Evil, calculating eyes. Horus head is brilliant. I need it... Man... the bitz sites never have Primarch bitz... Edit - actually scratch that. Primarch heads would look ridiculous on normal marines, let him have it... I like his armour... Basdack heretic!

hmmm... apoc hellstorm template instant death for squadrons of 2+ hellhounds... handy if you like flamey death.
We saw the Knights featuring rules which mean they don't occupy FOC, now we have Hellstorms and D weapon upgrades to standard units.
The ability to pick and choose is eroding the flavour of codex's. It does give rise to themed armies and fluff builds... but how many gamers are using them (thankfully the IGMB tends to favour flavour!).
Seems we're going to be able to forget all about standard games with predictbale units: "my dataslate, this expansion, this Imperial Armour unit, my other FOC of allies, plus this new white dwarf equals uber mega deathstar and accompanying formations of crazy doom... what did you bring today, oh... just vanilla codex... oh well, "
actually, thats not really true - Imperial Armour book's tend to have fair if underpowered army lists.
ps : Horus. (and the recent Primarchs) doesn't have enough presence - the first few had motion, grace and a tangible 'feel' of visceral power, these later ones are static and, well, boring.

Doesn't it seem strange to be putting out new imperial guard formations before the new codex drops? I don't know, maybe it's just me but wouldn't it be smarter to release these after the new codex, and use the new units?

Those filthy Tau will never have the Damocles Gulf. Humanity is the rightful inheritor of the galaxy, that xenos filth should lay down and die to save themselves the suffering of seeing all that they know consumed by fire.
