Hey all,
Been collecting guard since I was 14, but relatively new to actually playing games consistently. After browsing through the available formations that IG have to offer, I formulated this list that seems like it could be fun to play, but any opinions would be appreciated. It was built with a take all comers mentality.

Vox Caster
Chimera w/ dozer

Veteran Squad

130 points
Formation points: 873
EMPEROR'S WRATH ARTILLERY COMPANY
CCS
Warlord
Lascannon Team
1 Sniper Rifle
Chimera

Hydra Battery (1)
70 points
Wyvern Battery (3)

Manticore
170 points
Enginseer w/ meltabombs

Formation points: 627
Total: 1500
Playstyle is pretty straightforward. Assault company rides forward in their metal boxes while shooting out of their hatches to take objectives/hunt enemies based off of what their special weapons are good against. Obj sec and having pref enemy against units close to objectives is just gravy (and helps the plasma to not get hot hopefully when it happens). Artillery company gets plopped on my backlines behind whatever cover I can find and bombs things like they should while receiving orders from the CCS mostly just for ingoring cover. Backline CCS is equipped with some longer range weaponry for taking pot shots at visible enemies across the board. Hydra is a little underwhelming, but it's my little bit of hedging against flyers and there are enough skimmer based armies in my meta for it to hopefully at least earn its points back. I thought about trying to bring a Basilisk instead of the Hydra for extra punch, but the greater point cost would require me to neuter my vet squads and I'm not particularly a big fan of the huge minimum range on the cannon.
In addition, all the squads in the assault formation are equipped with voxes to take advantage of the artillery company's rule to give the artillery twin-linked....which granted only really affects the Manticore since all the other artillery are already TL, but still seemed useful enough for the Manticore alone. Not really sure what the enginseer is gonna do, but most likely he'll just ride along with the assault CCS to try and keep their chimera alive longer. The meltabombs were thrown on him just because I had 5 extra points I didn't know what to do with.
The friends I play with aren't particularly competitive and mostly play for the fluff and spectacle while doing our best to avoid bringing unfun cheesy lists, but we all play to win. This list is an attempt at doing something fun but still being able to hold it's own against a variety of opponents if played right. Anyone have any advice? Any gaping holes in strategy I missed? Any input is appreciated.
