Freakin' wow. The 99th Elysians are expensive but awesome. - BS4 Tauros, Sentinels and flyers
- All troopers WS4, BS4 and Stubborn
- 5-10 man special weapon squads (and every man gets a spec-wep)
- 2-8 man sniper squads (With upgrade to provide 60" range and Night Vision)
- 5-13 man veteran squads (With, sadly, only one spec-wep)
Also the ability to switch out the xeno-fighters (Nids) for a different xenos, but in that case something goes wrong - the worst of three choices is: must consolidate toward enemy or make run moves if not firing. Means you can't fire heavy weapons without snap-shooting if someone in the squad (like the spotters in a sniper squad) isn't shooting... This will have to take some thought. This gives me the op to convert my 28th into an all-veteran outfit... very heavily armed. Where did you read all of this i dont see most of it! FMJ

You do have volume IV, right? And Second Edition, published 2014? (Sorry, I have to ask, I'm a professional librarian) The army list is pp. 94-111.
60" sniping is if the spotters have Magnoculars from p. 96.
The spec-wep squads are also known as Extermination and Execution squads, page 105.

If they're doing Volume 5 next, which they should, then it'll be the Siege of Vraks. That is Chaos guard renegades VS DKoK siege regiment, I think.

I like coming up with regimental names and themes, usually after folk music or history. Actually building the armies is another thing... I based one name on a single verse of a Scottish song about oilworkers: We're the toughest gang of workers soldiers that you have ever met We'll work or fight with anyone, and you can lay a bet There may be some men tougher, but we haven't found them yet Remember, we're the Kishorn Commandos!

I'm sure everyone is devastated that the D99 HQ's do not have "Voice of Command" and therefore cannot issue orders. (I still maintain that Forgeworld, in their usual inept style, just forgot to put it in after they cut and paste the HQ stats from the 1st edition).
Anyway ... I was having one of my opiate induced thoughts and I thought about this.
A Primary Det of D99 and a Secondary Det of Elysians fron IA8 or IA3.
The D99 squads could receive and act upon the two orders issued from the Secondary Det HQ couldn't they?
