Have a slightly blurry picture of some more Orks.

What a Beautiful site.
I would love to fight against that Ork army.
How long did that take you to build?

whats the looted wagon at the back left made from?
parts of a gene-stealer cult and some kind of railgun?
looking good Reds, I'm guessing you utiltised the loota's box to make a bunch of burna boys too.
I'm also liking what appears to be 6 custom heavy weapon units, can we have closer looks at these please!
(for the extra couple of quid the Stompa really towers over the gorkanought! - the 'nought does tie nicely with the walker theme very nicely though!)

Did you do anything with the Orkanaut interior?

Did you do anything with the Orkanaut interior? The interior will be FULL OF ORKS. But other than that no. Also some BA stuff I've been working on. From left to right, Custodes with the non-stupid FW head (can't remember if I posted an image), Company Veteran with dual hand flamers, Sanguinor 2.0, Company Veteran with storm shield and power lance (which needs a new spear tip), Captain with storm shield and power lance who hijacked the armor of a spare Sanginary Guard.

Are those the wings from the TGG2's sainted saint?

Yes. My model had some pretty bad imperfections and fit together poorly (and I already had St. Celestine), so I cannibalized it.

I feel like he's compensating. Maybe his bolter is a different caliber.

I feel like he's compensating. Maybe his bolter is a different caliber. Look at this chestplate, he's wearing nipples on his nipples. He's already compensated for everything.

Thanks to the fact that standard bearers are now a separate single model unit, and that I have a mild neurosis about units with odd numbers of men (so long as that number isn't 5), I had a spare Sanguinary Guard, which I've converted into a captain with storm shield, power lance, and jump pack. And artificer armor even if there aren't rules for that anymore, damn it. As with everything I paint, it needs touch ups, but I'm happy enough with it to be done for now.

So with Raven Guard being not terrible, I figure I might as well swap my non-denominational marines back to RG successors. That said, if I'm going to be jumping on a given bandwagon, I'm going to pay for my ticket. To that end, I decided to add some 'Tacti-cool" sternguard to my army. I ordered some spec ops marine torsos from Anvil Industry, loaded up on scout bits and such, and went to town. The captain who will be the HQ for the detachment. Aside from that scope (Anvil Industry again, it fits perfectly on a bolter), everything is GW parts. Two sergeants. You can see the pouch toros clearly here. They look a little unbalanced due to how "full" they are, but I still quite like them. Jump Chaplain with a head from Anvil. The backpack is going to be the raven guard relic one. Reroll charge rolls? Yes please. Another little project. Female Scions! The heads are, unfortunately, out of production, but I've got another 20 or so stashed away if I want to expand. These are mostly going to be inquisitorial shock troopers. I've got two squads with the pouch torsos, plus two more that are GW, but I've added 3rd party pouches and such to the legs, shoulderpads, etc. I'm also working on an apothecary and techmarine for the force, and maybe a chaplain if I can find the parts.

Cool looking stuff there Reds How are you liking the Anvil bits so far? I've been eyeing their trench shotguns for a while but haven't seen any reviews outside of their webshop.

I'm happy with everything I got from them. The torsos aren't quite a proper fit for GW legs, but that's an easy trim. The detail is excellent, shipping was fast, and for resin, prices are reasonable.

I rather like the sternguard. If/when I start my own RG list I might use a squad or two.

Those Scions look pretty good. The plasma gun is huuuge though. Not that is really a problem, oversized sci-fi gun pattern plasma is still good plasma.

The chaplain looks crazy as well. I like the relic jump pack but the plasma is a bit risky on a 2 wound model...

@empty: Yeah, it's a marine plasma gun. It's actually the same size as the one in the kit, but the pose and how I was holding the camera make it look even bigger.
@chem: Eh, I'm not planning on super charging it, so I won't have to worry.

Oh yeah, I forgot supercharging & failing is instant death now..
Might have to make a jp chaplain for 8th ed eventually but points are very stretched in the battle company plan.

I've finally gotten back to my Ynnari army to update it for 8th. I've managed to prime 4 raiders, 2 ravagers, 11 jet bikes, 2 venoms, a void raven, a succubus, a converted seer council, and a Farseer I made out of a Sister of Silence body and some Dark Eldar bits. Aside from learning that I can't paint fire (which, admittedly, I already suspected), I did manage to figure out a color scheme I like. The basic armor is grey, with the plates and other "ablative" parts boltgun metal. Black and red for cloth, since that's the Ynnari color scheme. Painting my Wyches will be a nightmare.

Been almost a month since I posted something, so I may as well show off some of what I've been doing. First, my most recent project. It's a mixed Admech/IG force, but with the IG converted to look a bit more mechanicus-y. For things like Scions, that's as simple as a head swap. For some of the officers and other units, that's a bit more effort. Tempestor Prime and a basic Company Commander with a shotgun. Officers of the Fleet/Masters of Ordnance. Part of my evil plan for a 2k list is to have a vanguard detachment of three of these and a dirt cheap HQ, then deploy my Marauder Destroyer. Throwing out 30 shots and 8 bombs with no penalty for moving isn't bad at all, and by taking three Officers of the Fleet, I can probably cover a large portion of the table with their reroll bubble. Plus I get another CP, so that's nice. This guy takes that CP away if I use him. Proxy mechanicus Vindicare. My plan is to field some of these as proxy heavy weapon teams. Unrelated. I'm happy with the armor and the white part of the wings, the rest I need to work on.
