The amount of character rumoured to be gone is ridiculous! I'm kinda peeved that I converted a catachan Al'Rahiem and have barley gotten to use him.

You and me both. I converted up 'Chan versions of all the named characters, and some of them I hadn't even painted yet, much less gotten to use. Imma be super-disappointed if the rumors of Marbo going away are also true.

DATASLATE - MARBO

That would suck if I had to pay to include Marbo in my lists again, he's been an auto include since I got the model.

Yeah, I would object to having to pay extra to be able to use him again. I haven't gotten any of the Dataslates, and actually I don't know if I've got a device that can run them--aren't they iPad only?

Still just a rumour, but wouldn't be surprised
To be honest, I think we'll be seeing a number of supplements/data slates with some of these characters put back in
And maybe even Codex ISB!! How cool would that be!! (Disengage sarcasm mode)

Ah yeah, I looked on BL last night, and the data slates can also work with Kindle, which I do have as an application on my compy.

It'll probably be a supplement; Codex Tallarn 4th platoon, 5th company, 63rd regiment. That'll leave room for plenty of other Tallarn supplements.

"Why should we give you a full codex for a million dollars, when we can give you half of one and then all the other stuff you want for two million?"
Also, that's a lot of dice in your avatar, yarrick22.

It just seems so wrong that they can release a Codex and then start dishing DATASLATES when there is no reason that the contents of these DATASLATES could have been included in the initial product :/

In other words, this. I like to think of it as the "EA" approach to sales.

special offer, mass effect 3 with mass effect 3 extended ending dlc oh and for an additional £40 you can buy a multiplayer booster which gives you a rifle the same as the one you have but this one has an asari tattoo sticker on it! this was a press release by EA games.

Jeez....I knew I should have painted faster. Marbo, Al'Rahiem...how many other primed only minis will I essentially have to buy again in a data slate? Maybe collecting and not playing is the place for me after all.

At least if its printed in a codex people will always be willing to try it out. Plus it gives us the possibility of an all rough rider 'dex in the future, which would, quite frankly, rock at 2k vs marine infantry lists. Quite niche, but it would be fun and I'd have to finish assembling those sixty riders and then some more..

You people, you are silly. You think in terms of logic. It has been long since proven that GW makes business decisions based on the premise outlined in this video: youtu.be/wz-PtEJEaqY

I recently saw the table that GWS uses to make their plans: 1D6 1 = cost increase 2 = merge kit 3 = cost increase 4 = reduce staff 5 = reduce range 6 = change website 7 = Sisters of battle new codex so yeah...
