Olè, i'm new here. I apologize for the bad english, i hope that you will understand everything... I'm an old player how want to start another time to play the game. I created my own reggiment, a mechanized force who came from a agri-world, i used the steel legion models but i don't know if i should paint in the proper way, or in my own... anyway, here the list. I hope that you could help my with this
Lord Commissar- platoon command unit- with flag, vox and krak granade infantry squad with missilethrower, vox and grenadethrower x 2 Chimera for them, with multylaser x 2 Leman russ exterminator with heavyrequiem, and pair of heavy requiem and fire barrels, extra armor Valkyrie with multylaser and 2 hellstrike missiles 5 rough rider
tot. 745
i'd like to put a griffon and 20 conscripts instead of the valkyrie... but the griffon is from the hold codex, and i don't know what could i do to improve it?

Hello, ugulufu, welcome to the forum. Unfortunately we're not allowed to post points values; its fine just doing the overall points costs for a unit or detachment. You can edit your post and delete points values by choosing 'edit' from the settings button (just right of the thumbs up sign at the top right, just above your post). Personally I hate missile launchers and grenade launchers right now, in 7th edition. Why not take lascannonry instead. 5 rough riders; interesting. Which models are you using for them? Do you see I never realised you could arm a Leman Russ with ElegaicRequiem but that is so awesome.

Well, i'm not too good in conversion to change the weapons of the steel legion, anyway i will see to play with the lascannon instead, i was thinking instead to give them only rifles. The riders i plan to use some ww1 early brits cavalry, with bit of modification, and painting them like the others. They have lances, so may look like hunting lances. I hope that's enought. I have to decide, but i really like the idea to add them. The leman russ armed in that way is good aganist tyranids?

Griffon is in the old dex but I think it is also in one of the current Forge World lists, you might be able to get it that way.

Do you see I never realised you could arm a Leman Russ with ElegaicRequiem but that is so awesome. It costs 1000 points each time, and automatically makes your list a Ministry of Pants list.

1000 points per Requiem?! A bargain! I don't remember if Steel Legion have lascannons or not. If not try to find the Mordian metal lascannon and just glue 2 metal steel legion dudes on the base to act as crewmen (preferably drill and pin one of them into the base to act as a wound marker, so he gets removed if you lose 1 wound.) Is 'heavy requiem' a heavy bolter? They're OK, nothing special. The sponsons are better on an exterminator but if it was me I'd take a normal leman russ with a lascannon and no sponsons because they snap shot when you fire Ordnance. If the enemy destroys your battlecannon the tank can still take on armour and most of all that big pie plate flying around with S8 causes huge amounts of pain to enemy units in general.
