks to Brother Otho for confirmation of radio contact with the other Astartes team, the marine shakes his head.
This cannot be. Fellow Ultramarines firing upon them! Already one of his Scouts killed and he was depending on his Southern flank to be secure to deal with the Orks. He may despise their way of waging war, but he will not underestimate them. Putting aside his disbelief at what was happening Vitellius orders his team to split fire, well aimed shots at the Orks finding their marks, shattering chests or nailing eyes, while a returning sniper round at the clearly traitorous Ultramarines finds it's niche in one of their necks . . .
Two of his men crumple, one missing an arm and shoulder, the other, half a head. The rest of his men duck for cover, weathering the hail of shots striking the ruins they had deployed in. Tradich, who had been one of the three scouting ahead, is caught as he runs back for cover, whipping around like one who has trained for hours, his attempts at killing the Ork come to nothing as the beast ignores everything in its crazed state, smashing the man with it's slugga in return.
A cloud of gun smoke covers the stretch between Orks and men, obscuring the charging brutes, but not their warcries, the one who had just killed Tradich too busy chopping him apart to notice anything around it. Bailif sees an opening and, after a curt signal on the squad intercom, the stormtroopers leap into action. A trooper calmly kills the Ork mauling Tradich as the squad runs forwards, Ewan sprints forward with his flamer, positioning himself in between the rampaging Orks and the rest of the squad. The next Ork visible sees Ewan and heads for him, screaming something about 'gazbattin time'. Ewan pumps the fuel paddle to get his custom mix flowing and then lets loose a torrent of burning promethium, guiding it back and forth incinerating five more Orks as they run past the first, now a blazing mass on the ground. Sergeant Bailif takes aim and eliminates an Ork roaring on top of a pile of rubble, while the rest of his squad down two more to concentrated fire . . .
